Zahida Amin| Power in the Thread| Handicraft Kashmir| The Slice Today| Slice No. 05

Zahida Amin is from Sopore, Kashmir and she runs the project namely "Naie Kiran" under which she works with women artisans in Kashmir, allow them to do embroidery work on various handicraft products including Kashmiri and those imported from different states of India. Zahida takes their work to different markets in India and give these artisans direct access to the market sidelining the role of middlemen who used to exploit them by taking major share of the profit.
