Welcome home brother, I am a cradle Catholic,my husband converted into the Catholic Church last year in April 2020. Due to the COVID 19 restriction, it was not possible for him to be received into the Church on Easter Night. It was the second Easter Sunday he converted. It was a reunion of faith as a family for me and our four kids, because our kids and I were already there. Him as a strong Methodist follower I did not want to force anything onto him but kept praying for him in our 14years of marriage. I continue to pray for him as a convert for a strong faith. God bless you and your family.🙏

Very interesting! I met a couple LDS guys on mission in my town several years ago and we had a couple good talks. I talked to them about the Early Church and what I’d found that had lead me to Catholicism. They said their religious leaders actually encouraged them to read widely, and they took a couple books from me of Early Church writings. I told them, “All I ask is that you not take them to be polite then throw them in a dumpster. Bring them back or donate them somewhere if not interested.” They assured me they’d read them and not throw them away. They were really nice young men. I’ve often wondered whatever happened to them.

“The hot chocolate table.” Oh my gosh I laughed so hard. You’re awesome. This video is awesome. I have been in the same boat, raised the same way. Pioneer stock on one side of the family…converts on the other. For a few years, going back and forth with my testimony and beliefs expanding in Jesus… and strangely the Lord leading me, it seems, to investigate the Catholic faith again. Your sense of humor is refreshing to one raised in the Lds traditions but probably is overlooked by others outside of the upbringing, but thanks for keeping it real. And thanks for the video. Glad I stumbled upon it. Many prayers to you and your family. Please pray for me if you get a chance to read this.
Praying for you and your family, brother! Sounds like you made it home for all the right reasons. About your request for anti-Catholic literature-there is PLENTY of it out there. But what gives me confidence about being Catholic is knowing that the Church has been around for nearly 2,000 years, so pretty much every question has been asked and answered convincingly by someone smarter than me. “To be Catholic is to seek the truth wherever it may be found.” -St. Augustine
What a great testimony. It's 2024, and I pray that both you and your family converted, after all. Like you, I had an emotional reaction to the burning of Notre Dame Cathedral. It was when I saw and heard a group kneeling on the sidewalk in eyeshot of the fire, singing the Salve Regina. I wish I had been there with them. Finally, congratulations on surviving a Life Teen Mass! Ave crux, Bill
I am viewing this exactly 1 yr after you posted it. I am assuming you have made your Sacraments and are now a member of the Catholic Church. I stopped the video at your prayer request for your family and will continue to pray for your family daily. I welcome you to life in truth in the Trinity ❤️

You really pray for me daily? And yes I did get baptized, confirmed, and received first communion on Easter vigil of this year, 2021. Peace be with you.
I was born Protestant. Converted to Mormonism in my teenage years. Left in my late 20s. I am now searching and have also found myself drawn to the Catholic Church. It's strange because I would have NEVER thought I'd be interested. THANK YOU for this video. I don't see many Mormons to Catholic conversion stories. :)
Welcome Home! I will pray for the full conversion of your family - you are totally correct. A unified family in their faith is a stronger family. I am so sorry no one made you feel welcome when you went to Mass - we need to be much better at this and my husband and I try to go out of our way to welcome new people. Check into Natural Family Planning - I wish I had known about it in my younger days; I fell into the "follow your conscience" without having it properly formed and used contraception for years before I realized it was a sin. God Bless you on your journey! Added note: we are in a conversation with two Mormon Missionaries who contact us - they just don't understand how strong in my faith I am; and I keep mentioning to them "well, that's fine, but we believe..." They send me things, but when I send them things on Catholicism and what we believe (it's only fair - back and forth right) they give me excuses about how they don't have access to youtube, etc. We will see if I can plant any seeds.
Thanks, Ben, for your transparency and honesty while telling us your faith journey. I'm a Catholic in Phoenix and wish I could welcome you into the Catholic church personally. I've thought much about the challenge of meeting and developing friendships in the church. My parish has 5 Sunday masses, so there are many "possible friendships" I will never know. I attend the 7 am, the one with fewer people. And in the Protestant/Mormon worlds it's easier because there are always outgoing people or official greeters to get the ball rolling. Noise is a part of their chapel worship, so it is easier to chat. On the good side of this issue, as a Catholic, I love being able to communicate with Christ in the quiet reverence of the chapel. Then...a woman Bonnie behind me taught the "art" of meeting people. Take the first step. It may feel awkward at first, but if you stick with it, you'll get bolder and friendlier. One morning at the end of Mass, she got my attention behind. Here's the general short dialogue: Hi, My name is Bonnie, and I have noticed you sitting in front of me for several masses. (Held out her hand to shake.) Are you new to the parish?...Ben, just think of 5 opening questions that start the conversation. How long have you been attending here? I'm new. It doesn't have to be long...a short 30 second greeting will build over the weeks as you wave and say HI each Sunday. YOU be that GUY. :) Welcome home to the Catholic Church.
I just listen to this a year after you put it out and I just love you! You’re just so honest and real and I love being a Catholic but I was a 1970s Catholic often don’t even follow anything the church teaches and still call themselves Catholic. and then last couple years I started going to a more traditional Catholic church and I’m blessed to have a Latin mass very close to me so I just wanted to say how much I like listening to your video it’s a year out I don’t know if your wife has converted but like you I have benefited from Marshall Taylor and all the other great Catholic bloggers. God bless you in your journey!!
Mormon for 10 years. It's hard to fully convert and put behind you all those things in which you were programmed to believe. One scripture freed me. Matthew 18:1-4. Turn and become like a child or you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Become like a child, put all your faith in Jesus, you do not have to become perfect, have only the perfect faith of a child for their father. Let go, my brother, have peace in your heart. It's hard, I know.
Welcome Home :) I have mormon friends one that I am very close too! She knows I don't buy her religion at all but the mormons are so sweet n nice I do sincerely love them always! The elders are so kind! I admire their lifestyle as in clean living no soda ect: serving God by serving others! God bless us all with deeper conversion daily!
The Mormon missionaries are nice, but they’re being deceived by a fraudulent organization. If their church leaders were honest, the missionaries would probably stop knocking on doors.
I was raised LDS and was baptized into the Catholic Church at Pentecost. Welcome home to the Catholic Church! I will pray for your family and for you to continue to learn the truth that is Catholicism. I highly recommend you watch the Catholicism Series from Bishop Barron (I know dr Taylor marshal bashes him a lot but he really has good content). I also highly recommend you look into Christopher West and he book The Good News About Sex and Marriage. It was vital for helping me to understand the teaching on contraception. Beautiful testimony. Would like to get an update video on how things are going now with your Catholic faith and how your family is doing. I’m a recovering Catholic, and I love watching these kinds of videos. Thank you so much for sharing.
I have a couple of thoughts. One is, when going to a Catholic Church, we feel that we are there to worship and not to socialize, so people aren't as social in general. Plus, because there are usually more than one Mass, people might think that you usually go to another Mass and that you have been a member of the parish for years. So, they might not want to be rude and introduce themselves and welcome you, one as they want to let you pray, and again they don't know that you are new. I had an opposite situation. When I was in college, low those many years ago, I had a protestant friend who invited me to go to his church. When I went, people kept coming up to me and talking and asking me questions, I felt a bit shell shocked and felt under seige. I wasn't used to that in church.
Greetings Ben from an Australian cradle Catholic. I remember when I was a teenager in the 1970s hearing about a distant cousin who married Mormon man and moved to the USA. My paternal grandfather received letters asking about our family’s genealogy, which sparked our own interest in our family tree. I found out about my great great grandfather who at 33 landed in Melbourne in 1866, seeking his fortune in the Victoria goldfields, but was too late. He instead drove coaches in northeast Victoria and dabbled with little gold mining ventures around Bright and Myrtleford. A big concern for us was that he was a member of the mariner’s version of “the Lodge”, the Masonic Temple in other words. This did not go down well with us Catholics. So we prayed for his soul, even though he passed away in about 1901. This whole story comes full circle, as I read that the Mormon temple in Utah has many masonic rituals and symbols.
"Tell sinners that I am always waiting for them, that I listen intently to the beating of their heart... when will it beat for Me? Write, that I am speaking to them through their remorse of conscience, through their failures and sufferings, through thunderstorms, through the voice of the Church. And if they bring all My graces to nauht, I begin to be angry with them, leaving them alone and giving them what they want." (from the Diary of Saint Faustina Kowalska; 1728)
Thank you. God has blessed me abundantly and I pray that he will continue to do so. It’s nice to think that so many people are in the same religion as me. We are united in our beliefs!
I’m Catholic and live n Salt Lake City. I have a lot of Mormon friends that are good people and I know that your conversion is a wonderful thing. Here I think a lot of professional men don’t really believe in the LDS church but would be totally shunned if they left it. I certainly will pray for your family. Perhaps your wife( and you) could read Scott Hahns conversion book as his wife didn’t convert right away even though both were evangelicals. Will be praying for you too!
A gift for storytelling? Thank you!!! You’re very kind. Hey you know what’s cool? I might get excommunicated from the Mormon church soon. Idk. Anyway, I’m officially Catholic now. I got baptized Easter of this year.
As long as you’re at peace you’re where you need to be. God wants our hearts to be happy. I’d only caution about people like Dr. Marshall. He may be well intentioned but sometimes people get so caught up in religion and religious arguments that they lose spirituality, their Godliness, and understanding of what’s important in the process. Be like Pope Francis, be like Jesus :) And you should definitely go to a Latin mass!
Yea sometimes Dr. Marshall puts it in a way where it causes alot of catholics to hate our pope. He may or may not have that intention but it was created and we should not have hatred like that for our Pope.
Hy Memsik. Hope you're well. Do you mind expanding a bit on your thoughts? I had a funny feeling while reading your comment, it was like, this isn't properly wrong but isn't 100% true also. But probably is because I'm not understanding your view. Here's why I had that feeling: religion is of a higher nature than spirituality (because religion is about our connection with God, and spirituality, well, let's be honest, nowadays is everything that goes a little bit off materialism); and truth is God, so it can't be beat in importance; but your comment feels like is valuing feelings and spirituality above truth and religion. And also, how would you harmonize your second sentence "God wants our hearts to be happy" with his promisse of persecution because of His name? Like I said, I would know how to make sense of everything you said, but it needs some work and contextualization. Btw, I heard about Dr. Marshall but only saw one of his videos, so i'm not defending anyone here. God bless you!
@feebeedee I think you just proved Dr Marshall peddles poison. Either you believe Our Lord’s promise or you don’t. Even bad Popes ensure unity for the Body and are prevented from erring in faith and morals. Douay Rheims is a good Bible; mine is St Benedict press. RSV is good too.
Hi, Ben, thank you very much for this. I just wanted to say that Catholics also pray the way you called "the Mormon way". We Catholics use traditional formula prayers like the "Our Father", "Hail Mary", Glory. We also use the Psalms in the so-called Liturgy of the Hours or the "Divine Office", we also do "spontaneous, use-my-own-words" prayer. Thank you very much again for sharing your story and for your continued appreciation of what is good in the Mormon community.
Thank you for sharing your experience! Your conversion story and mission for truth is inspiring. I am also a traditional Catholic, following ALL the teachings of the Catholic faith. I strongly encourage you to listen to the Pints with Aquinas podcast. Matt Fradd does a beautiful job discussing Catholic church teaching through the eyes of Thomas Aquinas. I think you would like it :) God bless you and all of us on our journey towards God!
I got baptized this year, at Easter. My wife is still Mormon. My kids are weird Mormon/Catholic hybrids. I pray the rosary daily and etc. peace be with you. Idk if I will make another video. But if you have a question ask me and maybe I’ll answer it in a year or so. Lol.
I respect your honesty. I'm lds in Australia. I've had spiritual experiences all my life (even well before I joined the church). I joined because of a spiritual experience. I also have gained a testimony of the books coming out from the native Americans themselves. The nemenhah records (book, second complete edition). The ojibwe nation just had their book of Mormon conference (both these things have been ignored by the lds church). The ojibwe showed thier records, infact they had to get 2 scrolls back from the Vatican who stole them centuries ago. They all testify that the Book of Mormon is true. It's worth a look. This doesn't mean we have to live everything they share, and that doesn't mean the church is better, either. Just saying I follow jesus to the best of my ability, and that's what's important. If being Catholic helps you to do that, so be it.
I really liked your video! You were very sincere in your love for your conversion to Catholicism. I’m a cradle Catholic and just stared,in my fifties, to study, appreciate and love my Catholic faith. I’ll pray for your families conversion. I watch on RUclips videos of Dr. Brant Pitre, Catholic Production, explaining in great detail the teachings of the Bible and the Catechism. It’s also help’s my husband who is not Catholic understand teachings of the Bible that he didn’t understand coming from his Evangelical church. I’m praying for his conversion!😁 God Bless you and your family!
Interesting how this works out. I will admit to a certain amount of affection for the Catholic church. And if I were to lose my testimony of the Book of Mormon and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the RCC might be where I'd end up, but as a convert to the LDS church since I was 15, that's about as unlikely as it gets. In my old ward there was a lady who resigned her LDS membership and returned to the RCC, but after a few years came back to being LDS because she said she felt the Spirit more as a Mormon than as a Catholic. And I hope you find your way back, too! In the meantime, you have my best wishes!
Welcome home, brother. Despite all the problems of the Church, I love my faith because it's where the Truth is. People fail, we are human. But the important thing is the Church will not fall, Jesus said so himself, the powers of hell will not prevail against it. We must work together as brothers and sisters to perfect the Church which is the Body of Christ. That will only be done with patience and perseverance and lots and lots of love. Prayers for you and your family.
There is no church around that has sinless people. There are sinners in every church denomination. There are so many things that I love about the Catholic Church. God left us his sacraments to help us in our journey to heaven.

Augustine
Thanks for sharing your testimony/conversion to the Catholic faith, God bless! Need to take your testimony to ewtn with Marcus Grodi!
Will include you and your intentions in my daily Rosaries.God bless you and your family.
🙏🏻 May Our Mother Mary bring you closer to our beautiful faith.
Welcome Home, My Brother. Stay with Jesus thru Mama Mary and the Holy Heavenly Angels & Holy Saints. You made the outmost right decision. ✌️🙏♥️⛪😇👼
You have moved me forward in my destination of explorering the Catholic church.
Thank you. 👍👍👍
That’s great to hear!!!
God will answer your heart desires in His perfect time may the power of the Holy spirit work in your life in Jesus name
I am viewing this exactly 1 yr after you posted it. I am assuming you have made your Sacraments and are now a member of the Catholic Church. I stopped the video at your prayer request for your family and will continue to pray for your family daily. I welcome you to life in truth in the Trinity ❤️
I’m publishing a weekly RUclips video on episodes from the life of Don Bosco, entitled ST JOHN BOSCO by JOE ZAMMIT. In this series I’m narrating events and miracles from the splendid life of Don Bosco. St John Bosco used to perform a miracle almost every day, through the intercession of Mary Help of Christians. From the lives of saints we can learn how to love God more and draw closer to him. Thank you
You really pray for me daily? And yes I did get baptized, confirmed, and received first communion on Easter vigil of this year, 2021. Peace be with you.
beautiful mind, with strong self awareness and critical attitude - thanks for the witness
You are safe my brother keep encouraging others in this truth God bless you and your family as well thank you.
Welcome home. Offered prayers for the conversion of your wife and kids. Great video. Hope to see more. Tell us about your journey so far.
Fellow convert from Baptist. Best 23 years of my life so far! God bless you and welcome to THE Church of Jesus Christ of all the Saints.
24 year anniversary - still love being Catholic and so thankful!
I enjoy your humility and honesty, speaking TRUTH from your heart!!👍🙏 Welcome home, appreciate the gift and grace of the Real Presence, the Eucharist.
Welcome home from anothe convert. Praying for you and your family.
Hi Ben, great to hear your conversion story. I will include your prayer intention to my daily rosary.
Mormon to Catholic makes sense cuz there is an emphasis on authority. Thank you for your video!
Thank you so much for sharing your testimony! God bless you and welcome home!!
God bless you and your family!
BS Proud happy ex catholic right here. You can be a good person in ANY church. Or just be a good person despite anything you believe. With all the evil and corruption that was and is Catholicism, if it grows bigger, it wall fall bigger. Anyways, take care no matter what you believe. I can say anyone has right to believe what they want. Going after the beliefs. Not so much the person. Criticize without the part to demonize.
@@bobbq8380 no one said that being Catholic is the only way to be a good person. God gave free will to everyone, so yes people are completely free to believe what they want. I hope no one ever feels hated or looked down on by anyone in the Catholic Church. As far as the problems with in the church..they are heartbreaking and we need to help solve them. Humans are weak and we will all continue to fail, that’s just part of it. The Catholic Church is bigger than the people that fall.
@@bobbq8380 I sense a deep bitterness in you. Remember, that bitterness begets bitterness. I will pray for the Holy Spirit to guide you. BTW - Just being a "good" person will not get you into heaven.
This was a great testimony! God bless you brother.
Welcome brod to this One Holy Apostolic Church established by God in 33 AD
Thank you so much for this sincere testimony. United in prayers!😁🙏🙏🙏
Wow, you have an amazing and interesting testimony. Praying for you and your family. 🙏🙏🙏
Thank you so much for this testimony. May our Lord touch your wife’s and children’s heart to convert to Catholicism, in Jesus name, Amen.
Thanks for the prayer. I’ll take all the prayers I can get. I mean, as long as they’re good prayers. I don’t want people to pray to Moloch on my behalf. But you know what I mean. Good news: I got baptized this year! It’s official. I’m Catholic!!!
@@erinbird5918 Blessed be God for ever! I am very happy for your baptism to our Catholic faith. May our blessed Mother Mary pray for you every step of the way, for we have come to know, to serve and to love our Lord with all our heart, all out mind, and all our body, and to our neighbor as to ourselves.
Pray the Rosary daily for the conversion of your wife and children and invoke the help of your guardián ángel. May the Lord bless you always.
Beautiful testimony. Would like to get an update video on how things are going now with your Catholic faith and how your family is doing. I’m a recovering Catholic, and I love watching these kinds of videos. Thank you so much for sharing.
Me too but my family went eastern Orthodox. I was so decieved by Mormonism. We are happy now
There's only one true Church, and it's the Catholic Church founded by Jesus. Thank you for your testimony and welcome to the one true Church!
Welcome home! I am a convert too. Jesus bless you and your family 🙏
God bless you Ben! I hope you are doing well. I've been praying for you. May the Lord guide you and your family. 🙏
it is beautiful how Word of God guided You!
I love your testimony. Thank you 🙏. Thank you for being honest. God Bless you and your family 🙏
am so entertain to your video, hehehe so funny but deep true, hehehe thank you, God Bless!, i pray to your family to come home in catholic. Amen..
Thanks for sharing your story brother! Ave Maria
God bless you and your family, Ben. Keep and spread the faith!!! :)
God bless you and your family🙏. Hope your family is watching your testimony. Praying for them
Thanks for the comment and thanks for your prayers.
Prayers coming your way.
Welcome to the Catholic faith. God bless you.
Welcome to our Catholics faith. May God bless you and yours family.
I’ve read Rome sweet home and I loved it. I love Scott Hahn. And more importantly I love Jesus and the Catholic Church.
May God bless you and keep you
Welcome home brother to the true church holy catholic .
wow i never stayed too long for a YT video. you have a gift for story telling. nice conversion story
A gift for storytelling? Thank you!!! You’re very kind. Hey you know what’s cool? I might get excommunicated from the Mormon church soon. Idk. Anyway, I’m officially Catholic now. I got baptized Easter of this year.
Ben,
This is really good. Thank you so much for sharing. Welcome home!
@feebeedee Terrible book though. Reason and Theology dismantled it quite thoroughly.
Thank You for sharing your testimony.
You’re welcome. Thanks for saying thanks. I enjoyed making the video. Maybe I’ll make another one sometime. Maybe not. Peace be with you.
GREAT conversion story.
God bless you and your family.
Awesome, hope to get more video updates on your journey.
My prayers are for you and your family 🙏❤️
Read the reply i sent to Ben for resources to help him under stand better. Iam Daniel
"Host, dear to My Heart, for your sake I bless the earth." (from the Diary of Saint Faustina Kowalska; 1078)
God bless you and your family always brother for coming home to the one and only church founded by our Lord Jesus Christ.
WELCOME HOME BROTHER! GOD BLESS YOU.
Thanks for the kind comment. I totally agree with you. I love being Catholic!
@@erinbird5918 Me, too!
There is no church around that has sinless people. There are sinners in every church denomination.
There are so many things that I love about the Catholic Church. God left us his sacraments to help us in our journey to heaven.
Welcome home.
Thank you for sharing your testimonio, live true, live catholic.
And YES, praying for your wife and kids to convert.... although YOU are the perfect testimony 😉!
Thanks for the prayers. My wife and kids have not yet converted , but I pray they will soon. Thank you again for your prayers.
Thanks be to GOD !
Welcome Home our Dear Brother !
Welcome home! I was baptized and confirmed on June 29, 2019 from being raised a Jehovah's Witness. Best decision I've ever made! I was baptized at a FSSP parish in the traditional Latin rite. It was amazing!
I hope you having nice day! Your video is so good! Please continue share your process you can help people too.
Amazing, beautiful video. Thanks for sharing. God bless you. Welcome home
Thanks
In case no one has told you, we make the sign of cross with our right hand...
Dude I think the video playback is whacked. I’m pretty sure I did use my right hand even though it looks like I used my left hand. The image got flipped or something. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
@@erinbird5918 Some cameras are inverted. 👍
Welcome home brother. You are on the right road. I'm cradle Catholic but feed on testimonies like yours as it helps me keep walking the pilgrim way. Can I make a few recommendations: Rome Sweet Home by Dr. Scott Hahn( and anything he has written) , the conversion of Steve Rae on RUclips...these are material deep in church and historical truths that will fill your cup. Dr. Hahn also has his conversion story on RUclips. All the best to you. Keep walking. The Good Shepherd remains at watch over you and your extended family. Shalom.
Praise Be To Jesus 🙏🙏🙏. Welcome Home Bro from Singapore.
Thanks for your testimony.
Welcome to the family and will pray for you and your family to become closer to Jesus, Mary and the saints. Look at some books by Steve Ray, Steve Hahn, Bishop Barron, Saint Augustin, C.S. Lewis, God bless you and your family. It's hard to let go of your past but you'll have to do it to truly become one with Jesus....
I like testimonies from other church and finding the real church, thank you and God bless you and your journey to the catholic faith 🙏
My husband and I keep you and your family in our prayers. Please pray for my son and his family. He was so devout Catholic. We thought he was going to become a priest. And turned Mormon. To this day we can’t imagine who brain washed him. I wish he could see your video. I would send your video to him. But he is completely closed! Especially coming from his parents! I don’t know if you have seen the video of the amazing conversion of Father Calloway, God Bless you and your family. Welcome home.🙏
too bad devout catholics can't be devout Christians.
“Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah. For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my heavenly Father. And so I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my Church, and the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it. I will give you the keys to the Kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” This is the strong message that Jesus has already laid down become the foundation of Catholic Church
I chose Peter as my confirmation Saint!!!
God bless you and your family's ❤❤❤❤✝️🕊🤍🤍🤍🤍
What I’ve come to realize is that most people who join what ever Christian denominations don’t realize that Jesus Christ started his One True Church on day one of Pentecost which was through his Holy impowered and authorized apostles and their disciples who became their Successor’s to teach and feed the flock of his church which Jesus Christ promised that the gates of hell will never prevail against it and that Jesus will be with his Apostles even till the end of time.Thank you brother for your conversation story it’s marvelously excellent and honest yeah alleluia Deo Gratis Gloria In Excelsis Deo 🐑🕊️✨🌈
Sir, do you believe what Scripture says about God's church in both 1 Tim 3:15 and John 14:15 is still necessary for today?
Would love an update on your story! Praying for you and your family in the truth of the Catholic Church, conversion takes time be gentle with yourself and your family.
there is no Truth in catholicism, it's antichrist -- Bible proves it clearly.
