Great review!! I just used mine for the first time today to make beef jerkey!! Had no idea what I was doing and cooked it at 180 on Air fry for 45 minutes. Both trays came out tender and amazing!! My husband is officially sold on Instant Pots! And I loved that it has a little light on it like an oven, makes it so easy to see what’s going on inside! 🥰
I have been watching videos on RUclips basically since it's inception. This is video has to be in the top five or eight of incomitance. How you managed to wedge so many personal references into an air fryer review is honestly, impressive. This level of self centeredness and self absorption borders on a mental illness.
You should absolutely wash your kid's clothes before they wear them. A lot of them have formaldehyde on them to prevent mildew and to preserve that "newness" during transport. You should also clean cooking products, especially metals, before you use them because there is often machine oil residue present from the manufacturing process.
Yes. Even joking, it's not a good idea to say not to do it - someone will do it and that will be the person that had machine oil residue - it is for our safety they tell us to wash it all. As for clothes, you have no idea who has tried them on before you bought them.
I too found myself in the comments after 40 some seconds. Ugh. Didn’t she say Instant Pot was her favorite appliance maker in the first 5 seconds?? Yeesh Negative Nancy
Yeah i have an apartment size kitchen so i put my "Insta" on a small bakers rack type thingy. Works well. It will make your kitchen hot. So if you live in the desert like me just be prepared but everything makes your kitchen hot when you live in the desert LOL. So far I love it we reheated some potato wedges we got from the pizza place and OMG those potato wedges were more crispy than when we bought them! Bomb!...PS really enjoyed video..cute n funny
I would bet this is a Southern girl who's always spoken her mind but with a sense of humor. I enjoyed the video and especially about her being a control freak.
Do you have a rotisserie set up and also a basket for things like shrimp poppers stuff like that that can go in the basket and turned themselves so you don’t have to get in there and turn them over
Just upgraded to the big one (havnt got it yet) but I upgraded cause my oven broke months ago and I love the air fryer. I’ll even cook taco meat and meat loaf, casseroles I use it for everything. Air fryer is the best thing invented (even if it is just a tiny convection oven)
I don’t see at all how she was being “negative”. You people in the comment section are sounding more negative than her, lol. I think she is fair and real.
She is sooooo negative. Yet she has no problem not washing all of the chemicals and nasty other stuff, off of the new clothes she buys for her kids, bcos she doesn't want to lose the newnest off of them??? Are you kidding me!!! Why would any of us take any reviews from this woman when she uses such very poor judgement with the safety of her kids. I can't continue watching this woman.
Great humor...really made my day...also trying to find out what meat can be cooked in the rotisserie basket...was thinking about buying this product to do wings in that basket.
I enjoyed the review...good comparisons together. Not sure if you were trying to be funny, but you made me laugh several times with your comments...LOL. Good stuff, Thank You.
I also have a rather small kitchen. I added a baker's rack for all of my larger gizmos and gadgets. It's only on my counter, owning it, when it's being used.
I think when the machine says turn food they really mean just exchange the trays, moving the bottom to the top, perhaps the middle (if used) on the bottom and bottom top to the bottom, I have a machine from Aldi's and its exactly the same, inside and out other than it never tells me to reheat it or turn my food and I cook steaks in it from Frozen but then mine is only an air fryer that I know of. But like you said its a convection oven as it circulates the heat. I liked the video. Subbed and Smashed the Bell for all!
Thank you for the review. I have been wondering about the Instant air fryer. It looks great but now I just have to decide if I want to give it space in my kitchen.
Love mine! You started out negative from the beginning with the Instant brand stating.. "They are proud....." Complaining about the size.. The sharp utensils ..
I resisted air fryers until about 6 months ago because I thought they were "glorified convection ovens." I finally got one and EVERYTHING tastes better coming out of that $60 hunk of plastic than it does from my $1,800 convection oven. I still don't understand why.
1:48 wtf? Your kids don't put their clothes in their mouth. These kitchen items go through different sets of chemical baths during manufacturering process.
Idk how anyone can wear brand new clothes, the smell is 🤢🤢 Also all appliances should be washed with soap and water to remove the super toxic chemicals
One other point...I had the XL Power one you have there with this review and it sucked! not just because it was small because it the 1st I had owned and it was a gift. It was crazy to clean, and not to long after just a few uses the paint came out of the bottom of the drawer under the copper basket. The drawer was always hard to close just right and it doesn't turn on for you if its not closed properly. The favorite thing I love about the unit I have now (WHICH AS I SAID IS NOT THE INSTA your showing) is that its easy to clean. The silver basket is the rotisserie but IMHO its way too small for anything but a quail. Chickens I've ever seen were to large to fit in there though I've never tried. UPDATE: Ha ha just watched someone else's review of this same AF and the basket is for Fries and stuff you don't want to have to keep turning. Th erotiserie is the SS Bar and those sharp things you about got stabbed with in the beginning of the box opening.
Nice presentation and good commentary along the way. I liked how the comparison was made between the two air fryers. But I would have liked to see accessories usage and demonstration of all the functions. Could have time lapsed certain things to allow for more educative content.
Thanks for the question. I have not tried using a batter on foods before air frying. I would suggest following a recipe for battered air-fried foods and prepare accordingly. This instant pot air fryer lid works the same as any air fryer. - Nicole
The top rack spot is too efficient as it is closer to the heating element. Just use the middle and bottom spots and rotate as suggested. The rotisserie basket is what sold me... I've used it for french fries, roasted peppers and onions and even chicken legs. This thing rocks... Preheat takes 5 minutes... You can even add food and preheat at the same time and just watch the last five minutes.
are you still happy w it? i want an airfryer purely so i can roast veggies in it but i can't find any examples for it, but in theory the basket should be great for it.. I only see fries done in the basket. I'd prefer not to flip food halfway through in a regular drawer type airfryer.
Put the wings that start off on the bottom tray skin side down. Then put the skin side up when you rotate the trays. And vice versa. Skin always goes up on the top try...😉😉
I have this same vortex and I have a 9x10 kitchen. I use this thing 2-3 times a day...IT IS WORTH THE SPACE 😘

Love mine. I've had it about 7 months now & use it every day. I have NO complaints.
"I don't have a very big kitchen" *Looks behind her at the HUGE KITCHEN* 😨😂
😂 Should have said, "not big enough for more kitchen appliances."
I don't think it's her kitchen she's using for the video?
she's just being modest lolllll!
I’m interested to fry oven but my kitchen is very small there is no a space for me lol 😂 🤣🤣
I was thinking that too..wit my baby size kitchen

Awesome! Thanks for sharing your story, Cheri!
Do you still like it??
There is a oven light you can use so you don’t have to open the door to check the chicken so the heat doesn’t leave the oven.
The kitchen probably isn't the safest place for someone that has so much drama opening a box.
I thought she was annoying too especially just opening the box
Why? Some boxes are harder to open
agreed
@@missshannonsunshine She has the power to edit the video... watching her struggle wasn't "funny"

Great 👍

Great review. Was trying to decide which air fryer to get, and you just solved the problem. Thanks.
I use my basket for my wings because you don’t need to stop and turn them
How many wings can you fit in the basket?
@@guriausa Both of them.
I also heard the rotating basket makes amazing fries since you dont have to turn them
That's gotta be a bit messy with sauced wings. Going to try it eitherway.

I actually just bought one. My local Walmart had them on closeout for $70. Used it twice and am impressed so far
which Walmart?
Which air fryer?
Got one from Macy's on Cyber Monday for $70 as well.
I bought one tonight in canada... For 89. Looked on amazon tonight, they wanted 305 plus shipping, not available with prime.

Does this unit have a 3 prong power cord?
Does this smoke up your home when you make rotisserie chicken or any other food that drip liquid or oils?

Santa brought me one and I already love it. Made the best crispy brussels sprouts in the rotating basket!
Ilona Edens Santa brought me one too, and I also LOVE it- I made tater tots and they were delightfully CRISPY.... I will have to try Brussel sprouts!
I try to use the middle and lower racks simultaneously but the middle rack always cooks but the bottom rack doesn't cook at all. Anybody have tips?
Try using the middle and top rack. That should help.

The reason the one rack looked better at the turn time is why you also rotate the racks... In any oven, heat distribution matters in crispy results.
The instruction manual says you need to rotate from top to medium after 15 minutes exactly because of it
She needs to read the directions before reviewing the air fryer ! Not a accurate review or fair. My big pet peeve !
Could you share what the smaller air fryer brand is that you were using?
can you use tin foil in the oven to contain the drippings?
Yes
I just bought one and your review was so helpful.
Awesome!
Like a toaster oven..bow about making toast ? thx
Just got mine. I've always wanted this type of Air Fryer rather than the basket.. however the only problem I see with this is it looks quite small.
You can load up the ones in the smaller one, they can stack, just need to shake it every once in a while.
You have a dishwasher?! 😲
