I bought a 10.5 with the 240v setup a few months ago. I got out of brewing for about 5 years and this got me back into it, so much better than a 3 vessel brewing setup, and I like that the claw hammer kit is all off the shelf parts, not some app controlled proprietary nonsense that if anything breaks it becomes a paperweight. Brewed 4 times with it. Love it so far. I got the 240 volt version because I might upgrade my kettle later or use it in a still... allegedly. Some advice I have for people using the 10.5 with the 240v is to run an autotune before brewing. Also turn off the heat and run the pump for a few minutes after mash in. My first brew the PID was over shooting the temp a lot, but after running an auto tune it was perfect.
Kyle, you guys are rock stars! I went with Spike because their kettle has a tri-clad bottom and I am not a big fan of internal elements. However, I am a big fan of your channel and appreciate you and your team.
I am modified mine to hold two heating elements that I plug into a separate power source other than that, I love the system made better beer than I did on the mash and boil customer service is also spot on
2025 I will be retiring from 34 years as a Firefighter, have been brewing on and off the entire time, I will be moving to Missouri who allows distillation: I look forward to replacing my Brewzilla system with your 20 gallon system and eventually my T-500 with your system as well. Thanks for all your awesome videos!!!
I love this! Does the grain basket have some kind of feet to let it hang out near the top of the kettle to drain so I don't have to sit there holding it? This looks amazing!!
I have a really nice SS Brewtech 10gal kettle and was wondering if you sell a kit or parts that I could retro fit it to a electric style all in one setup? Even if I have to add an extra hole or two Id love to make it a little bit easier to work with for my own enjoyment haha
I can't wait to buy it. But I don''t own my own place yet and as a canadian, importing it is... frustrating. Probably will ask my friend from chicago to just bring it up.
Kyle I always enjoy your videos. How are you guys going to handle the incoming steel and import tariffs? Did you buy up a bunch of inventory? I feel for all the good American companies who rely on steel imports, even if it's just cold rolled stainless and you're doing all the stamping, welding and assembly in the US (I think this describes Spike, for example), these dumbass tariffs totally ham the business and consumers.
Same boat. I will upgrade when I get a bit more dedicated space for brewing. Until then it's biab and a 5 galling pottle kettle with 3 gallon max batches.
I bought the system second hand and have brewed over 60 beers on it so far. It started to show its age and the welds on the grain basket came undone. I looked at your website and had to order a replacement basket but $175 seems pretty steep. Is there any way you could bring the price down or work on a better basket design so that the mesh doesn't come undone from the steel? Everything else has been great, and the whirlpool arm is one of the best upgrades. Thanks!
@@ClawhammerSupply Thanks but I already have the replacement. I gave the old basket away to a friend to practice welding. I'll keep this in mind for the future though!
Hi, I'm fairly new to the 20 gallon system when you add your water to the 20 gallon how many water are you using I'm using 7.5 to 8 gallons does this sound right for the clawhammer 20 gallon system? Thanks
If you want to call your system as “the best”, you “must” upgrade your grain basket. People can pull it out easily by themselves without spending too much force.
Just got a new Clawhammer 240V system, setting it up in the brewery getting ready for my first brew with it.
Absolutely love this. I have been wanting for so long to brew my own beer at home.

Your gear looks so nice. I will have to pick now up someday soon.

Differently looking at your 240vac EBS. I’m done with my slow 120vac 1600 watt system that only reaches around 1460 watts. Thanks.

Does the ambient temperature of the room matter? I want to use this in an unheated room.
I used my 120v in my 35°F garage last weekend... took a little longer but still got a good boil
Hello. Couple of questions. Can I convert to 240 later? Or do I need to buy a new system? Also does it have a delay timer on the control head? Thanks.
I wish you guys shipped to the UK
There is a System, called one pot brewing , available in germany, so you can order it from uk ;)
I’ll get this system one day 🥲

I have the 20 gallon behemoth and I have yet to look back. Been the best thing since... Uhhhhh... Sliced bread, I guess?

You can send it to us and we’ll fix it and send it back!

Yo! Just unboxed my 240v system. Looks like it came with the old bazooka tube pickup. Where can I snag the new 90?
Oh man! Just shoot an email to support@clawhammersupply.com and we’ll get one on its way.
Probably invest in the 240v once my Anvil dies or is sold.
Bar none the best system on the market! I have the 10.5 and the 20 gallon systems!

@ If you making a 5-6 gallon batch then yes.
What about the cold side?
