Class act and extremely modest given the huge talent he is. Proud that he is from my country. Very proud of Rush in general.
He's so humble
Talented is born within. And what a talent on GEDDY 😁👍🏻
I have seen Rush live 3 times in Tulsa Oklahoma. Years ago. Very clean live show.
I saw them 3 times in the late 70’s, in Richmond Va. I was hooked from the first song I heard on the radio
Ive been listening to RUSH since i was in Jr High. Absolute fan. I really admire that he is grounded and cordial about how he grew up. Geddy Lee is certainly a perfect example of what happens when you actually follow your innate abilities. He and his band mates are on my list of admirable people.
Lovely fella. As much as i love the crazy, brash rockstars. I love the humble, modest rockstars just as much.
Rush had a work ethic that we all can learn from, and that plays a big part of their success; not to mention they split the $$ three ways and made an effort to get a long and not be selfish. Saw them Permanent Waves Tour and Moving Pictures + seven other times. They showed up on time and played like it was their last day on earth. Again we can all learn a lot from these three guys. There lol will `never be a power trio like that ever again. Peace
Geddy is always a treat to watch. On and off stage. I love the fact that he's proudly displaying his order of Canada pin on his lapel. 🇨🇦✌️
“I got into a bad crowd”, said with a grin !
A working class hero is something to be and Geddy is boss
Love him !!

I enjoyed this video!
Right on man, done proper, keep it up 👊 🍀
Love it! You and I are (almost neighbours)...you were in Willowdale and I was from Downsview...basically we are Manor Boys. In fact my dad's nephew was Mel Lastman. My older brother was musically gifted and was in a rock band "The Tempos" about your time mid sixties who actually furthered their careers in such bands such as Lighthouse. I think you too are die hard Blue Jays fans too.....Shalom Alechem.
Love those Wandrè guitars on the piano.
3:17 I'm guessing that he's talking about Jeff Jones. Always fun to show someone a Burton Cummings performance and ask them about the tie to Rush.
creating something to counter hardship covers up the blank canvas
Was this only 5 minutes long?
This is just a clip, the full episode can be watched here: www.axs.tv/channel/the-big-interview-with-dan-rather/the-big-interview-with-dan-rather-season-5/video/rushs-geddy-lee/
@@AXSTVMost definitely worth the watch! Thank you so much, Dan and AXS TV! ♥️♥️♥️
I wonder where that first Bass is what name brand how much it cost
Jeff Jones was replaced by Gary Lee in 68
What happened
I always wanted to like Rush but there are times Geddy Lee shrieks like a constipated grandma desperate for relief. That said, imagine Rush without Ged- it would never work. I find earlier Rush a bit more intriguing lyrically.
Obviously Dan Rather is not a musician. Any musician would have asked Geddy if he still had that first guitar.
The truth is that he applied for the circus but was turned away. The freaks kept throwing up when they looked at him.
Rush was overrated along w GEDDY LEE.
Perhaps they should've had Yoko sing for them.
Yet you like lennon a known woman abuser. It's confirmed he beat both wives and one of his girlfriends.....and he's your musical hero ? 😃😃😄😄
Rush had a unique style that was completely different from the cookie-cutter music being played on the radio today, which is likely why some people don't like them.
Overrated?’ Obviously you know nothing about Rush, music or playing the bass.
@tonylevin6200 IM SURE THERE ARE BANDS U NOT CRAZY ABOUT BUT THEY GET ALOT OF RECOGNITION AS FAR AS GEDDY I DIDN'T SAY HE CANT PLAY BASS I JUST DONT LIKE HIS VOCALS. IM NOT A FAN OF FOO FIGHTERS BUT I. A FAN OF DAVE GROHL HE'S THE AMBASSADOR OF ROCK BUT IM NOT CRAZY OVER HIS MUSIC IT'S CALLED A OPINION LIKE A**HOLES EVERONE HAS ONE ,!
