Love that you’re not dogmatic about gardening. Where I live in Zone 8 South Carolina, it’s very different growing conditions than when I lived in Austin, TX Zone Too Hot.
There are always new ideas that pop into our heads for our gardens, right? It’s just never ending & that’s what makes gardening exciting & fun no matter how many years we’ve been doing it.😊
These last couple of days have been gloomy and dreary looking, although we did get some much needed rain up here in northern Oklahoma. And today I woke up to a glorious day and the sun shining. I need to start garden beds fall cleanup soon. Thanks for all your gardening tips Linda!
I love the tulip colors this year. Looking out of your beautiful window I can see exactly what you mean. That framed lattice would be perfect. You see a lot on the right side, including the chair backs. Great decision. Kayla is looking very trim today. Well done Kayla!!
I planted Menton tulips here in Melbourne AU for the first time last Winter. Oh my so tall, so long lasting and the colour was sublime.....Purple Rain alliums have taken over my garden. They are prolific multipliers....I will remember your mantra of not letting your plants bully you when they pop up next Spring. Vx
What a jewel Kayla is! Linda, it might be fun to put a neat looking weather vane at the center top point of your garage! Just a little finishing touch!
love the tulip show in spring, the daffodils will look sweet in lemon lane. After the rain we had we have leaves everywhere! I am glad the bulbs are in so we can focus on the cleanup. We have had a rollercoaster of cold/warm here in IL, but were very happy to get the garden watered!
Thank you for sharing hunny 🎉 gosh it looks so hot still with you. See you wearing a splint hope all ok with your arm. 🎉 love to all from Rosie O 🏴 x
Your garden, your choice. The photo of your front garden last spring was so pretty! I plant no tulips. The deer, squirrels, and rabbits eat them. I’m planting daffodils one last time this winter because last year a lot of my daffodils didn’t even come up. It was too warm. I garden in coastal southeastern NC, zone 8b.
Glad to see you’re wearing your brace! Have you heard about the “Laura Addition Augers” from Garden Answer? They carry them in their new store. Looks like they make planting more efficient and easier in your back. I’m happy you have Kayla and Team to help. You’ve planted yourself for many years and certainly deserve the help. 🌷 🌷🌷🌷
We just broke a record heat in 1957 was there climate change back then ….Kayla is smart , ,would love to hear her thoughts …..this is you garden it should please you 🍂🍁
It’s the patterns over long periods of time and patterns are definitely pointing to a heating planet. We have set record heat for the planet in the past two years. As gardeners, we all need to be mindful of such changes and how we are going to adapt to continue to maintain beauty in our green spaces!☺️
...I can still envision awnings over your back and garage doors, AND your garage window. Choose a suitable color (I love burgundy), which can also add color to the garden. You can do the newer modern raised seam metal awnings, or go with the old style in a Sunbrella fabric. Go ahead and have Kaylla fabricate the lattice panel that will give even more visual interest to the blank wall. Even a changeable (each year) annual vine could be planted, versus something permanent. Your backyard is just dreamy -- no grass to maintain -- with the custom hardscape in place; your topiary and begonia theaters; raised beds; living/dining rooms; and your functional area for potting and compost. LOVVVE. ITTT! 🤗🙌🫶 👩🏼🌾💚 =^..^= [MD, now 7a]
Really enjoying the new and recycling of past garden life lessons. 75 in NE Alabama today. Thank you for continuing to teach and inspire us. So much respect for you and your team! Love watching you do you!
It is so nice when youhave your workers on the show & credit them for all that they do for you; you are a good employer & a wonderful person!
Im very lucky. And thank you. 😊
Your workers? Could you be any more demeaning? I’m pretty sure LV is a client of the business that “worker” represents.
The tulips are going to be so fun! It was fun to see Kayla again:)

Me too!

Planted pansies in pots today in DC. It was 80 degrees!
Oh my!
You have a small house where do you put all those clothes and shoes and baskets?
Do you take the bulbs out each year? Or do you leave them in?
Tulips come out all else remain. 😁
I do pansies ! Here in Ks.
I need Kayla and her gang !
We all do!
❤
I think the lattice for the garage wall will be perfect!

Can’t believe you and Kayla have sweaters on . I’m in Louisiana and it’s still boiling and we are all still sweating. It’s horrible
I’m so sorry.
