oh also: I know it costs extra wood, but i totally recommend putting a chest in the cave where the mines entrance is. Because Villagers never enter that cave so it is save to leave chests there (at least in 1.5) with that chest you can empty your inventory before entering the mines. super great with a small inventory. I usually leave every 5 levels to empty my inventory (playing on mobile so still in 1.5)

I know this may not be helpful for a bit, but I just discovered this myself--you don't have to chop down the old fence with an axe first!! You can just place the new fence right on top! I was so excited lol... Such an energy and time saver 😅
11:22 that iron is from the dust sprites destroying the iron node. Also nice let's play, am enjoying watching it :)
You sadly cannot get any hearts with the Dwarf if you dont speak dwarvish, you can still give him the gift though. And if you wanna learn to speak dwarvish, hoe up some dirt in the lower mines levels and you will find some stuff to help you learn.

If you want a better weapon for the mines, go up to the levels where the bugs are and do the adventure's guild goal there, the reward is good for mid cave. :)
Really enjoy this playthrough, been binging the episodes the last few days.
If you right click with a club weapon, like the femour it'll do a power attack

You can use your scythe to harvest crops quicker
The scythe only works to harvest crops if you get the end game scythe or use animation canceling

In the Adventurer guild (I think that's what it's called), the man in the rocking chair gives rewards when you kill enough monsters (I was about to buy a new sword, but decided to check out, and he gave me a weapon that's more efficient than the ones in the shop!)
Can't wait to see how you'll decorate the little island with Grandpa's shrine !
Ah! Also for the "everything chest", Robin sells recipe for a bigger chest (double the capacity of a normal one), I found it useful to expend storage without having too many chest

I love the series, but please... your cows need grass, and planting corn now will give you at least one extra harvest in the fall to help ensure you get your 5 gold star corn.
I give them grass eventually, I know it’s kinda frustrating to watch but this series is prerecorded and I do add grass at some point lol

SQUID can only be caught in WINTER
These episode are pre recorded, as of right now I have recorded half of year 2 already. So I don’t see the comments until much later after many episode have already been recorded.
