If pedal strikes continue to be an issue ... some shorter cranks will help a lot. I'm using 165s on the SB140

I put my Ohlins back on for awhile and ended up going back to my Vivid, just like the feel more and it doesn’t feel much different, I also found the coil blows through the travel more often.

Good stuff, great show and tell with the time lapse of the schrader valve leaking. I just put an Ohlins coil shock on my levo I don't think I'll ever go back to air.

Coil shocks are the best! It was the best upgrade to my Stumpy too date 👌

Omg, that is such an expensive rear shock, it is literally double the price of mine fully adjustable racing nitron rear shock for mine race bike honda nc35, which is like three times the size and more adjustable than this toy shock. Bicycle stuff are so expensive it does not make any logical sense yet we are gladly paying those prices. crazy.

I have a Storia V3 on my Bronson V4, great shock, good for local trails and great for bike park, i dont even worry about what is happening on the rear any more, took some time to get the correct rebound, and i found that would change by one click faster for bike park stuff. i am running the harder spring all the time for my weight, and i also put a roller bearing on the rear of the shock, i did find this made a slight difference with rebound.

@@mtbmonk7076 No i am fine with the bottoming out, i had a bit of a strange story with mine, when it was ordered the shop did not have the correct springs in stock for my weight, which should have been 350 and 375. so they sent the one below and one above, as 325 and 400.
i was having bottom out issues on the lighter spring, but could control just with some HSC, then i tried the stiffer coil over my weight, this solved the bottom out issue, but i was finding it unbalanced and sometimes on some rocky drops, i felt being pushed forward, but it was subtle.
eventually the shop got a stock of the correct coil and decided that the 375 should be fine for me, so i kept the 400, just incase i ever sell it, more people heaver then me then lighter.
Any way the 375 was perfect, i dont get pushed forward any more, its super balanced, and the LSC and HSC are within a good range for me to tweek. the only thing that i am getting changed during the next service if the rebound as i have it set at either 0 or 1, and it should really be in the middle of the range.

      what is your weight ?

For the bearings check out Real World Cycling for their needle bearing replacement. Much tidier and better performing than the typical outboard bearing kit.

Just a thought on what you said about your fork maybe leaking - your new coil is more supportive than the leaky air shock, thus keeping you higher on the bike in the rear. your body weight might now be more forward biased. Forward bias will put more weight on the fork, causing it to dive in the travel faster than before. Re-check your sag on the fork, you might need to add more air. Or add tokens, which will help keep the fork from diving and will help keep proper geometry. (Assuming you haven’t solved your issue already)

Hi Buddy. What’s the specs of that EXT. I want that to install on my Bronson too.

Ext does the modifications, so I don’t know the exact specs aside from 210x55 for v3 Bronson
I strongly recommend getting needle bearings otherwise the stiction is horrible

Great video! Would a coil be more beneficial for a long-travel shock or short-travel?
Don't be so hard on yourself about being "overweight." MTB isn't road cycling. Everybody should find their own balance of fun, food, and happiness, rather than comparing themself to anachronistic pre-internet averages.

I’m new to coils so I’m not sure. I’m trying to lose weight so it’s easier to pedal up hill :)
