It is fun sprucing up your comics and getting them protected. Its kind of relaxing actually. But I also bag and board 1000s sometimes so I like to do it efficiently when I can.
Love the video everyone has their style and favorite bags and boards! Love the showing of the book!! Would like to see more of those videos going thru a comic book of your choice and showing inside of the book from books normally people would never pick up! Great video!!! Great stufff!!
Great helpful video👍. When I went to comic con and even certain comic shops, They bagged up comics with 2 or 3 boards in 1 sheet. Know the reason why they do that? I would think 1 board is enough
If the book is a pricier one adding and additional board or two helps keep it from being bent as people rummage through bins of comics. I have seen spines still bent at cons etc with 1 board.
@pop-comics Oh that's why they do that. Makes sense. That's good to do, especially for the key issues and mild keys to protect them. I've sometimes seen comic shops where they have comics, raw out in the open with no packaging at all, and it's in the cheap price bins. Personally I don't like those because alot of can be in rough shape condition of everybody going through them. But it doesn't hurt to get some of those if it's in the dollar bins. Can't go wrong.
*fingers crossed that the bag adhesive strip doesn't become either weak or too bonded to itself in 5 years time. Here's hoping. Your technique is very sound. Who taught you?
Oh the strip is fine, my fault with tape is over 5 years it adheres too much to the bags so every time you have to open one it damages the bag etc. Tape is awful for resealing, the resealable bags are great. And I do like to take my comics out semi often.
Yes Shrinkflation started in the 1950s too. So 1940s books were large and had a lot of pages, but they started cutting the pages and made it smaller so save cost and keep it 10 cents. The finally gave up and raised priced 20% in the early 1960s and shrunk the books some more.
Fun, educational, and relaxing video! Thanks, Sean!
You are very welcome.
I love spending time bagging and boarding.

Awesome video Sean ❤
Thank you!
Very nice page quality on that book! The cover wasn't bad either except for those big chips.
Yeah really lovely copy of the book.
Cool video! 👍🏻
Thank you :)
Helpful video! Will save a lot of us lots of time
And self-sealing bag #gang
(as long as the seal's not on the flap)
Oh yeah flap seal is the worst, leads to tape pulls. I love BCW self seal use them all the time.
I need to buy these in 100 pack instead of individually they would make it much easier to make sure what I need to have backing board
100 at a time is usually cheaper then buying 1 at a time at a local comic shop

Another Awesome Video! I just ordered 200 BCW bags and boards.
Good choice!

Nothing like being able to read raw comic books along with bagging and boarding them.
Indeed!
I feel bad for those unbagged unboarded comic books
That’s why you bag and board them.
You sure got your moneys worth back in the day for ten cents.

Pro tip use duct tape to protect your comics even more
Everyone has they own ways to bag and board but cool set-up tho........
Of course, there is no right way. I just like to share the fastest most efficient way I know to save people time bagging.
@pop-comics .....👍hey its all good do what you do.......
Thanks ;)
