He’s really so brave because being in that situation imagine being face to face with the shooter and being that terrified but all still focused on keeping your class safe I can’t even imagine

I don't care on someone belief on guns, but never claim someone didn't experience something. Calling these kids crisis actors, saying this is fake, etc is horrible. I am pro-gun myself but I would never claim this kids didn't experience the traumatic event they went through.

Anthony and his family fled the violence and dangers of the Venezuela crisis, and came to the U.S in hopes of a better quality of life...and then this happened :( he was shot in the hallway and the shooter followed him towards a classroom. To protect his classmates he blocked the door with his body the guy shot his back. His dream soccer team gifted him a signed jersey and invited him to Spain when he recovered.

"Equally tough"? Yaaaaa. Nope. This kid's journey was waaaaay tougher. I've broken my leg and got a metal rod hammered into my bone. I know how bad that recovery was. Add the additional injuries least of which like losing apart of your lung? How could they say this is "equally tough" as taking a flight to Washington and speaking to some political blokes?

When he started to walk l cried. The children who have gone through the pain and tears have been left with many scars but still find a way to pull through. It truly amazes me how strong he is.

This kid is incredibly beautiful, inside & out. Scars, and all. The therapy alone is difficult to watch. I cannot imagine. His family must be blown away every single day. I know that he will get on that field again one day. Young bodies are resilient. Keep focusing ❤️
