I'm a vocal nerd, and I absolutely LOVE how Will Ramos says "we rot face down" in To The Abyss. The way 'rot' goes 'rooawt', as well as how it rises in pitch to make the lowering pitch of 'face down' more powerful.
You literally are the only person that I’ve heard that talks about diphthongs. I went from Detroit and moved to Germany and had a buy a German Dictionary to learn how to order food otherwise I would starve and I learned about the vowels of diphthongs
Super late to the party but it’s so nice to hear people who actually know what they’re talking about explaining the talent that Ronnie has with his vocals (and creating music in general). I understand he’s a really controversial character but I find it SO childish when people say he has no talent just because they don’t like him. It’s just really refreshing to hear you judge the music for the music and not be influenced by all the other stuff. So thank you ☺️
I love this guy... Not only do you genuinely listen but you know what you're talking about and give great feedback... Keep up the good work there is so much more music of Ronald Radke you need to hear
Yes actually. In popular monster by FIR he says “we’re falling apart” the third time in the last chorus. omg it GETS me every time. It’s one of those where you melt when you hear it. I freaking love him.
@@letitiad8440 It literally stands out so well and it’s just one of those moment where you’re like “my favorite part is coming up” and I have replayed it at least 5 times before the song ends every time I hear it 😂
Ronnie actually does a ton of False Cord lows and fry mids back and forth in their song The Guillotine IV (The Final Chapter), might be an interesting one for you
This song is less about Ronnie's life and more about the world we live in today. Especially the past 6 years or so from the start of the tumult of politics in our nation. Every year it's gotten worse and Ronnie is speaking on that, at a risk. Big props to Ronnie for addressing this and risk getting "canceled" himself. It really shows a lot about his character. Definitely a dude I wish I could've met and grew up with. Seems like a super down to earth and physical person.
MIght just add this: Ronnies got "canceled" times and times before, at least it was tried to cancel him....I think from all i know about him and his past, hes got his experiences with the topic on a very personal level... But i couldnt agree more with your comment. Im not an American, i live in Germany and we have our very own political problems to say it this way, but obviously we get to see your turmults in politics and everything else. Thats why i think this song can also be interpretated as not only for one specific country/region, it can be put on every part of the world, maybe the world, real and "digital world". Okay obviously the "welcome to america" line kind of ruins my thoughts here :D but you surely know what i mean. This world is going crazy these past years in particular, just glad people like Ronnie dont shut their mouth. Hes a genourine good guy, he talks a lot of truth and he has an unmatched talent. Thats for sure.
Ronnie will LOVE this reaction if he sees it! As a vocalist, my favorite part (that seems to go unnoticed by reactors) is the high note that he sustains as a backing vocal at 11:53. That is a LEGIT slide and a difficult place in the voice to do that. For example, starting that higher (to me) is actually much easier technically and Rodney's voice is very similar to my own in terms of structure/timber/strengths... although his is OBVIOUSLY much better than mine! 😆 Very beefy note for being that high... he is extremely gifted AND very technically sound... a true student of sound. That is a VERY rare combo to do all of this at such a high level. My currect top-5 favorite singers, in no order: Ronnie Radke, David Phelps, Dennis Tvardick, Drew Mailloux and Spencer Stoleto.

Awesome reaction again dude. Ronnie / Falling in Reverse have a lot of heavy songs/breakdowns, just need to find them. He does interweave epic choruses or raps in those songs, but there are a heap of heavy metalcore tracks.
I’m super late to your channel but I love how intellectual you are on everything. Love falling in reverse and I think that’s what lead me here. Keep up the good work bro.

New follower! Dude- first off, get ready to be spammed bc anyone that can do metal the way you do, (And I've only heard a wee bit so far) I trust their opinion. Second, I'm obsessed with Ronnie Radke and his voice. You haven't even reached the peak of what this man can do! *Watch the world burn* is literally a masterpiece and you need to hear it! He really flexes in every way possible and I'm stressing this to you! YOU NEED TO WATCH IT! After that... Voices in my head, Popular Monster and then listen to his latest, a Papa Roach reimagining ...last resort. 😮 Record every second! 🖤
to be fair talking about the tension and that with his screaming and everything, he has been doing this for almost , if not for about 20 years, so he definitely has a good understanding of what his limits and knowledge of his instrument is
i'm feeling what you're saying about the vowel in "hypnotized" i double backed this a lot i got certain moment in Lorna Shore's "...and i return to nothingness" at exactly 3:02 Will is doing a super clean and deep growl which is just earthshaking because it's standing like a little bit alone in the middle of the music
I love how you analyze and explain the technical aspects of Radke's voice, and how much you appreciate his mastery of his craft. I know there is a lot to take in and disect in a reaction video with this level of musicianship. You clearly have a passion for vocals and a gift for communicating how these techniques work. I understand that and have the same passion for piano. I discovered mine a little late in life. Anyway, my only criticism of your reaction is the visuals are just as amazing as the voice, and music. I would like to hear you touch more on the deep meaning of the zombie cheerleader and mirror for example. Im sure you later go back and see these things. You called swat truck an ambulance for example. I absolutely loved watching your breakdown of the singing techniques used. It was so enjoyable and informative. Would love to see you do a breakdown of some of FiR other songs that blend genres in interesting and unexpected ways. If you havent already, you should listen to the trilogy (Losing My Mind, Losing My Life, and Drugs) as well as Rolling Stone and Champion.

Love the reactions man! So I just wanted to let you know in case you didn’t already, Falling In Reverse has an entire album containing Ronnie doing a lot of harsh vocals. It’s called Fashionably Late and I HIGHLY recommend it. Also, please check out this new band Alleviate, I think you’ll really enjoy breaking them down!
Ronnie got some grief for a mic stand being thrown into a crowd (the zombie being skewered by the stand) and he also had someone throw a F... Ronnie Radke shirt on stage at a concert (which a certain car top zombie seems to be wearing as his head is vaporized ). Those are just two of the Easter eggs from this song.
It was actually a guy wearing one I believe, front row at his show. He asked the dude who really wins after he bought a ticket and spent time in line all to stand there looking like an asshole lmao

Omg. Man you are amazing. I love you getting into the breakdown and it just taking over. Then you give your chair a light kick. The best example of "disrespect your surroundings" gently. Haha. Never related to something so much. Like ugh the beat is just taking over and want let go but I don't want to break the few nice things I have around me. Chef's kiss. 🤣🤣🤣 Hope that made sense.
haha say what you want we know you are more into this band than you admit. We see how giddy you get when you review them haha. You have got to do Popular Monster you will LOVE IT!
Amazing reaction friend! We loved it! Ronnie is a fricken artist. Still hoping you get a chance to check out Ice Nine Kills - Funeral Derangements. I still promise its by far Spencer's best display of all his talents- cleans, harsh and growls are just insane. We promise you will nerd out over it. Take care and look forward to whatever you put out next!
I love how after you discovered the sound at 26:08 in another video, you find a way to seemingly squeeze it into every video since lol sounds sick as hell btw. I like it. And it’s funny to watch
POPULAR MONSTER! Sorry... didn't mean to scream... If you liked "Zombified", I'm pretty sure you're gonna enjoy "Popular Monster" a lot. Great videos, by the way,
I have watched ur reactions to Drug in me is reimagined and Im not vampire (revamped) and I must say ur reactions are most pure out of all reactions, "Hi, my name is Ronnie" hitted me too
The Twin Revelation by Shadow of Intent has this about 20 second vocal section from ben Duerr where he's doing like goblin screams that makes me shake every time it's so cool
Please react to one of Wintersun's songs. Preferably either Time, Sons of Winter and Stars orLand of Snow and Sorrow. There are wonderful studio rehearsal videos of all of them.
With your experience I would love to see some reactions to some OLD Falling in Reverse or Escape the Fate with Ronnie doing fry vocals and false cords!!
I love a vocal coach knowing a little about phonetics. You're great. A phoneme is the smallest unit of sound, a morphene is the smallest unit of meaning. Diphthong think two letters one sound so it's two vowel sounds combined to make a new vowel (ah-ee to make long I).
Mark, I just want to say that I'm a huge fan and thank you. I've been into metal for the better part of 20 years ever since I heard band called Zao. (I'd love to see your reaction to one of their songs, maybe Xenophobe or Ship of Theseus?) They're the reason I wanted to be a vocalist and (because I didn't know what I was doing) I screwed up my voice. Harsh vocals have always fascinated me and I love hearing your analysis of how/why. Also, you have introduced me to so many new bands. Looking forward to new content and keep up the awesome work.
It would be awesome to see you do Affiance - Peace of Mind. The vocal part right after the solo just blows me away. He's probably my favorite vocalist. I think you'd love them.
I was thinking about a specific part of a song that really stands out and it made me remember a vivid memory: I was listening to the album Grim by Dark Sarah in its entirety for the first time, and was listening to The Hex. The song itself is outstanding but I distinctly recall the end where she was singing the chorus one last time, and I remember thinking, “it would be SO AMAZING if she sang the last note this specific way” and she hit it absolutely exactly how I imagined, I felt like my soul shifted it was so beautiful (and surreal how it happened). Love the whole song but that last chorus is and will always be special. “The Hex is JUSTIFIED”
Best song ever on 2022 ronnie voice is amazing and then the breakdown always nasty & it's an ep album coming out of the band called zombiefied i love this band so much 🤘🔥
Hey a new viewer here! If you want a song where Ronnie is screaming/growling more I would recommend you reacting to ‘Don’t Mess with Ouija Boards’ I know it’s an old song but it really shows how he’s improved over the years and just how long he has been working on his vocals
The starting riff seems a bit similar to a certain Disturbed song and the little vocal percussion is a definite ode to David, damn the execution though💥.
The end in second heartbeat by avenged sevenfold in the studio version when the rev hits the final high note before the outro hits as well as the end in hail to the king when shadows hits that voice inflection
Fear my name- vileblood. The way some of the words are enunciated and articulated gets me everytime. If anyone hasnt heard em. Its a combo like moitonless and ice nine kills. Absolutely great lol
Ronnie is a genius when it comes lyricism, musicality, marketing, cinematography the whole nine yards... Love him or hate him, he's extremely talented!
Please do an analysis of Bloody Angel by Avatar live in Poland Rock and Fairy Tale by Shaman also live and you might like Falling in Reverse Popular Monster as well. Hi from Brazil!! Your necrogodzilla comment made me want to request a review of the new necrogoblicon song. I think you will love everything about it
"You're Time Is Gonna Come"- Zeppelin, On the line "It's faded away, can't feel you anymore" I go berserk every time I hear it!
I'd like to see you react to one of his older songs-----The Bitter End. Has some of my favorite vocal acrobatics in there.
Duuuuude!!! Vola is so unique and one of my favorite bands also.
DAMN RIGHT!
If you wanna to hear more of Ronnie's screaming listen to the song "Champion" It's an older song but still a good one
He never reviewed it sadly...
What an excellent reaction!! Very helpful 👍
Thanks dude!
first time here, great video!!! love the song, and REALLY appreciate the vocal tips and info along the way!
VOLA is god damn amazing, I love all of their songs!
Damn right!
Please do Falling in Reverse - Ronald. It's your territory :D
Great video!
Would love to see more Tallah vocal video reactions with Justin!
Ronnie is the bomb man. Love everything he puts out
I love how after you discovered the sound at 26:08 in another video, you find a way to seemingly squeeze it into every video since lol sounds sick as hell btw. I like it. And it’s funny to watch
Oh, the cheek pull stuff I've been doing in my own music for YEARS now. Was just a single tongue position in that video. I'm glad you like it! :)
POPULAR MONSTER! Sorry... didn't mean to scream... If you liked "Zombified", I'm pretty sure you're gonna enjoy "Popular Monster" a lot. Great videos, by the way,
I have watched ur reactions to Drug in me is reimagined and Im not vampire (revamped) and I must say ur reactions are most pure out of all reactions, "Hi, my name is Ronnie" hitted me too
15:40... "Eveybody just shut up, we're listening to that again" 😂 Yesssss. lol
Anyone else think the riff sounds like One Step Closer?
I only just noticed that background vocal at 11:53 that raises up slightly!
Hit the video as soon as I got the notification! Currently at work but I’ll definitely be back after to watch the whole thing :)
The Twin Revelation by Shadow of Intent has this about 20 second vocal section from ben Duerr where he's doing like goblin screams that makes me shake every time it's so cool
Again, the poor chair. At least it wasn't a sword this time 🤣
And this wasn't even the black and white sacrificial chair!
Check out Ronald, that's more down your alley
Say what you want about Ronnie personally, but it's really hard to deny his voice and songwriting ability.
Said it before and I’ll say it again I still love seeing you step out and check out something different
Love the reaction! Have you listened to Popular Monster? Or the trilogy Losing My Mind/Losing My Life/Drugs ? If not I highly recommend.
I love how you kicked the chair during the breakdown 😂
you will definitely like the song "Ronald"
It would be awesome to see you do Affiance - Peace of Mind.
The vocal part right after the solo just blows me away. He's probably my favorite vocalist. I think you'd love them.
I was thinking about a specific part of a song that really stands out and it made me remember a vivid memory:
I was listening to the album Grim by Dark Sarah in its entirety for the first time, and was listening to The Hex.
Congratulations! Celebrate with your lady.
Thanks!
For me the last verse of courus on formaldehyde is single handedly the best part how he hits that style is just perfect
Thanks for watching!
I'm a drummer and play guitar, but watching your videos mark, make me wanna learn to sing, yell, growl etc! Lol
The starting riff seems a bit similar to a certain Disturbed song and the little vocal percussion is a definite ode to David, damn the execution though💥.
I just realized I haven't seen Mark go over Vincent's vocals from The Acacia Strain. Would be hype to see him breakdown one of their songs.
That would be hype!
@@KardavoxAcademy ❤️❤️
The end in second heartbeat by avenged sevenfold in the studio version when the rev hits the final high note before the outro hits as well as the end in hail to the king when shadows hits that voice inflection
"everybody just shut up" best line ever lol :)
Fear my name- vileblood. The way some of the words are enunciated and articulated gets me everytime. If anyone hasnt heard em. Its a combo like moitonless and ice nine kills. Absolutely great lol
Lacuna Coil Reaction Please .. Reckless or Layers of Time .. Cristina Scabbia's Voice is Amazing!
You need to react to "Ronald" by falling in reverse.
I agree not a big Falling in Reverse fan but i love this song and Popular Monster
I really appreciate your work, it helped me a lot when I started to learn how to scream and it keeps helping me improve my technic.
First vid of yours I’ve seen and I love the content.
In answer to the question, Higinia by Blessthefall (the irony is great)
Ok, I’m sure everyone has requested Popular Monster, but I think you would absolutely love that song.
First it was just a regular okay song. But then the break hits so on point. Dayum…
