Full transparency: I do not own the CW 4005. However, as someone who plays against it in CW, the only nerf I think it needs is to its speed. It seems way too fast, especially compared to its WW2 brother. Even then the problem isn't with "a" FV 4005, its with three man platoons of them.
Finally, some love for us era 1 scrubs. I slightly disagree though. Because the problem with the FV4005 is that if your team has bad scout tank players and the other team doesn’t the FV4005 will be able to one bang you easy without you even seeing at the start of the game as it won’t get spotted, so a lot of the time you don’t even have a chance to react or shoot back before you’re dead Also this tank is way too fast for a tank destroyer. They need to reduce its speed at least
The 4005 is great in CW, it's also great to play against. Fire any round at it and you will pen. The 268 is better imo although iv always played it as a front line assault tank with various outcomes. Iv seen the players camping in the 268 and are incredibly difficult to dig out of a defensive position.
The only thing to fear in the 268 is god, vertical drops, and an HE to the ass from a 4005, (and even then there’s a solid chance it might hit the log)
I agree that the 268. has its good side, but remember that the DMP stat doesnt count the HESH damage. yes you can say "the 268. has HE rounds aswell" but the thing is, the 268 will never be as consistent in penetrating a vehicle with HE as the FV4005 with HESH, also keep in mind the caliber, if aimed right, anything blows whether its an ammo rack or the engine. Its also lethal for its capabilites of taking out crew/modules with the HESH rounds. The speed makes the tank able to race into position and be in place before most mediums in era 1. And yes you can say that the reload is long and people will take advantage of it, however if youve gotten yourself into a position where you can be rushed and are basically in open fire, then its not the tanks fault, its the driver. And maybe it doesnt one shot mid/top era 1 vehicles but it can damn well make them near a one tap for mostly anyone else if not killed by ammo explosion/being set on fire. And sure you can point out that it teaches a new player about round differences and limitations but theyve already learned this from the previous tanks being the charioteer and conway. I myself am not whining about the tank being too broken but there is a problem when the amount of ONE tank tells you abt your chances of winning that game **cough cough** FV4211 back when it was new. I just feel like while the tank has its drawbacks, a decent/good player can easily overwrite them by just putting pressure on the enemy before they get to react and dwindle down your team, so to isolate you. It was also mentioned "if played right, its a monster". That alone makes your arguments kinda... pointless (in my eyes)? Because, if the FV4005 is played right, it controlls the whole flank. It has the flexibility in terms of having a turret and gun depression making it so you dont have to over expose around a corner or over a ridge. And again, you say that the 268. has a 16 second reload however, 23 seconds (or whatever it can be brought down to) gives the enemy what, 7 seconds to think, act and retreat? and remember, with the flexebility, the FV4005 can easily out trade the 268. since it doesnt need to pull back slowly and angle back around a corner. Overall, the Fv4005 in my opinion wins more encounters compared to the 268. Sure the camo isnt brilliant but true vision is a thing, any semi experienced player in era 1 can just be on a look out for where a 268 would normally position itself, and if found, the poor guy has lost health from a range of 1150-1450 on average.
Just had to check, as yes i took a photo on my phone so my son believed me😅but around 2 months ago i passed the 10,000 mark for the first time with 10,723 Damage dealt and a not quite as great 6 kills in the 268, using all normal repair kits etc, no food or anything, i never do tbf. Its a very satisfying tank destroyer indeed.
I 💯 % agree! That’s exactly what I was thinking about yesterday when I have got 268. I think 268 is sooo underrated. One of best era 1 tanks. I love it ❤ This tank is like honeybadger.
Peak around the corner Got spotted Forget to retreat to hide longer than 3 seconds Get spunked for 1000+ damage from fv4005, sometimes still concealed after firing
Video is a little old but anyway. 4005 is broken. It needs major mobility and camo nerfs. I'm an old returning player after about 3yrs gone. This thing is basically Arty in CW. I see many of them sometimes 4 preside per game. Just Ruins the game. No one wants to push anywhere when they're about, turns in to a serious campfest.
While I would argue the 4005 actually has really good concealment once you have the camo net. You nailed the 268 and you actually forgot to mention it has the is7 hull. Making it a pain to hit if they are hull down
It does feel good to hit the fv4005 with he from the 268 for over 1100 from time to time. Unfortunately the he and even hesh in cold war is sketch at best. The amount of failure to pen he is downright painful. That and the shtbarn has broken camo values until it fires. Light tanks get out spotted on the move against it. That and it also has a better chance to snapshot you than the two destroyers before it, with the same bloom.
"You've got it wrong" is the "wrong" title. Even if we or you got it right or wrong, the video makes it looks easier then it is. Way to fast ( why 2 engine upgrades?? ) and insanely good with camo or sneaking up, while other playes getting spotted this one seems to stay hidden. Untill you feel that nasty sting and losing 80 % of your HP 😅 And even worse, when they throw 4 vs 4 on each team. As Arnie would say, hasta la vista!
The main complainers are the experience players using CW as an escape from WW2 Artillery. 3 man FV4005 platoons are annoying, but Era 1 needs a one shot delete tank or new players will be completely unprepared for Era 2. Love my Obj. 268 currently on the Conway.
I agree with you I love my 268 and play it more honestly then the 4005 have better games using it as an sniper/ assault tank, were the 4005 is a must have support and cant push with it without getting swarmed and killed.
See I think the reason why people like the CW FV4005 is because the FV4005 (Stage II) in WW2 is monster can two shot 10s easily though the FV215B 183 has better armour
These are my observations strictly from the target of those tanks side. The 268 is RARE, it is very slow, and the gun doesn’t even traverse 180 degrees. The 4005 is very fast, turns well for it’s size, and is in every match in numbers. 3 of them were grouped up yesterday and they just made a mockery of the team I was on. They were hyper aggressive and well coordinated. Could 3 really good players in another tank have done that? Maybe, but I haven’t seen it. The game is a game of trading, not DPS. High alpha rules until the numbers on the team get lopsided or you place yourself somewhere without support. I am guessing the skill cap on the 268 is a bit higher, and driven well it may be better, but nobody plays it. I am not saying the solution is to move the 4005. But it is a different kind of vehicle with a very feel bad mechanic, so people are going to bitch. I am working really hard not to race out of era one, but at least 1 game every night makes me feel like ditching it, and it is more often than not the 4005 at the root of the discontent. The rest of the time it is teams that just derp themselves into ditch. Anyway, love the content, see you Tuesday.
The main problem is that much of the time new people don’t know how to deal with it. Meaning they rush in, get banged and then run away during the reload. With my time playing the 4005, even a skilled m46 driver can deal with me If he plays hull down and moves around while once I’ve shot rushed and I can’t deal with it. But on the other hand I’ve seen m48’s that just play horribly and are punished for that
@@GlitchyGamers18 have it in ww2 and this is a huge thing in both the shitbarn and deathstar. The sheer alpha scares them away if they're inexperienced meaning even if you don't kill in one shot you usually get another

I find lights tend to eat both tanks for lunch in Era 1. If I don't gravy train you get dead

it doesn’t have the IS-7 hull it has the IS-8 hull if you remember that tank, its pretty old and they changed its name to the T-10.

I've had the 4005 for maby a year and half, never used it, whereas the object 268 i absolutely love 👌
Agree 100% but the FV4005 is a such a lot of fun if you know how to play it

How do you get 15 sec. I load with 18sec
The 268 is a beast, I set it up to ram.
268 is a fantastic td in CW & I thought it was good in ww2
Got this idea from the stream?
Your adverts are in German, I’m disappointed your video wasn’t in German
I’ll hire a translator just for you 😂
Thanks for the info. I was grinding for the 4005 and 268. Got the 268 just a few hours ago. Played 3 games and I love it.
The 4005 is just fun! Can't beat going out and destroying everyone. Love the 268 for exactly the reasons you mentioned.
268 can't handle 4005 in a 1v1
