- Aehr Test Systems' (AEHR) latest earnings update was just as they forecasted it would be: Revenue tanked 56% year-over-year.
Aehr’s products are cyclical, and with the diminished demand for test and burn-in systems, particularly for silicon carbide (SiC) chips used in electric vehicles (EVs), Aehr is in a bit of a slump. Customers are expected to take delivery of the company’s equipment for SiC chip manufacturing later this year.
But instead of focusing on the the poor results, Chip Stock Investor focuses on Aehr's potential growth areas, including the EV market, gallium nitride (GaN) semiconductors, silicon photonics, and memory chips for AI systems.

Well done thanks. Clear and no hype. EV bottom is THE key. The new areas should be seen as icing on the cake not as prime drivers to buy the stock in short to mid term.

Have AEHR as a long term buy and hold, and along with ON and ACLS love all three long term to participate in the silicon carbide growth cycle. Just about all the talk regarding silicon carbide is as it relates to EV's, but long term pretty much anything with a motor can eventually have SiC chips. A huge part of the market that no one talks about is HVAC industry and other industrials with large motors.

Current cost basis 19, it’s going to be a long LONG time to break even, I’m picking up some shares every now and then, we’ll see in a couple years. Thanks for giving AEHR a once over.

Another great video - have 3500 shares and can wait for the rebound. Also DCA in for more. One thing not mentioned in this video but I think I recall it in another was does AEHR have patents on the processes / technology they will be using when business peaks again. In other words do they have a safe moat?
