I like how it isnt a monster that ends up stopping this expedition, but rather the rover running out of juice. Love this more realistic take on the backrooms and their entities. Nothing hits with disappointment than anticipation that gets cut short.
@@frankmarano1118 I was thinking that too because the battery went to low immediately, but there could have been a cut in there. Finally someone was clever enough to bring a vehicle at least. Mostly overlooked inside the KanePixels lore, they already (halfway?) know whats in there so i wondered, why don't they bringt a vehicle, like a scooter, or a bike even. Obviously weapons etc. I also still really wondered when they enter the portal and go back immediately. What will happen? Is it already too late?
I think that technology wasn't there yet. Radio signal would get really weak after the first couple turns and a long cable would make it basically impossible for the vehicle to move correctly. Of course, driving around aimlessly is possible, or making an AI of some sorts that drives back on its own with the camera, but other than that I don't think it's that possible to do. Especially since in Kane Pixels lore the company seems to really hush the backrooms out as they know how much of a mess they have created, and so big governments are not informed and can't "help" explore them.
People clamining that such technology wasn't viable in the 90s... Guys I have to remind you that NASA successfully deployed the Sojourner rover to nothing less than Mars in 1997
Just a little critique to take this to the next level: Surface Imperfections is what makes realism. The wheels having lots of little scratches, a bit of dust, a couple of marks etc. would make them look very much real. I think that this is not (too) hard to do in Blender, but I have little experience with it. You should look up a tutorial for "Normal maps". Love how you do this, keep on doing it :)

When a billion or so rooms are erected inside a gravity well like that on Earth, coupled with a like number of intelligent & observing human minds, eventually a Backrooms-like phenomenon will start happening. It's something like a reflection of space through a gravity lens, like a pair of mirrors facing each other. The spaces you find yourself in will look like walls and ceilings and light fixtures, but none of that is actually "there" - you're only seeing (observing) that through the lens of gravity like a kind of gravitational phospholipid bilayer, one hydrophobic one hydrophilic. I think my favorite aspect among the newer wave of backroom videos is the exploration and study of the phenomenon. Whereas in the beginning it was focused on the horror of getting lost in and endless monster filled maze, much like in real life as more people find out about it, the backrooms would be subject to human curiosity like any other place on earth like the deep sea or caves. In time the backrooms while still dangerous will be just another mundane scientific field taught in classrooms or used for your average thrill seeker that's become bored of skydiving.
It would change the way we see reality and have drastic implications. Therefore like the scp foundation, it would be kept highly classified information and not revealed to the public or any average Joe. So not like skydiving, nor taught in classes lol.
