- Mach Loop 2023 Compilation. I Wonder Which Is Your Favourite Pass?
So I ask you? Why Not Watch it, I'm sure you'll enjoy it, if you don't, let me know in the comments why you didn't enjoy it.
You can't beat seeing Pilots and their Aircraft low level training around the low fly structure known as the Mach Loop.
I was lucky enough in 2023, to capture F-35A, F-35B, A400M, Apache, Chinook, CV-22 Osprey, sadly the last flight of the RAF Hercules through the Mach Loop, came through as a 3 ship of C-130J, of course I managed to see quiet a few F-15E Strike Eagle, It was awesome to see the RAF Eurofighter Typhoon through there too, I must not forget the awesome sight of the RCAF F/A-18 Hornets, of course I got to see a lot of the local training aircraft too, and I briefly got to see a Dassault Rafale.
Sit back and enjoy my 2023 aviation compilation.
It's been a tough few months for me and the children, so it's time to spend some more quality time with them. Hopefully you'll enjoy my 2023 aviation compilation I've put together from some of the aircraft I managed to video and photograph throughout 2023.
Hopefully more of the same in 2024.

Hi everyone, this video is a compilation of my low level Mach Loop best bits from this year.
Thank you all for your support throughout the year.
Very grateful to achieve 100,000 subscribers.
Have a Great Christmas and New Year everyone.
Look forward to bringing you more of the same content in 2024.
Thanks
Darren
Cool video, for me the 2 x F35s at 1.20 - 1.30 going through the Cads practically inverted was the best pass for me.
Yeah, that was special.
Got to agree that second f35 and the brightly colored f15 felt like they were going for it that little bit more.
Brilliant video!!!! The 4 Typhoons for me or the F35 overbanking near upside down.
Amazing footage.
Yeah the 4 Typhoons were special, getting to watch the final RAF C-130 Hercules passes was also a special moment.
Favourite pass has to be the rare 4 ship RAF Typhoons, it was great to be there to see it
Yeah David, that was very special.
So good to have the Typhoons back charging through the loop. Def highlight for me up the mountains and in this video. Keep up the good work Darren!
Thank you, yes it's definitely awesome seeing them use the low fly structure around the Mach Loop again now.
All of them - Just Fabulous..
Cheers, thank you Richard.
The 50th Anniversary Eagle at 2:29 is historic!! Incredible shot! Especially at 2:31.
That image was very nice, the special livery was for the 70th year of the Fighter Wing, for the F15 to be still going strong after 50 years, that in itself shows how awesome the aircraft is.
Awww the Hercs ❤ still makes me feel sad but lovely to see ..Thankyou for sharing such great content with us Brilliant work
My pleasure Wendy, thanks so much for all you've done this year, I can't thank you enough.
Brilliant videos as ever 👍 the Chinook looked extremely low 👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks so much for saying that. It looks a lot lower than it was.
The real question: What % of the subscribers are the military pilots that are flying in the videos. Great videos as usual.
Thank you. I doubt they have time to watch RUclips videos
@@DarrenEdwardsAviation Just the old ones! … sadly, never got to fly the Mach Loop…
I think there will be one or two in here.
They probably have their own channels with videos of photographers on hillsides. 😊
That would be incorrect. They have time to look at RUclips videos, being ex Military at a blurred out face level, if U understand what l mean. We would get people trying to film us on operations an after everything died down we would ask the person if he had any good footage to send it to us. An we got 3 different videos of us doing certain things. Of course our faces are covered but we knew who was who. An our unit really enjoyed seeing ourselves, an reliving the Op. So l can virtually guarantee that they would Definitely like to see there flying through the Mach Loop. Especially in reference to Oww l could of done that a bit cleaner, or that was a bit lazy on the pull, that's a pilot term. So they would Definitely like to look at the footage.
3:18 and The Hurcules is my top pic. Perhaps not the top one for everyone, but as I ridden in one a couple of times and it was a piece of history, it gets my vote. One that isn't included, which would be a top pic, was the back seat giving you the Hawaiian wave. I'm not sure if he was one of those with the stuffed toy or not. Wasn't there a longer one with you in the sights of the helicopter? But asked to pic one, then that's my choice. Thank you for all you do for the channel. Being a hiker in the Peak District, I know how you feel each time you hike up to these elevations. So thank you for everything you do to bring this awesome footage to us and Merry Christmas to you and yours.🤶☃️🎄🎅
Thanks so much Chris, The Hercules photos I'll cherish, There wasn't many people who captured the 3 of them like I managed, quiet a few had 2 Hercules in the frame, but not 3. I took a lot of images this year which are worthy of going on the wall in the house, problem is, I'd have to spend so much money on getting them printed off and framed up.
I bet flying around in one of them was special. Thanks so much for taking time out of your day to watch my video content, so glad to have some genuine subscribers, you being one of them.
Hopefully I pay a few visits there next year to bring more content to the channel.
Have a Merry Christmas from the Children and Myself.
My favourite? So hard to choose.....but probably the 4 Ship Typhoons at around 8:15....Da Iawn Darren!!
Thanks Steve, It's one of my favourites as I wasn't sure if a 4 ship of Typhoons had ever been through there before, before that, plus I'd messed up their first past, so was extremely happy to see them coming back around from Barmouth direction.
Awesome video again Darren #machloop #f35 #f15 #usaf
Cheers, thanks David, catch you on the hills in 2024.
Love the Typhoons, neat looking aircraft 😮
Yeah for sure.
Great Video Darren, Happy New Year to and see you soon
Thanks, Elwyn, Happy New Year to you and your family. Catch you on the hills in the coming months.
That was a action packed video hero 👍👍
Cheers thanks.
Amazing shots. I'm so happy that you share your immense talent with us.
Thank you so much, Stefan.
SUPERB!!!!!!
Thanks so much.
I love them all, but seeing the 3 Hercs flying is my favorite. Spent some time flying and jumping from them many years ago.
Wow, awesome, obviously the RAF had their reasons to retire them, it was a sad day seeing going through there one last time, so glad I was there to witness and capture it.
The Canadian F-18s, and just seeing the RAF fast jets in the loop
Top video as always Darren
Thanks David, that was a massive bonus getting the Typhoons and RAF F35s through.
Absolutely magnificent as they are literally hard to choose from but all of them are golden moments if 2023 🤩😎
Cheers, thanks Douglas, it was a good year.
@@DarrenEdwardsAviation haha that is awesome and onwards 2024 and have A great year ahead Darren !!! Still a bucket list to go to Match Loop in future.😁😎
And yourself, Douglas, have a great year, hopefully one day you can visit there.
@@DarrenEdwardsAviation hehe indeed Darren 😎
Love 'em all, but my faves are the ones that go more than 90 degrees of bank. Showboating at its finest!!
Yeah that was nice, slightly over banked, but quickly corrected, I've got a photograph of it up on the wall.
All of them But the F 15s are my favorites
Wonderful video, thank you for what you do! My favorite was the business size jet trundling through with probably a general or two inside giggling with excitement!
I'm glad you enjoyed it, thanks so much for watching.
All of them!
Awesome
0:20 and 1:30 have got to be up there as the best passes on this compilation.
How many visits this year Darren or have you lost count? 😂 Five visits for me and it has been a good year especially with the Return of the RAF Typhoons since the middle of the year and also the RAF Marham F-35b’s are starting to become regular visitors to the Welsh hills.
Good stuff Darren, Merry Xmas and a happy new year - Here is to many more visits in 2024! 🍺🎅🏼🎄
Cheers, they certainly are eye openers. I was actually up there less last year compared to the previous few years.
@@DarrenEdwardsAviation I thought I’d get more in myself Darren. I need a job at that fellas place on the forums who’s posted he’s got 8 weeks holiday next year - any jobs going pal? lol 😂
Yeah, for sure, if I lived near the area I’d never be in work.
What an incredible year for the Mach loop. So grateful for you sharing all of your hard work with us!
I hate to choose a favorite so I'll go with the most impactful pass.
That's gotta be the three HERCs making their way through.
I'll never forget it.
The typhoons were really something too!
They come in second, but only by a hair!
Thanks again for all of the amazing footage this year!
Looking forward to see what happens in '24!
Happy holidays to you and yours!
Thank you, it was an excellent year. The Herc pass was iconic, but sad too, knowing it was their farewell flypast through the Mach Loop. Thanks again for watching, have a great Christmas.
that F 35 at 1:25 was my favorite, just because of the pilot rolling it to the extremes! Close second on that group of Typhoons at the end, disappearing behind the mountain as they play follow the leader. Great stuff!
Cheers, thanks, the F35 pass was special, Ive got a nice photo of it set in acrylic on the wall in the house.
Seeing the 4 Typhoons was also a special moment.
The legendary CH47 👍🏻
Brilliant ! Thanks and regards from Costa Rica 😎
Thanks for watching!
The flight of three Hercules at 3:12 was awesome
It was a sad day, but amazing to see
Great footage! The three Hercs pass is the best!
Yeah that was iconic, and very sad to see, knowing it was their farewell final pass.
Oh yeah 🇺🇸👍👍
Cheers
Nice compilation Darren.
Have a happy 2024 👍
Cheers Dafydd, you too have a great 2024. See you on the hills in the coming months.
Great video Darren the 3 RAF Hercules was really good to get them so close together but ever pass is very good.
Sending you love from Dublin for all of you're videos😊
Thanks so much, Andy. The 3 Hercules were a special moment, which I'm glad I didn't muck up.
Haha so am i, na you do lovely work my friend😁
Thank you.
The Gazelle was cool. Really impressed with the Typhoons. I haven't really gotten caught up in t F35 thing, but they look a lot more impressive flying than they do static.
Yeah, it was very nice to capture the Gazelle. It was extremely cool to capture the Typhoons again.
The F35 looks an extremely nimble aircraft.
The F-15 still at 1:18 and the F-35 inverted turn at 1:31 !
Cheers, Scott, that image was very nice, only topped on the day by the images of the F15 going through the valley wiith the photographers in the foreground. I'm sure you've already watched that video of mine which includes those photos in it.
1:27 for sure
Yeah that Pass was special, I manged to capture it a few times during the slight over bank, currently it's the only image I've got up on the wall in the house.
I really admire the F35's, but the good old F15's are still my favorites!
Yeah, for sure.
6:43 f-18!!
It would be funny to see one plane / jet fly by with "Hi mom" painted on it.
Probably wouldn't be allow
Best pass for me are the three hercs passing.
Yeah, for sure it was a sad but special day to see them going through there.
Gotta be the 4 typhoons at the end
A Special moment for me that was.
The Grippen or Typhon which ever one it is...Nice looking jet.
Probably the Eurofighter Typhoon.
Thanks get well soon ..Lemsip fund
Thank you Wendy, you really shouldn't go out of your way to give me money. You are so kind, I can't thank you enough.
Regards
Darren
Sikosky twin rotor, they don't always turn on a dime😊
Favorites ...? All of them.
Cheers, thanks
Helicopter scaring the sheep...
I would like to purchase a Poster size picture of the F-15 @ time stamp 1:19. With the vortices coming off the wings. Would this be possible?? Always luved that fighter. An having a father in the Airforce l got to go to many Bases an see many different fighter jets up close. An being ex military myself l would Luv to Purchase this picture at 1:19 of the F-15. Please let me know if this is possible. Thank you Mr Edwards. Very much Hope to hear from you in the future.

Thanks Darren
8min25 seconds wow
Quality passes they were.
I have been and probably will always be partial to F-18s, I dunno why. I also love all the other unique aircraft going through the loop, like the Apache. However, 15s dominate Mach Loop, in my opinion.
Yeah, it's something else just being able to see aircraft training low level. Special moments.
Did my eyes deceive me. Was there a French Raphael in the video.
No, you did briefly see a French Rafale. It's just a shame I was a little too low for it, and it was getting dark.
I wana go here from Japan but,
Do they fly every day except holiday or day off?
If someone know I want the answer.
they are all fantastic -- but the F-35's are my all time faves!
Yeah, thanks, they certainly growing on me.
