  • Hey Y'all! It's Alex from ‪@YouShouldCraft‬, here with a super cute, super quick twisted earwarmer crochet pattern. The Alpine Twist Headband uses super bulky yarn and a big hook, so you'll be done in 30-60 minutes, depending on your crochet speed.
This headband has lots of texture, thanks to alternating fpdc stitches. Due to the post stitches, the Alpine Twist Headband is rated as an intermediate level pattern. However, a confident beginner could absolutely take on this project.
The video tutorial demonstrates how to crochet the adult large ear warmer, but there are five sizes available in the full pattern (baby, toddler, child, adult small, adult large).

There isn't a video tutorial, but the Alpine Twist Headband has a matching cowl, which is also available on the blog: www.youshouldcraft.com/free-c...

This was such a fun project! I just made one this morning, and it was as easy as you said. The only issue was it was too big for my head, lol, I'll keep that in mind for the next one I do! It might have to do with the fact I don't have the exact right supplies... a beginner has to make do! A 6 mm needle and 5 bulky yarn I had lying around.
Thanks for sharing such a fun pattern!

Thanks Shelby! It depends on how stretchy your yarn is, but you'll want the finished headband to be like 2-4 inches shorter than the circumference of your head.

Your description are a little confusing and you neglected to say alternate your dc and fpdc on the first line. I ended up with second row of 20 stitches… JS
