Ha! One of the first songs I remember. 6 at the time.. Driving home from the beach, we ran into a traffic jam - dad opens the windows and cranks the volume. My 4yo brother and I felt so cool.
little know boring fact, a group of lads from tipton, west mids heard this in some club in amsterdam around 1992, when they got home they went to watch west brom play, when west brom scored the lads who had been to the dam decided to jump up and down shouting "poing poing" , the p got mistaken for a "b" by the rest of the crowd, who copied and ever since WBA fans have gone "boing boing" after scoring a goal (which isnt very often) .this tune is the reason behind "boing boing"
Makes me think back on an interview with these guys over the radio. This track, they were just playing around with some beats and sounds. And the rest is history! Haha
this was played in the underground raves and warehouse parties in the mid-south region of USA in the mid-90's. At the time, it was faster and harder than most records out. BUT RECALL, that when DJs played a party, they often sped up records! So just cos this is fast out the gate, doesn't mean that heads were not hearing and dancing to music this same speed before this record came out. DJs "pitched up" their records +4 or +6 all the time, when playing out live at a party
I counted the amount of 'Poings', it were 513 poings the hole song. If you count the characters needed to write 513 times 'Poing' including the spaces between the Poing. Was 3078 in total. /bored
Borred you SERIOUS?😂😂so sweet go check the hardcore house scene called Gabber try living like we did for 3 monts If you still think than that birth fase of our so beloved Rotterdam GABBERHOUSE/HARDCORE (CALLED SO BY THE MASSES IN MOST MODERN MUSIC SCENE'Z) I WILL GET YOU A FLIGHT TO HOLLAND AND WE WILL HAVE A MONTH LONG OF CHEMICAL LOVE/HAPPINESS DEMPEND BIJ OUR FAMOUS INDOOR SKUNK WITH A RE AJUSTMENT LONG WEEKEND OF TUNE IN TURN ON AND DROP OUT ON MUSHROOMS & 5MAO DMT FROM FROG BACK dont be scarred i am doing for very close to 44
I brought this on CD in 1992 when i heard Steve Wright play it on BBC Radio 1. I still have it, if you want to fuck your neighbours heads up this is the track to play along with "jump jump a little higher". It will drive them to despair and they never will annoy you again with their music playing late a night. It worked for me.
I remember this tune from '92 and I absolutely loved it when it got played but not many DJ's seemed to pump it out for some reason which was a shame because it bounced the place down. Glad I found this today - 30 year old tune and still is hard as ever.
I mixed this mental 90se classic with Whigfield Saturday Night when messing around with my old deck. First heard this in Hengelo OV , used to be based next door Germany with British Army.
damn those were the days innit? poing poing poing poing, boom boom boom boom. clap clap clap clap, poing poing poing poing, its like head shoulders knees and toes knees and toes lol awesome memories! try listening to it on E, open your mind and maybe u'll get it some day if ur lucky
+20kilovolt Dutch creativity + humor and this is what you get. Ofcourse it's simple. But not if you're not the one that thought of it in the first place...
listen up yall haterz. this was one of the first house hits in Holland. Holland is the homeplace of house and techno. DJ jean, Dj tiesto etc. Best house comes from Holland. And Im Turkish yeah!
Okay, so your opinion is based on an article that once appeared in a magazine, which name you can't remember without the mentioned article naming the person(s) who did make the music... I've met Tijs on several occasions and I can tell you: He is a top notch producer... technically brilliant and almost unprecedented I don't think he is a great musician though, preferring the road to fame after Innercity 1999 Your musical knowledge shows by adding "Spice Girls live" to your list of favourites...
Came for the music, stayed for the visuals!
I encountered this in '92, a trip to Holland with the Scouts... we all loved it. What on earth were we thinking?!
9 years for 1 like!? Tough crowd 🤔😆

Incredible that this got to the top of the charts. The 90s were revolutionary in their own way
not at all tribal simplistic gotto love it !!old now love it more !!
There's a lot more more going on here within drum track, than in most 4/4 dance tunes. That's why it got successful.
Makes me think back on an interview with these guys over the radio. This track, they were just playing around with some beats and sounds. And the rest is history! Haha
I've been looking for this for months. I had the cassette single.
hahahahahahaah
Poor you. 😁
Haven't heard this in 20 years. Awesome!

+Ashley Pomeroy He's on Radio 2 nowaday's , still has funny character-appearences in his show.

I remember this tune from '92 and I absolutely loved it when it got played but not many DJ's seemed to pump it out for some reason which was a shame because it bounced the place down. Glad I found this today - 30 year old tune and still is hard as ever.
I loved this song, my Mum hated it. I played it all the time :0>
hahahaha ;) it's awesome!!
Haha! I did the same!
Easily the greatest song of all time
poing... poing... poing
Poing Poing Poing Poing Poing.
takes me back awesome track at the time detroit/belgian techno used to play it at frequency oblivion parties and the portland quarry partys big love
FREQUENCY OBLIVION RADIO Belgian techno? Wow.
Geniaal nummer!!!
❤❤❤❤❤
It's been a long time and now I have found it just love it ❤❤❤
That poing sound....this will be my funeral song
remembered we drove in car with 4 12" subwoofers to this sound.... poingpoingpoing poing !!! brings back memories
Bought the cd 1993, there’s 4 different versions on it . Come on you Baggies!!!
Love it. Proper music with proper musicians - not like all that dross we have to put with these days!!!!
When the song went "poing poing poing poing poing" I really felt that
God I love the part with the *Poing!* in it. That is awesome!!!
Who is here in 2024?
Been looking for this for years! I thought it was Rotterdam Inc!
Nope Rotterdam Termination Source ;)
who is Rotterdam INC? :P
I love this song. It's just so mental. Early 90's had some insane songs. This and French Kiss by Lil Louis being the standouts for me.
Winx-Don't laugh. The outhere bros-FU in the ass
I mixed this mental 90se classic with Whigfield Saturday Night when messing around with my old deck. First heard this in Hengelo OV , used to be based next door Germany with British Army.
Finaly I found this, thanks!
I remember as a kid I counted the amount of Poing's with a calculator, by pressing on + everytime.
lmao ahaha. do u remember how many poings?
@@newrth7241 i remember something like a few hundred +12 or +21 hahha
TIMELESS TUUNE!!!...definitely very original!
This song is still epic in 2019
i love this so much 😍

Abstructure Haha, minimal techno is older than hardcore, but I love both! Although I was born in 1998... :(
oh no you've only started living ;O
The video was also amazing
Can't sleep anymore!
ONE OF THE BEST OR MABY THE BEST FROM MY EARLY 90s AND STILL MORE MODERNE THEN MOST NEW CRAP!!! MASTERPEACSE !!
Well, this song is awesome! :O
2024 🙌🏼👀
I had this single on a tape in 1994 😂
One of the best dj tools still today
always so dope for mixing
This is a complete banger!
Poing! Poing! Poing! Poing! Poing! Poing! Poing! Poing!
En nogsteeds luisteren we dit nummer 😂🎉🎉❤
the Video Looks like made with an Amiga Computer and Demomaker lol
Poing sample comes from Edelweiss - Bring me edelweiss (schnapps bonus mix)

Geweldig nummer, slaat helemaal nergens op.
CLASSIC! some people say it was the original gabba. some people say there was gabba that predate this.
Late 1992, this was in The Top 40.
damn those were the days innit? poing poing poing poing, boom boom boom boom. clap clap clap clap, poing poing poing poing, its like head shoulders knees and toes knees and toes lol awesome memories! try listening to it on E, open your mind and maybe u'll get it some day if ur lucky
I remember very well that there are a lot of radio DJ's here were against this song because it would be too simple to make.
+20kilovolt Dutch creativity + humor and this is what you get. Ofcourse it's simple. But not if you're not the one that thought of it in the first place...
Kinda stupid thing since most Techno music back then wasn't that complex either.
@shakawbafc _ that is sublime....never knew that and that will make a brilliant general knowledge quiz for one of my mates. Cheers for the share.
ive got this on cd and i still think this is one of the best ol skool choons
Okay.. waar heb ik zojuist naar geluisterd 😨
I showed this to my little brother and now he's dancing on the floor
I remember watching this on "Hitlist UK" back in the day and hating it. Compared to what they're bringing now, this is actually not half bad.
Who did inspire this masterpiece...?
Probably the 'poing' sound on the synthesizer...?
greetzz from Poland to Holland :)
how much is this on itunes, or shall i just use youtube downloader :P
This is a Paul Elstak production!
Poing is located eastside from munich

This track takes me back to my mis-spent youth
