This is one of the slowest Shatabdhi Express, Seriously IR should increase the speed's of South Indian Shatabdhi's to run at a constant speed of 130kmph at least 120kmph so that a distance of 450km can be covered in 5hrs at the maximum.. I feel north Indian Shatabdhi's are given more priority and we are neglected.
Almost All "premium" trains in south are just waste of money. They only save 30 minutes of travel time, when compared to other SF express, in a 500km journey. I would definitely prefer paying less money and travelling for 30 mins extra in a non premium train.
This Shatabdi is slower than both SBC-MAS as well as MAS-MYS Shatabdis. We need SR to stop treating this train like a joke. 12028 SBC-MAS Shatabdi is the best maintained and also the fastest among the three, but it is from SWR Bengaluru Division. Basically this tells us that SR needs to up its Shatabdi game.

They can start with the AC trains later proceeding with the others. Will take time fir the public to comply but these are habits which can be changed
This has been implemented in all Tejas Expresses and both of the Vande Bharat Expresses. Since all Shatabdis are slated to be replaced by Vande Bharats, I think automatic doors will become widespread pretty soon :)

Yes true but WAP7 is used mainly for HOG (Head-on generation) purposes. So the power for Shatabdi's AC is taken from the Engine itself. It saves a lot of diesel expenses by turning off the end-on-generators. WAP-1/4 don't have any HOG, so it's important that SR continues to use P7 for Shatabdi.
Pls update the timings of stations in the video ,at the time of crossing those stations...and so you doesn't tell the departure time of train in Chennai also
So sad to see how much catering has been overwhelmed by regulations and packaging. Used to be clay cups and tin trays with food supplied by towns enroute. So much rubbish beside the tracks.
sheesh- the outside of the train compartments are plastered with posters, advertisements and ugly paint colors. Don't know why they cannot address these simple things
