I agree with you but every time Seul Ki asks about if he already decided, he always answers he's still thinking about it. That makes Seul Ki confused also about her decision and decided to go with JW as he is already decided since from the start. I guess JY already explains it why.
They like each other. She likes him more. She was sure that he's the one. But he didn't give her the assurance that she needed. So she picked the one that gave her 100% unwavering assurance. If i were her, i wouldn't have made that choice because i'm someone reckless who would just follow my heart regardless of the consequences & it often goes bad lol..but she is not reckless, she made the decision with her heart & her head. I love that for her..

To be honest, it goes bad either way. I accepted a guy who put me on a pedestal and gave me 100% assurance even though I had no feelings for him. I thought it was the safe choice. The relationship was emotionally draining and I was miserable having to pretend every day that I had feelings that I didn't. Eventually the guy started suspecting me of cheating on him and became controlling and imposing all kinds of restrictions on me. That didn't end well at all.

I wasnt playing with her but there were somethings i was concern about but ppl talk to be risky and just went for it. I liked spending time with her but it wasnt different than when i was with my friends. I think she knew that but didnt want to accept the truth. 4 months later i have a talk with her mom and told me she changed a lot of things just to match my schedule and spend money too on things she didnt need to just be more confident around me and other things about her behavior with her family and friends. So basically she was changing her personality and lifestyle just for me. I didnt know this bc she hide it from me she always bring out other topics. So i had to talk with her and just be honest about the relationship bc i didnt want her to change or sacrifice all these for me thats not how a relationship should be. He did admit to Seul-ki he tends to put his guard up at the start to which she promised to be patient. Yet, she ended up giving him mixed messages…like many women, Seul-ki gave in to trying to make JY jealous using JW. She succeeded too as JY did think she was happier with JIN woo.JY also wanted Seul-ki to win the wrestling match and purposely and bravely choose him but it wasn’t to be. Perhaps they are not each other’s destiny.

A drama like story. A military man with a humble background falling in love with a pianist from one of the richest family in Seoul. She loves him deeply and he loves her back but he is not good with words. Deeply conflicted because he knows the difference between their lives. Despite having a strong undeniable bond, they don't end up together due to sabotage by other people as well his inability to aggressively pursue her. He did make a stand but it was too late. She end up choosing the safe option who is a simp.
He should have shown his feelings a bit more, gave her reassurance. Also, I need to watch this movie! I already love it, but in the version I watch. Dex gets therapy, is able to communicate emotionally, is able to give the woman reassurance and he is able to step more into his masculine role. So, she chooses him.
Jinyoung lead that conversation asking Seulki what she was looking for in a romantic partner and even though Seulki took a flirty turn to that convo he was talking about his real life worries about his instability because of money and how he wouldn't be able to take care as he is not there in life yet. He is wanted to signal his current position and mostly that's what Seulgi took as a sign of rejection (I don't blame her). I didn't see that convo as him playing any sort of game but actually have a real life convo. It takes a lot to bring that level of realness to a frivolous dating show.
Tbh i think jinyoung was right to be honest with her BUT he should’ve followed it up with something reassuring. Like “oh i might not be as settled in my life, but i would still do my best to take care of you and our rship”. No girl wants to only hear insecurities, especially when their connection is already so shaky.
There’s really no need for over emotional lines, tears, & sugarcoated words when it’s the two of them. Literally just them breathing is enough to build the chemistry. Amazing 😢❤

So many different possibilities outside of the show. Sadly most relationships or couples formed from dating shows like this don’t last that long outside of it anyways. We were entertained, which was the main purpose of the show! So lets just enjoy whoever love story flutters or makes us giddy! No need to be serious about this. 😅For all we know the casts have already moved on and live their respective lives. At least each of them for sure learned a lot and have made some kind of relationship/friendship through the show.

Yes I agree what he did is admirable and unselfish. I just wish he convey it clearly and then it's up to Seulki to decide. He didn't even say he likes her until the final moment. He just said he hasn't decided. In fact he actually like her and wanted her to choose him after knowing about his worries and condition.
I think when JY asked her what his personalities are, he doubted about how much SK understands him. He knew they barely had a proper conversations at a deep level. He thinks she just have a crush on him without knowing the reality. That’s why he talked about his unstable work and life with hope she understands he is too concerned how much he can take care of the relationships in future. And it also give her a chance to rethink again about her choice at the end.
I 100% agree. He is honest and mature. When he goes to paradise with Nadine. They talk enough and when he return in inferno he wants to have such a deep conversation with her but she still flirty and answer like a girl who has crush (physicaly attracted). He understood at that moment that things wouldn't work between them bc they are not in the same page. Also he has noticed JongWoo and her have a long conversation so he was also a bit confuse. But i think he did the right choice to give up

I also observed that he was not very flirty at their last convo because he also wanted to assure himself and her that he is seriously looking for someone who is mentally and financially stable enough. It is not unmanly of him to say this at all, he could easily sugar coat his words to lure SK in. He is the realest show contestant I have seen.

You gave a great insight into their conversation here. Jinyoung did wondering why it's hard for them to start a conversation. Of course the chemistry is there and they like each other but they still barely know each other. They got no time, so he blurted about his instability to give Seulki a heads up and opportunity to rethink about her decision. I think he'll be comfortable telling Seulki upfront about his condition and up to Seulki to still choose him or not. But unfortunately Seulki took it as rejection and him being indecisive. Both need to improve their communication skills. Jinyoung definitely needs to express more and speak clearly. Actually Seulki too can ask the right question to Jinyoung because he'll answer anything honestly. I just think Nadine or maybe Seoeun are someone who will ask the right question in order to understand other people. Jinyoung wanted another paradise date because he knew they didn't have proper conversation. So little time and they cant spend more time to talk because both are too popular. I don't know why some people think he's a red flag. He's just handsome, charming, honest, considerate and thoughtful. I don't think he messed up....I think he acted very maturely and honestly.They both did have sparks in their relationship but Ji young couldn't see any future between them. Relationships is not merely based on attraction, both needs to adjust each other lifestyle, to which he might have thought impossible with seulki. She family is really very rich. I’m glad it didn’t work out. Although Jinyoung is confident in his looks, he’s not where he wants to be financially and career wise. Dating the daughter of a very famous plastic surgeon can be intimidating especially in a very status focused society like Korea. I’m sure he foresaw what would happen if he did get serious with her. To prevent both parties from getting hurt and more emotionally invested, he CHOSE to let her go.

my favorite couple ever. just to recap, during the conversation...seulki did her best to tell jin young that she wants to be with him indirectly. jin young wants it too but he feel insecure with his financial situation, he is serious with seulki. during the final, when he walked to her, we can see seulki smile brightly, but then change her facial expressions. i think, she thought about their last convo n didn't want to become a burden to jin young. coz when you love someone deeply, u tend to sacrifice urself. you want your other half be happy n you just let him go. just my thought...

Nothing wrong with being a barista it’s a decent job. I just don’t think its equal to Seulki’s “excellent background” though. Besides, owning a cafe in Seoul unless it’s one of those high end luxurious type does not cost a lot. Hence it became one of the most common type of business in SK. One article mentioned, “opening a cafe has become one of the most common businesses such that over 14,000 coffee shops newly open a year but one out of ten coffee stores often fails to make a profit along side with the rapid expansion. In short, you can be in middle class, no need to be rich, to own a cafe in SK.
These two had such main character vibes throughout the whole show fr. Quite literally stole most of the show's screentime lmao. I was genuinely surprised with Seulki's final decision but im overall happy with the show's conclusion. Clearly Seul-Ki didnt go with her heart in the end, Jinyoung actually cares for her a lot, and have only been honest with her the whole time, he has already started thinking about their future together, for this I really like Jinyong a lot, he is really cool and genuine, not trying to make a show for himself, Seul-Ki just chose an easy option because she is a princess character....
Jinyoung was only ever jealous with Seulki, said he like Jongwoo but really hates to her with him. I’m glad they actually had this little moments together that I would carry with me because I’m having hard time moving on although I was happy for Jongwoo
The show always made Jong-woo out as some kind of hero whose persistence finally won Seul-ki's heart like See-hoon did for Ji-yeon in S1, but I always felt that Jong-woo was much more creepy. See-hoon pined after Ji-yeon, but he pretty much left her alone up until the point that he picked her for Paradise, then he was incredibly respectful and made sure not to pressure her during their date. Jong-woo was very solicitous, but he was always hovering. He was practically stalking her. Maybe it's a cultural thing, I don't know, but I never thought of Jong-woo as a hero. Seul-ki made the choice that she knew would give her a 100% chance of a match, but her heart and mind were obviously on Jin-young.
I need some closure about this couple so badly! I honestly felt like I got interested in this show because of them. As much as I wanted Jinyoung and Seulki to be together, he just didn’t want to be with her. He liked her, but he didn’t see a future with her. As a man myself, if a man wants to be with you, he’ll let you know. He could’ve lied for the sake of the show to get that final scene but didn’t want to lead her on.

Jinyoung lead that conversation asking Seulki what she was looking for in a romantic partner and even though Seulki took a flirty turn to that convo he was talking about his real life worries about his instability because of money and how he wouldn't be able to take care as he is not there in life yet. He is wanted to signal his current position and mostly that's what Seulgi took as a sign of rejection (I don't blame her). I didn't see that convo as him playing any sort of game but actually have a real life convo. It takes a lot to bring that level of realness to a frivolous dating show.

Of course the chemistry is there and they like each other but they still barely know each other. They got no time, so he blurted about his instability to give Seulki a heads up and opportunity to rethink about her decision. I think he'll be comfortable telling Seulki upfront about his condition and up to Seulki to still choose him or not. But unfortunately Seulki took it as rejection and him being indecisive. Both need to improve their communication skills. Jinyoung definitely needs to express more and speak clearly. Actually Seulki too can ask the right question to Jinyoung because he'll answer anything honestly. I just think Nadine or maybe Seoeun are someone who will ask the right question in order to understand other people. Jinyoung wanted another paradise date because he knew they didn't have proper conversation. So little time and they cant spend more time to talk because both are too popular. I don't know why some people think he's a red flag. He's just handsome, charming, honest, considerate and thoughtful. I’m glad it didn’t work out. Although Jinyoung is confident in his looks, he’s not where he wants to be financially and career wise. Dating the daughter of a very famous plastic surgeon can be intimidating especially in a very status focused society like Korea. I’m sure he foresaw what would happen if he did get serious with her. To prevent both parties from getting hurt and more emotionally invested, he CHOSE to let her go.

my favorite couple ever. just to recap, during the conversation...seulki did her best to tell jin young that she wants to be with him indirectly. jin young wants it too but he feel insecure with his financial situation, he is serious with seulki. during the final, when he walked to her, we can see seulki smile brightly, but then change her facial expressions. i think, she thought about their last convo n didn't want to become a burden to jin young. coz when you love someone deeply, u tend to sacrifice urself. you want your other half be happy n you just let him go. just my thought...

Besides, owning a cafe in Seoul unless it’s one of those high end luxurious type does not cost a lot. Hence it became one of the most common type of business in SK. One article mentioned, “opening a cafe has become one of the most common businesses such that over 14,000 coffee shops newly open a year but one out of ten coffee stores often fails to make a profit along side with the rapid expansion. In short, you can be in middle class, no need to be rich, to own a cafe in SK.
These two had such main character vibes throughout the whole show fr. Quite literally stole most of the show's screentime lmao. I was genuinely surprised with Seulki's final decision but im overall happy with the show's conclusion. I wish the best for these two❤

The show always made Jong-woo out as some kind of hero whose persistence finally won Seul-ki's heart like See-hoon did for Ji-yeon in S1, but I always felt that Jong-woo was much more creepy. See-hoon pined after Ji-yeon, but he pretty much left her alone up until the point that he picked her for Paradise, then he was incredibly respectful and made sure not to pressure her during their date. Jong-woo was very solicitous, but he was always hovering. He was practically stalking her.
Maybe it's a cultural thing, I don't know, but I never thought of Jong-woo as a hero. Seul-ki made the choice that she knew would give her a 100% chance of a match, but her heart and mind were obviously on Jin-young.
I need some closure about this couple so badly! I honestly felt like I got interested in this show because of them. They had so much chemistry, were so cute together and it was clear they liked each other but I was so heartbroken when they didn't end up together :( why does it feel like I'm losing someone I love??
