i'll admit inazuma has better landscapes, enemies, and mechanics. it shows how the game has improved over time. but mondstadt just feels like home with all its characters, even if the place may pale in comparison to newer areas. there's no place like home, and that's mondstadt

It’s the first place we arrived and met so many wonderful characters. It’s the city of freedom of course it’s a wonderful place to be.

After watching this, i forced myself to go to the place where i started my journey. It was pretty nice, going back to where you met emergency food paimon and going to Monstdadt. It felt like… home
I look back from the beginning in Starfell Lake and the shore where we all started. Starfell Lake being the one where I drowned Lumine lmao. Great and funny times indeed. Lol I even lost count on who I drowned during the early days in the game.
Aha, yes. I remember trying to swim across the river from Mondstat to Springvale on a call with my friend. I drowned mid-way and freaked out so much. Though I came back later with more stamina and swam fully across, it was almost magical as I completed something I couldn't before? It's cheesy but idk. (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧

I know Genshin only released in October 2020, its not even a year yet. But this video really takes us back, it feels like home. I remember running around Stormterror's lair to find chests, having fun with my friends at the Angel's Share while roleplaying characters. Genshin really went so far
God so many memories coming to when I first played. It was a month after the release so yeah I was pretty early. But I remember being clueless at the fact this game would eventually suck me in into a deep hole.
I think the reason that makes mondstadt especially so nostalgic and makes players emotional is it's a perfect place were all people are friendly and kind to each other wich is something we humans want in our real world but it's unlike mondstandt it's not easy to get a life like this in the real world
