Interesting and informative video Andrew. Taking a photo about something rather than of something is an important lessons to learn, and the project in this video is a great way to start.
Well, I thoroughly enjoyed the video despite someone who didn’t! But less of that, each to their own! Since finding your channel I have enjoyed the variety of subject matter, which to date has been informative! Now off to watch what you did with a banana, so to speak!😂
I was lost in the woods this week, seeking moments, photos, filming, laying on the forest floor, contemplating ticks more than one should...probably. Looking to expand my understanding of the world by shrinking it...I think I got it when I encountered an old friend.
Their is a bus shelter we wait at for the bus home after the pub, yes i carry a camera everywhere, got quite a collection now of that bus shelter and that is largely down to you and a couple of other youtubers, look and you will see
HI, Andrew. I think the subject had too little variation to make good partial photos. If you do the same with a boat with a sail on it, you will have more variation in your photo work. The only photo I do like is the one of the rope around the rusted pole. A bit of creative post-processing and then this could be a very nice one. Sorry but three weeks ago I thought it was over with Andy's photo channel. A whole video about a tripod, dear friend but that surprised me. And then followed by a video about an LED lamp. I understand that you benefit from it but I doubt whether it is good for the channel. Mind you, it is your channel and you have to do the things that you think should be done. And you should not pay attention to an old man from the Netherlands. But that is why we are also known as blunt and direct people. And I say what I think, not always very smart but oh well..... To the next opportunity. Antoine.
The whole premise of this video was not to make nice or good photos, Antoine. It's purely about learning to see potential. I don't think there was one good photo in the video, mediocre at best, but few of us can knock out great images all the time, but the more we learn to see, the better we get. The video with the tripod was a look at a product in a relatable situation. The video after that was in response to someone saying in a comment "I bet he could take a good photo in a box". I tried it and I think the abstracts were perfectly decent and it fostered further ideas. My channel needs to vary the content but it also needs to earn money as each video takes days of effort. If I were to work out my hourly rate per video, it would be perhaps £0.50p per hour and thus I unashamedly will accept items from companies for review as it's the only way I can obtain new and interesting gear because there's no financial benefit to the channel for me otherwise. I appreciate that not all of the content suits every viewer. That's OK - I realised long ago that I can't please everyone all the time. I sent you an email earlier as I realised you hadn't commented in a while. I hope you're OK. Andy
Another great video. My favourite shot was the mooring pin, the texture of the rope in that shot is wonderful.

Andrew pottering around taking pot-shots at one of his favorite subjects. Quite a few keepies. Nice to watch. An approach well worth following.
Thanks 👍
if you can take pictures of the inside of a box then photographing (insert subject here) should really pose no problems!
Even if they aren't terribly good images... :-)
loving these informative videos from you. Great stuff
Glad you like them!
As always awesome content, you certainly give us, food for thought, Andy.
Thank you
I was patiently waiting for the rope on scaffold pole shot. It was well worth it. Better than expected. 👍🏻
lol.
I enjoyed the video. I liked the "Square boundaries" 😉! Thank you !
I find that constraining your view really helps sometimes.
Enjoyed the video, Andy. Great exercise. Thanks for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it

I kinda feel I should apologise... ;-)
In many ways a really good exercise, thanks for your inspiration.
My pleasure!
