Thanks. Some people don't believe in these sound demos, and that's fine too. But I just want to have something for everyone. I appreciate you, and thanks for watching!
These sound demos are crucial. Especially when recorded this professionally. If you have a desktop setup with everything dailed in, the little deltas in sound really do come through!
the smsl su-1 is my choice of the 3...maybe because of the great implementation of the AKM chip without adding coloration in the chain by using filters in the circuit...
It's a great DAC. Just about all Sigma Delta DACs have FIR filters. The AK4493 has 5 or 6. But to your point, I like that they picked one and kept it simple. Thanks for watching. And I appreciate your feedback! 🙏
Fantastic video and audio quality in the samples. I could track the song’s bassline the best with the Topping D70 Pro Octo. Beyond that, they all sounded really nice! I didn’t like the Topping e50 that I tried out. Maybe I should try this D70. I currently own the SU-1, love it so far. I do get some sharp edges on some tracks here and there. But I’ve paired it with a Reisong A12 tube amp and everything got a little rounder and smoother.
Yeah, the SU-1 can be a little sharp but really is solid for it's price. Great little DAC. And I agree w you on the tubes. Great way to relax the SU-1.
I don't know if it's "better". It's Different. I prefer the sound of the Octo, but the Sabre is technically more correct. Sabré is more transparent and controls bass better. The Octo is softer and more relaxed, almost like R2R sound.
Yeah. Not in the frequency response. But there is a greater difference in imaging and soundstage via speakers. Thanks for watching/listening! I appreciate it and the feedback! 👍
The last part when you switch on the fly is the best in my opinion.
Great job.

Love to hear the SMSL D-6s in this comparison too...
I'll see if someone can loan me a D-6S soon. 👍
awesome
🙏
I had to grab the Octo after this video lol
Nice!! I think I'm going to as well. I really do dig that kind of sound. Enjoy! 👍

Is it better than the D70 pro sabre? And why? I don't speak English 😏 I've the dx7 pro now. Is it a good idea to take the d70, it change?

@@RickRuizAudio Ok. Thanks a lot for the help
Not much difference between the SMSL SU-1 and the Topping D70.

I heard a big difference especially in the vocals and wider stage
