"As they discussed in their reveal video, the young man is Coen. In this game, vampires are made by pushing one of their needle-like teeth into the heart of their progeny to turn them. However, due to Coen being a silver miner, he accumulated silver poisoning. As a vampire, it weakens him but at the same time the silver keeps him from fully turning, allowing him to walk in daylight. Basically, medieval Blade, in a sense."
I absolutely love the concept of each vampire being a soldier from different ethnicities/societies that are from different times of human society: The bald vampire appears to be carrying a Roman era weapon, probably a gladius, which could be a good indicator of how old the vampire is. The other looks like Genghis Khan or any nomad from Mongolic descent. The blonde one seems to be inspired in King Arthur or some kind of English Knight, the woman looks that can be inspired in the Queen Bathsheba.
The Mongols or near descendants were common in this region. Mongols invaded around 100 years before the game setting. Later defeated by crusade of Poles, and Hungarian knights (with some German and Czech help) The Turkic mongol-connected nomadic Tatars were still present there. Poles and Lithuanians were hiring them as mercenaries between XIV and XVII century. So that Genghis Khan might be actually that historical figure, one of his army or vampire closer to that time :) I also love the fact that any character from the past (Celt, Roman, Greek, Gaul, Germanic) would fit in the setting :)
Just fyi, the Carpathians is a mountain range stretching from the south bit of Poland all the way into Serbia in the south, with Romania hosting the largest section of it. Per legends, that was the original home of the vampire know as Count Dracula.
The game's gonna have a system where of good/evil where you are gonna the chance to feed yourself with innocent people but at the same time that's gonna end up with that zone being in "quarantine" or lockdown. So you're gonna have the chance to have the game "easier" by being more powerful but at the cost of less exploration, less shops and maybe even locking sidequests. It's a fantastic idea, you can play the game whoever you want.
I don't even like vampires that much, but this still looks and sounds like a must-play for me. I like the kind of choices you're gonna have to make, difference between day/night, etc. I doubt it will come out this year though. They said they started working on it 2 years ago. For more information on gameplay mechanics etc., you could watch their live reveal stream. It's on their RUclips channel as well by now. Games I'm looking forward to this year I think are mostly quite different from what you play (at least on YT): inZOI, Card Survival: Fantasy Forest (I looooved part 1 of the series, this is part 2), Tiny Bookshop, The Alters, Paralives, Swappy World, Solarpunk, Tavern Keeper, The House of Tesla, Kaya's Prophecy, My Party Needs an Alchemist, Avowed, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 (currently playing part 1 and making slow progress, so I'll probably start part 2 way after release), Fable, Hotel Galactic, Mixtape. I don't know abut GTA, I've never played any of it, because I don't like cars, or any type of mount (even horses) and driving around in games. The story parts, open world etc. do look good though. But I doubt I could get away without using the cars, as I did e.g. in Cyberpunk (except in the few quests that require it) or without Roach in The Witcher 3.
This looks awesome. This is a new top game I'm excited for. Also the same company that created "It Takes Two" is coming out with a new game that looks fun as well.
Me too. But I think the good idea for this will be if they make it kinda roguelike-ish, where after you complete the game you are teleported back in time and start anew but with the same character and all the skills/levels/whatnot you obtained during the previous run, and you can try doing new quests and trying new routes. Kinda like a New Game+. Kinda like Everspace. Or even like Nier Automata, where every next run is vastly different. But they have to make a large number of quests, routes, locations, and new stuff for it not to become boring on the third playthrough...
Wow that was bad the graphics and visuals are great but that's a bit much this game is probably not going to be everybody's cup of tea it's hard to believe that the people from The Witcher 3 made this because I don't get the same vibes maybe it's just me but I don't think I'll touch this game doesn't really do it for me I watched a video of a guy break down all the details of what they're trying to do and I'm not sure how it will age with the Dynamics they'll be using who knows

That vampire looks like elder vampire from witcher 3
I didn't read the title and legit thought you had jumped ahead and started blood and wine for some reason 😆 game looks cool though

Really atmospheric and dark trailer, can't wait for the full gameplay reveal in the summer🙏
Since i'm watching you play Witcher, I was waiting for your reaction to this trailer.😅 😁

If you liked this trailer.... yeah, better be ready for the "Blood and Wine" DLC for The Witcher III.
@@panpawe9738 I can’t wait! I’m so glad I’m going in without knowing anything
Yeah, the same people made it :)

This looks insane. Btw have you played Outer Wilds before? I would love to see you try it!
I have not! It is on my list so i'll be making a playthrough at some point
CDPR went hard on DIE and ESG
Because of this, the people who left CDPR created two Studios
REBEL WOLVES AND BLANK
they cooked and they cooked hard, only thing im not a fan of though is that we'll be on a timer-based story.

This game looks good, I just hope it's not another Cyberpunk in which it's released before the game is ready. Considering it's the same devs...
Devs didn't have any say in Cyberpunk's release. It was the studio's higher-ups decision, so I'm not very worried :)
In-game and in-engine are two completely different things.
Looks great though.
