That rack is not a knock-off - As mentioned, a Pelago. Quality manufacturer from Helsinki - I love mine. They sell decent bits of kit and complete bikes!

No Charge Spoon - saddle costs more than the bike 😀

Haha, it's a reference to Craig putting Charge Spoon saddles on all his bikes. So was not meant seriously 😉

@@bottoncino_bicycles LOL - if I could I would as well Spoon saddles work well for me - just.a bit pricey in the EU compared to the UK.

I don't understand why you cleaned the frame with the brakes and derailleur attached then took them off and cleaned them and the frame again.
    Otherwise a really nice rebuild.

Thanks for your comment! I can see how that may look a bit strange. The reason I do it that way is because I find it easier to clean the dirt and gunk off of these components with brushes and steel wool while they are still being 'held' by the bike and I don't need to hold them with one hand. Yes, it's an extra step to then clean the areas that you cannot reach at first, but overall still advantageous in my opinion

One of the uglier frame paints of the era, so ugly that it becomes charming like a pug. also promax are flexy shite, an upgrade to any low end shimano vbrake would be noticable.

@@bottoncino_bicycles that colour combo is very un-tipical for a 90s paintjob, reminds me more of ugly early 2000s paints
