currently restoring my 89 sedan. My first car bought in 95. Glad I never got rid of it. I've rebuilt the engine and redone suspension. Mostly stock. Just need to do some interior work and repaint original silver.
@@oldskool1979 probably not very many in Canada. The snow and salt destroy these cars. Unless its one of those kept in barn finds. I recently came across a dx sedan that had 90k kms on it in Vancouver for $2500. Looked like it was in good shape but any clean original ef's are rare.
LOVE this car! My '91 looked exactly like this but it was white. I loved that car. It was standard shift and geared very low but was a fun car to drive. I swear I think it got almost 50 mpg. I paid $500 for it. I had it parked on the street and some asshole hit it so hard they pushed it up the street totalling it and took off. Never did find them. Luckily I had another car as I used to work 40 miles away. I've always missed my old Civic!
Wow this thing is minty! I’m in loveeee! 😻 I probably won’t ever be able to find one that clean here in Texas or not without paying an arm and a leg. That’s a nice gem you have there. You really take care of it toooo! I love how original it is.. She will definitely last 300k miles or more easy! Such a beauty! 💜
Beautiful sedan wow I have one that I put a dc5 type motor and trans in you it was pretty clean when I bought but yours is even cleaner love the og pin stripes
Okay so can I get some insight on this car. Cause I’m debating if I want to get one of these for a first car. Do you think they would be worth it for a first car ? ( the one I am looking at has 132,000 mileage ) -what problems does it come with -will it last long -Is it a good daily car just to go to school and go out with -How much regular maintenance do I need
Its old... will need parts which are unattainable for the most part...Honda doesnt have any stock left ! I wouldnt buy it ! Will be a headache to maintain if things break which rarely does..
I have a 99 Civic EX Coupe Red with 161,000 miles honestly the Civic I like the most is the 4th generation sedan the body style of that generation is excellent. I agree with you on the comment how someone would say it's just an old Civic if they rear ended the car. There are so many people that underestimate the older Honda Civics I have had mine for 3 years now I am the 2nd owner and the car has been nothing but reliable. My aunt keeps telling me to get a newer Honda and how the car is reaching the end of it's life and will be unreliable. People like her don't know what they are talking about my Civic runs just as good if not better than a car that is much younger and that has less miles car runs absolutely perfect when I drive it. I plan on keeping the car for a long time eventually get an antique plate for it I don't want a newer car I am afraid I would not find a newer Civic that is as good as the ones from the 80s and 90s. In several years if I do get a newer car the Civic I have now would be a secondary car I am not selling it anytime soon. If I was ever in a accident if the car is not totally fucked up I would try to fix it I would not let the insurance company total a good running car if I can repair it at home.
A very cool car!!
The '88 Civic DX was my first Honda! Great car!
Loved your civic..
I have the Civic 1988 model here in Pakistan 🇵🇰
My Dad's car since 1989....304000 km and still goes on..
The engines were built to last a lifetime but most sffered from rust issues !

Very nice! The paint is so clean and the interior is so mint. That's a beauty!
Thanks. Not bad for a 33+ year old daily driver Honda in Canada. How many are left like this you think ?

Another amazing gem! Love how it's almost all original also!
Actually I got the CRX exhaust off of someone locally.
MY FIRST CAR!!! SAME COLOR! Her name was Cheryl Civic and I loved her!!! I thought the plunging hoodline was so damned cool!

What kind of rims?
CSA Polaris Australian 15x7
No comparison of any other budget cars with honda, look at the feel of this car in 1988....honda is always 10-15 years ahead of time.
I can get this car but for the 90 model with 125k miles for 4k$ is it worth it ?
As long as there no rust, manual, and A/C works... sure.
What if it’s a automatic, it isn’t manual
