The postcard was of Elio's private spot, Monet's berm, the place they first kissed. On the back of it, Oliver had inscribed "Cor cordium," which is Latin for "heart of hearts." He then told Elio, "I've never said anything truer in my life to anyone." In other words, Elio was his most beloved...the love of his life.
