Another magic lesson! Thanks heaps )) My "quest" to have a short sentence/phrase for EVERY pronoun ... personal, possessive etc in EVERY case and EVERY gender (plus plural) so that I auomatically use the correct form for the correct situation, was/is difficult. Actually after starting it, I remember trying once before - this time, I'm about 1/2 way through. But this lesson has once again highlighted the complexity of WHICH word to use with what, to make my phrases/sentences make sense. Your calm, encouraging, informative style is excellent. Congratulations on your 5000 subscribers. The next goal (and very achievable for someone with such teaching talent) 50,000 ))))))
Excellent video !!! I totally agree with you. There is no magic but hard work, motivation, discipline and tenacity. It's impossible to speak Russian fluently if we don't study grammar. This is not very popular but It is true. In January 2023 , fortunately, I got a Russian grammar book, a good dictionary and a book of verbs. Now I can write sentences like: Я вижу человека, который читает книгу. Я вижу человека, читающего книгу. It's not magic, it's grammar and other things. THANKS LINA !!!
She’s right! Russian language has rules. Can’t NOT learn them. My second favorite teacher taught me to notice the patterns. For example, the rhyming or the consistency of the rules, like past tense, feminine, masculine. Then the brain naturally pieces it together. Do NOT memorize grammar charts. Observe them. Reference them, but don’t play the memory game. It’s just not how our brain acquires language. Instead, observe and notice patterns.
Thank you Lina for posting such an informative video! You made it very clear how to properly learn the Russian language. I've been trying to learn this beautiful language for 3 years but I'm still at the beginner level because I took long breaks, mostly due to low motivation :(. However, I just picked up the language again two or three months ago and I have improved my vocabulary and grammar (just a little though). But with this video, you have motivated me even more to study Russian as now I can see it has some things in common with my native language, Spanish. Once again, thank you so much for sharing this information with us who want to acquire the language.
Thanks for another really good lesson, Lina. Your videos are always very good. I agree with everything you say about learning Russian grammar. This is not an easy task, but I am persevering! Incidentally, I like your video production. Nice editing and informative on-screen graphics. Also, your audio is very good. That microphone is working well for you! 👍
Very nice video. You are quite right. But to me, a Swedish guy, I think that Russians speak back wards. If they speak in the same word order as Swedish it would be much easier to understand and learn. When I speak Russian in my Swedish word order I think they think I speak back wards. But they say "Ok, we can say it in that way as well". One teacher said "Very well, but you speak in Swedish word order".
Aaah I see what you mean. Unfortunately I’m not familiar with Swedish word order but I believe it’s something really different from Russian. In this case I can advise you to read more in Russian in order to get used to our sentences and constructions 😊
I don't think being told to learn gender, grammar and cases really count as "tips", however the later items seem like they'll be pretty helpful. I'm going to check out her impersonal sentences video to see how she handels them.
Unfortunately sometimes students don’t understand the importance of learning grammar, that’s why I decided to point this out in this video 😊 but of course it’s not a “tip”, it’s just basis Thank you!
@@LinasLessons Privet! (I'm not going to attempt Zdraz... just yet). I watched SEVERAL of your other videos last night and found them to be EXTREMELY helpful. I think you explain concepts very well, though I do wish you would go a little slower when reviewing your example sentences.
I started learning russian as beginner..viewing your channel ,which is helpful for us...
I’m happy to hear that!
