He's a great role model. Positive vibes all round though I wish he would move on from Priest. He got off and that ship has sailed. KK's Priest is the future!
I just found this in 2021!! So much has changed, but I've been a fan since 1980. Ram is a great record, but would have been monumental with Scott Travis. Turbo was an awesome album, IMO.
I just love it how at 1:00 Rob talks to KK while the interviewer is on his knees talking to both of them, and they're both talking without listening to each other.
KK should never have permed his hair. It looks so much better straight and natural like he does now. It was 1988 and I remember everyone was doing it including me. Mine all fell out eventually!! Love Ram It Down one of my fave JP albums. Bought the LP when it came out and saw them on the tour. Great night out. Oh the memories. ☺️
There's a literal party happening on the back of his head? I don't think you know what "literally" means. Although, it's been 5 years, so maybe you've learned something since then.
Jesus, I remember going to buy Ram It Down on cassette(!) the day it was released. The tape player in my car was broken so I had to wait until I got home to listen to it
I had to think about it & write them down on paper I was right. Ram it Down was their 11th Album. since they didn't show it I wonder who got it Right & won those lps & Shirts. and yes to be honest if asked in 1988 I wouldn't have known. I had about 4 Judas priest tapes at that time.
I was a diehard Priest fan and counted 10 studio albums including RID. I also had The best of Judas Preist on Gull records, Hero, Hero (my absolute favorite compilation, Live In Japan (second favorite), and Priest Live. Have I missed any up to this video?
Out in the cold is another classic. See, Turbo was maligned by fans by being too commercial, fluffy and weak. Actually, there’s 4 great songs and the rest are solid party tunes. For sure Defenders was better. Screaming was great. British Steel was great. The real drop was Ram It Down although not as deep as Jugulator or Demolition. Thank god Painkiller came and kicked some serious ass ! Arguably their pinnacle !
@@boke75 I remember the period when Turbo Lover was released...I was reviewing singles in a local music magazine. I wasn't a Judas Priest fan at the time, but I thought the song was good and I could see the core fans would n't be happy. They seem to be a band that were trying to find a niche in the early days and succeeded, then faced that period where they embraced technology and it backfired a little......but fck what a great band live then and now...which is what matters most for a stadium metal act..
in north america we know a crazy from the heat DLR shirt WITH a biker leather jacket don't go, that was maybe a look MTV in the 80's cultivated via videos but no really the look. VH and DLR are AWESOME I grew up on it but leather jackets go with HEAVY METAL shirts.... anyway, real stoned and just sayin don't kill me.....oh man remember the chicks in Jordache or spandex in high school and living this era, lived it and love it DUDE !!!
1251wire exactly and the way the girls dressed in the 80's Was really hot like the leather mini skirts and the leather pants! From head to toe,the girls looked the hottest! And of course Van Halen kicked ass but for me,priest hit the hardest ! Downing And Tipton are a hec of a guitar inspiration! Party on!
weirdly enough (since he mentions fans askin for songs like exciter) The song Exciter is a song i dont paticularly like. i dont hate it but it seems quite thin to me, hard as iron of sentinal any day
According to KKs memoirs he did a bit of LSD when he was very young and since did not at all like all kinda drugs and stayed away from them (exceptions made for drinks and screwing ;-) ). Rob on the other hand talked about serious addiction issues in his memoirs, down to the very final OD which he barely survived - worth a read!
"Featuring Johnny B Goode", umm No. This tour was my first time seeing them. I even bought the tape a few days later, but today I think this was their worst album. Aside from "Ram it Down" it sucks. Thank god they got their shit together for Painkiller.
K.K. always seems like he is a very happy guy.
He's a great role model. Positive vibes all round though I wish he would move on from Priest. He got off and that ship has sailed. KK's Priest is the future!
@@rushshukla4636 I don't. He deserves to have his spot back. He's K.K. Downing. Glen is finished and Andy Sneap should not be on stage.
K.K. i still always happy in 2023 and especially with his own band.
i waste a lot of time watching these old interviews....and it's worth every second

KK is sooooooooooo GORGEOUS:)
Ram it down in vinyl !! Cool !! Awesome !! And the original tshirt !! 1988
Rob and K.K. are down to earth that's why they're awesome.

My favorite band ever
METAL GODS!
man i love this band so much. xxx
wow, KK looked good here! Judas Priest! \m/
He almost looks like Mel Gibson's older brother. lol
Robs hair: business up front - party in the rear. Literally.

@@Chugins he was a brave guy getting down on his knees in front of rob lol🤣🤣🤣
Liked every song from that one
Awesome interview, thanks! They're playing "Ice 9" by Joe Satriani in the background awesome
KK I soooooooooooooo GORGEOUS :)
K. K. 😍

Rocket NumberNine good old times lol
Better you did to take the time to enjoy it properly.
No KK/Glen = no JP
When Ric Flair was in Judas Priest - WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!!!!!!!
Awwww k.k.
Ken look so young
He turned 37 in 1988.
Los putos amos... 🤘🤘🤘 Forever judas priest os kiero 🤘🤘🤘
Such a disgrace they got rid of KK.
True, but at least we get more music now that KK is out doing his thing.
KK quit. Thank goodness. They're a sinking ship. KK's Priest is much better!
@@rushshukla4636 Really? I didn’t know he created his own band. Are they called so?

Judas Priest beste Heavy Metal Band aller Zeiten👍👍👍👍👍👍
Funny how Turbo Lover got the flick back the....great song these days!
Locked In and Reckless were great, too.
@@boke75 I'll have a listen.

Agreed!
great show in Germany 1988
What song is he meantioning when it't cuts.
Satriani playing in the background
lol "Oswald Osbourne" :P
Is the competition still running??
Yes
Joe Satriani in the background!😆😂🎸🤘🤘

Damn that other who is interviewing them looks like paul dianno
LISA WILLIAMS-KKDOWNING happy birthday my friend.
Can I still answer the question and get a free t-shirt and album? hahaha
Johnny B Goode: The ONLY Priest tune I don't like. I guess that's why Chuck Berry is the REAL king of rock n roll
It sucks. One of the worst covers ever. However, their covers of Diamonds and Rust and The Green Manalishi are awesome.
It's not that bad, at least there's nothing disco about it it's still rocking hard and heavy.
what's the song title??
It is unfortunate that they have not sold 100 M copie

I don't believe K.K. was ever into drugs. The same cannot be said for Halford though...
Jude D Halford did a lot of pain pills back in the day but he’s been sober for 30 plus years kk on the other hand I don’t know about

Satch playing... in case you didnt read the 1000s of comments
Why on earth did you have to use computer programmed drumming on Ram It Down? It destroys it all.
Joe Satriani on backmusic.. nice
lol the interviewer barely moves his lips when he talks.
Yet moves his hips and legs everywhere😅
@moserr11 you serious man ?
I’m going to miss that beautiful belly of Ken 😁😂🤣😄😆
Mel Gibson on guitar

Gibson (Flying V)
or Ice 9

Why tf they all sounds the same 😂I think it's the accent lol

Ram it down is the most underrated album in history
ram it down sucked
@Lili-Ann Góvi Exactly! 👍
Who is the interviewer?
