It's unclear to me why she's performing this composition. Her vocal skills are very average, to say the truth. It's her charisma that overrides it, probably.

Paradoxically, she sings the cover of Here I Go Again (sung shortly after) decidedly better than she sings a song she has already recorded. If she hired a vocal coach she could still do a lot. The illness certainly had its weight but the lack of care also did the rest, she is not very good at taking care of her gift.

Her voice has definitely decline. However, given the level of trauma her body has gone through, it’s remarkable she’s alone let alone singing at all
