I love this! I suggested this to my son’s school last year and was told that they used to have a sensory room, but the new principal deemed it unnecessary and got rid of it.
Loved all the ideas from this!! Also, love seeing a fellow special education teacher vlogging! As a 2nd year SPED teacher, I love getting ideas from all the other SPED teachers out there but there aren't many on youtube. Do you remember where you got the sensory table?
Love connecting with other SpEd teachers- thanks for being here! Here’s the link for the sensory table: a.co/d/5m9Wfhh It’s from Amazon so it’s more affordable than other places :)
I ordered those exact sensory balls for my resource room and they were all broken in one day. The liquid inside made an absolutely mess! Just a heads up!
I have always wanted to start a sensory room in my school. Can you share the some of the info about the different sensory input types that you included?
Of course! The different categories were: touch, sound, sight, smell, vestibular (balance and movement), proprioceptive (body awareness), and interception

Ugh that makes me so sad for him! I wonder if the principal could be convinced otherwise to put it back.
What a wonderful way to support students.
We are very excited about it!
Thank you for all of the sensory ideas !
