I wish they would announce on the news that it's illegal to feed these wild eagles, and everything stated in LH's commentary, plus trespassing. I am very concerned seeing domestic rat's being brought in. Not good. 😡
We have these laws in place for a good reason. We almost lost our eagles in the early 60s due to DDT. Yes they are making a strong comeback but they need to be able to survive without interference from some know it all idiot. OBEY THE LAW EVEN IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT.
It sounds like people assume these rats were left there for M to find? It sounds likely. I just did not know. I''m so happy when E22 gets to eat. But it seems to me that E21 is bigger ( I know he's a few days older) but his darker feathers are really growing in and E22 seems way behind. I hope it just normal. I appreciate all you do Lady Hawk! I know the experts (CROW) and everyone else there is doing exactly what needs to be done. I pray for this little family everyday
@@kathleenhunter4331 Even if the crop is a little bulge, there is food in there, they don't always have to have huge bulging crops to be fed, when these two become Juveniles and fledge on their own, they will probably have to go days without a single bite of anything, until they steal it or pick up road kill out of the street. They will not starve if they are not fed every 2 hours!
The white rats were clearly left there by a person. How many white rats do you see running around in Florida, or anywhere for that matter? Whoever it is needs to stop, it’s illegal and potentially very harmful to the eagles. It bothers me too when I see little E22 hunched over in a submissive posture while he watches E21 stuff his face. I know it’s normal but I still find it hard to watch.

People are doing this out of kindness and concern but they need to understand their actions will have a negative impact on the birds. Hopefully they will read the commentary box and learn
It's aad about the mother disappearing, and yes some nests fail, like a Barn Owl nest I saw (Israel), but some nests perserve. There's a whole video with a British guy (Russel?) showing a male Kestrel feeding it's much bigger group of babies when the mother disappeared. There was also a pigeon nest (Israel) where the father disappeared, and the mother was still able to feed her hatcling and raised him (Even more, a second pigeon moved in and helped a little in the end.). Sounds like the father's doing well (The Barn owl nest I saw, in Israel had both of the parents leave and their two hatchings starved, that was due to them being new, this eagle is not isn't it?), believe it or not, animals can endure and adapt to their enviroment without humans.
M15 didn’t hunt the rats, they were already dead and left near the nest by someone who thinks they know better than the actual scientists who are ornithologists. Feeding wild raptors is illegal in the US for many reasons, the people leaving food are only endangering the eagles. Also, white rats don’t exist in the wild, except for an occasional rare albino rat that arises through genetic mutation.
22 didn’t get any 😢 those were feeder rats by the way used to feed snakes you can buy them frozen and thaw them out for feedings ( I owned a ball python) or buy live ones for picky eaters
This is disheartening. People don’t realize they are messing with nature and it’s going to attract other eagles who see this behavior which increases the chances that M15 might see this as weird or strange behavior. He doesn’t need extra intruder eagles around that are hungry circling waiting for more rats right above the nest tree. If M15 sees this as super aggressive behavior, he may very well abandon the eaglets and the nest altogether as “an executive decision” weighing if the presence of unwanted consequences of human interaction outweighs his instinct to protect and raise these eaglets by himself. When M15 needs to hunt, does he need other eagles waiting by the nest tree for more white rats? NO! Please let nature take its course. 🤦🏻♂️ I missed this morning feed. Thanks LH!
White!! 😳😡Hopefully The Pritchetts can install a cam somewhere on the property( not nest area) and record these jerks doing this..Do the crime, you're gonna do the time & pay a hefty fine...Stop and use common sense, not nonsense.Caring is one thing, but potentialy harming this eagle family is criminal 😡 TY Lady Hawk💖/ DPRE❤/ Pritchett Family❤/SWFEC❤

ilver Maine Coons E22 always sneaks back around & will go up & under to steal a bite. He’s quicker than her too. She usually gives up & goes & lies down with her full little crop. 😁
Oh, fabulous! Now, there are people who are leaving food? Folks, M15 HAS GOT THIS! DO NOT HELP!! This is highly illegal, and you will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law! What's next? Are Pritchett's going to need surveillance at the foot of nest & surrounding areas now, too??!! Enough already!!!🤨
Umm, no. Do you ever see white rats outside a pet store or a laboratory? Rats in the wild are all brown or black. Someone left two dead rats at the base of the tree thinking they’re helping. People need to butt out and let M15 take care of his family.
E22 did eat like today just because it did not eat in this video dose not mean it hadn't ate. It eat early during the day. watch another Lady hawk video that had privet feeding for E22

I totally understand people are worried and want to help but you can't feed or leave feed for wildlife it's a crime and jail time if you get caught. Let M15 do his duties as a father and provider. Please don't be leaving food it's dangerous
Honestly, it's better that M15 brings in his huge fish catches anyway... because then both E's get to eat. That's a much more substantial meal. While M is expending time and energy with a tiny rat, he could be out catching a huge fish for both eaglets. If this continutes I'm concerned it could be detrimental to E22. They're doing fine anyway, don't need any human interference. I will say, this is the problem with getting news media attention, because then everyone assumes the eagles are starving without even watching the livestream. While these people may have good intentions, placing food for them is very dangerous. I've been so overjoyed to see E22 overcome adversity, and I definitely do not want his success diminish. Please, whoever you are, please stop doing this.
I believe people still feeding M15 and the eaglets. They putting the food where he can find it. He had 7 fishes the other day now (white) rats. Hopefully, they will allow him to hunt on his own.
OMG what was this person or person's thinking by doing this. M15 has got this and needs no assistance by humans. This is a wild nest and needs to remain a wild nest. There is ample food sources for M15 to hunt at. Please just sit back and watch and learn just as we learned when the nest was knocked down and H and M rebuilt the nest. And it came together as it always does. Trust the Eagles please they have been doing this for a very long time.
Another year of nestwatching, the same post from me: two tiny rats COUDN'T do any good for an eagle family, but can do much harm for the eagles, nest and the whole ecosystem, wich is already interfered by humans. There are rules, and these were made with reason. Why arethere always somebody who believes they are smarter than others, than eagles and the nature itself? Hope atleast these rats are not poisoned "in mercy" or weren't treated with diclofenac or smt
well, my own heart is acing about these dear eaglets and I hope CROW or other competent and legal side would help them if there would be real need, but come on
there are a couple of news channels that have put Harriet's disappearance on their RUclips channel and the people who comment on them I've never watched the nest there are some on there that say the eaglets are going to starve 0 so yeah some idiot probably threw them white wild rats over the fence
I know FL has a terrible problem with "non-native" Pythons...is it possible, since a neighborhood is so close, that these "rats" were escaped pets too?
UMMM just so you people that are trying to feed M15 and the Eaglets...your doing more harm... M15 can take care of the babies on his own...also it's illegal to mess with Eagles including feeding them...TRUST M15 AND LEAVE THEM ALONE...
Not every day is like today. They also grow up fast and need more food for a day. There will a time when E22 has to step up and fight for survival, mark my word..

Wow this is good to know. TY LH. Gosh I had suggested a big tub of water with fish in it near the tree. And now know this is an absolute no no! I was thinking probably much like who ever did this that helping M in this situation would make it easier on him. But I see how that would be troubling. I always worry about M getting road kill. Traffic is so awful there. God keep our eagles safe. 🦅🦅🦅😎❤️🥰👍
I hope the Pritchetts are aware of this and will contact local authorities. The same media outlets that have reported Harriet missing should also inform their readers that they should leave the eagles alone and let nature take its course, which so far has been providing all the food they need.
👍👍
The media is causing an uneeded frenzy. God made these animals with strong survival instincts.
Hi Vesper yes they have been made aware of this activity and any other attempts to feed the eagles. That is a good idea to have the media address this as well.
AMEN
@@ladyhawk Hi Lady Hawk. As a resident of Florida, I called the Wildlife Alert Hotline this morning and filed a report. The operator took all the information down and said she would pass it on. I'm hoping they'll call me back in order to provide more information. I hope the FWC will look into this and take whatever action is needed to protect our Eagle family. Thank you for always keeping us informed.
Thank you Lady Hawk M15 is doing an Amazing job I hope others don’t make things more difficult for him by attracting more competition for food to the immediate area; we must support him in spirit…So far we are very blessed that this nest is OK without Harriet…XxJennifer
Thus is very worrisome. Fish & Game should set up a sting and catch these illegal feeders⛑️🦺🚨
E22 굶을때마다 마음이 아프다🥺
看到e22沒吃我的心也很痛😥,M15很辛苦。謝謝影片分享❤️

I wish they would announce on the news that it's illegal to feed these wild eagles, and everything stated in LH's commentary, plus trespassing. I am very concerned seeing domestic rat's being brought in. Not good. 😡
Recent news clips I saw did announce that.
What a good dad!Very proud of him taking care of his family!
We have these laws in place for a good reason. We almost lost our eagles in the early 60s due to DDT. Yes they are making a strong comeback but they need to be able to survive without interference from some know it all idiot. OBEY THE LAW EVEN IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT.
YES !!! 👍👍💯
Absolutely! Too bad they can't put up a security camera and bring charges against those who simply can't obey the law. It's infuriating.
there's already 2 cameras and local police patrols
It sounds like people assume these rats were left there for M to find? It sounds likely. I just did not know. I''m so happy when E22 gets to eat. But it seems to me that E21 is bigger ( I know he's a few days older) but his darker feathers are really growing in and E22 seems way behind. I hope it just normal. I appreciate all you do Lady Hawk! I know the experts (CROW) and everyone else there is doing exactly what needs to be done. I pray for this little family everyday
E22 has been eating.
@Quintessons_1290 Yes.....that does not mean he is getting enough. But I know he is being monitored.
There goes the humans again !! If they only minded their own business and leave M15 to take care of the eaglets. He’s more than capable. He’s doing a fantastic job with the fish he brings. People stay away even if you mean well. Another day without Harriet. I’ll never lose hope. Praying Lady Hawk
Glad you posted this bc it shows that if someone does think theyre 'helping', the one we all are concerned with getting enough food, e22, got none of it. Hopefully ppl just stay out of this. M is bringing tons of food on his own, and he gets it quickly. God bless this nest 🙏
E22 did have plenty of food today
@@CoffeePrincess1290 Yes he sure did! It was great to see, it was an even more wonderful meal day today! The sib dynamic looked better too during the food times. Great day today. What a strong nest it is, increasingly so as the days go on. Many prayers by prob hundreds of ppl, or more--answered
He is super Dad Eagle.
Hmm... E19 was a very strong eagle, but he never stopped E20 from getting his share.
Well 19 had both parents.
But they had two parents. Sibling rivalry wasn't so bad when Harriet and M15 were able to feed their eaglets.
@@sharonw4325 Correct. One parent changes the game.
Hope M15 can keep up with feeding the growing Es and protect them. Still hoping Harrier is O K and will return home, praying for them all!

Speaking of cams..Do you know what happened to Cam 3 (pond Cam) it's not working, or, It says it not working ??
It looks like it's facing a wall or structure...🤔
Hopefully this will not continue - M is doing just fine!! I briefly stopped by Christian's live stream
kinda late but couldn't stay.......it looked like he had quite a few guests. Were you there? If so,
sorry I missed you.🤗Thanks for the video & for letting us know people are dropping food--sad
to hear that folks are trespassing, & not adhering to the laws & requests not to do this. 😥 We
should be praying 🙏 that our precious Harriet is still alive & can be found, and for the eaglets
& M to continue on their journey without pause & not being defiant & delivering rats! I'm sad, but
rejoicing at how well things are going---prayer & positive thoughts are what's needed, not a couple
of rats!! Hugs LH 🤗
M15 está demostrando ser el mejor papá que unos bebés pueden tener, mi dulce Harriet si puede verlo estará muy orgullosa de él. Pero por favor me gustaría saber si han encontrado o han visto a Harriet, mi corazón sigue llorando por élla.
Someone must've bought them from a pet store :-/
They might be sold as feeder rats for pet snakes. That would hopefully mean they are clean food anyway.
@@gungho1284 True enough!
People are doing this out of kindness and concern but they need to understand their actions will have a negative impact on the birds. Hopefully they will read the commentary box and learn
They should post a sign.
They have signs...
😂 2 white rats. M is such a Hunter. Those eagle eyes don’t miss any opportunity for food.
Every time they bring rats to the nest it makes me nervous.
people dont listen.. do not feed them. m15 is doing great on his own getting food for e's and himself.
Yummy 😋
22 didn’t get any 😢 those were feeder rats by the way used to feed snakes you can buy them frozen and thaw them out for feedings ( I owned a ball python) or buy live ones for picky eaters
E22 was able to get several fish feedings today...🙏😊
E22 did have a whole 3 fish today
💖
The ‘Fish and wildlife’ are our eagle protectors and they know what’s best for them.
Again, the Oscar goes to🏆💐🦅 M15.
I missed this morning feed. Thanks LH!
Aww lol got non but so smart to stay down until it’s big enough
I agree about the cameras! Great idea, I hope they can do it, since we cannot trust folks not to do the wrong thing and break the law.
I'm not saying anything cause I'm so distraught. I LOVE Harriet and M15. Praying for her return. 🦅❤️🦅
White rats? M15 is great hunter on his own. Been doing fine for years. E22 is showing signs of following in his tallon prints.
E22 is really crafty
@@MN8 Crafty? What are you guys talking about? E21 is the older dominant eaglet, 22 is the smaller younger one. What behavior of his appears “crafty” to you? I’m not trying to be argumentative, I’m really just curious.
ilver Maine Coons
E22 always sneaks back around & will go up & under to steal a bite. He’s quicker than her too. She usually gives up & goes & lies down with her full little crop. 😁
Lady Hawk, did someone see people put the mice there? I don’t get how this could have happened and gone unnoticed by those there much of the time.
Hi Amy D I am not sure but rest assured that they are keeping a close eye out for any more illegal activity at the nest.
I sure hope those mice were alive when M caught them!
He didn't catch them, it's almost a certainty someone put those on the ground near the nest, which is illegal. That needs to stop, like yesterday.
Umm, no. Do you ever see white rats outside a pet store or a laboratory? Rats in the wild are all brown or black. Someone left two dead rats at the base of the tree thinking they’re helping. People need to butt out and let M15 take care of his family.
Prayers
I get mad everytime E22 gets no food! I'm over here fuming!
E22 did eat like today just because it did not eat in this video dose not mean it hadn't ate. It eat early during the day. watch another Lady hawk video that had privet feeding for E22

I'm not sure what happened to Harriet but I hope she is ok.
M15 is such an amazing dad I'm so thankful for him taking such good care of the E's ❤️
I read that very same news article. It is dangerous, however well-intentioned, for humans to try to intervene.
I think the people could leave all comments that they feel. It doesn't mean they don't understand animals nature. Just discussing that's it! I don't mind and I like to read them.
Wow.. Its something you dont see everyday that father take care of 2 kids on his own.
My heart is broken 💔 😢 love my royal family big time, but my queen is still missing 💔 😢 I'm very upset 😡 who ever was trespassing get caught and get arrested M15 is very capable of finding the food by himself God be with M15 the babies and Harriet my queen please come home.
I totally understand people are worried and want to help but you can't feed or leave feed for wildlife it's a crime and jail time if you get caught. Let M15 do his duties as a father and provider. Please don't be leaving food it's dangerous
This is all the more reason to NEVER use rat poisons - Under any circumstances! Fortunately, these rats were not poisoned.
I think that should Aresset the first person that puts out any kind of food. They are doing more harm then good...
😍😍😍😍😍
I hope they are on cam. Ugh.
Sad how people sometimes think they're helping wildlife when they're actually hurting them
OMG!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DON'T LEAVE FOOD FOR M15!!
Calm down..
The publicity on the news of Harriet missing has backfired. Now people who are clueless are wanting to help. 😩
Please, whoever you are, please stop doing this.
you mean E21 it was not E22 that ate the rats it was E21 that eat both rats. E22 did eat it only ate the fishes today.
Is that pond the eagles fish in right near the nest, stocked? Or was it?
were the rats dead if so who knows what they died from this is not helpful for the eagle family prayers for m15 and eaglets stay safe
is the camera that show the nest from the side not working?
i don't like this high above, straight down view.
People should be arrested whoever did this!! It’s Iloge all and unsafe !! Ya don’t know what rats have it’s not wild rats !!
Hope atleast these rats are not poisoned "in mercy" or weren't treated with diclofenac or smt
well, my own heart is acing about these dear eaglets and I hope CROW or other competent and legal side would help them if there would be real need, but come on
Is there a sign stating the rules so no one can state afterwards they were unaware of those rules?
ignorantia legis neminem excusat (Ignorance of the law excuses no one.)
@@connieflanery1568 Agreed 100%
there are a couple of news channels that have put Harriet's disappearance on their RUclips channel
and the people who comment on them I've never watched the nest there are some on there that say the eaglets are going to starve
0 so yeah some idiot probably threw them white wild rats over the fence
Does E22 get any food today??? 😐
Yes, several private fish 🐟 feeding! Mostly uninterrupted.😋
Yes, he ate plenty of fish today on 4 different occasions.
Yes plenty actually
Oh dear, seems humans can screw up most anything.
The pet rats are no longer wanted and are dumped.
I know FL has a terrible problem with "non-native" Pythons...is it possible, since a neighborhood is so close, that these "rats" were escaped pets too?
