One thing that always grabbed me about Todd ,was that " apathetic-type" look he has whole singing songs that were from the heart.God help me,I could relate to that beyond hurt look!!Well done Todd!!!
Todd Rundgren's musical talent was/is unbelievable. Beautiful voice, otherworldly songwriting, incredible guitar player, amazing producer, great piano player, synth wizard, and very solid drummer and bass player. Just mind blowing. I'm sure there's probably even more things he's great at too but that's all I know.
Todd deserves to be in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame the guy was/is a genius. UTOPIA was excellent, unfortunately they didn't have a long series of hits that would get the attention of the R&R HOF voters - but they remain popular with actual musicians and die hard fans.
Had a friend tell me recently that he HATES Todds music…But,….he listens to Classic Rock (REO..Styx,Journey ,Segar etc) all the time…so..I guess there is no accounting for taste!

After the way RHOF under acknowledged Eddie Van Halen this year, I'm thinking Todd has too much class and intelligence to be recognized by them.
Well he got inducted into the Rock and roll Hall of Fame this year but he didn't perform so he's the class of 2021

Saw him perform this last night at The Orpheum in Boston. 44 years after this clip and he sounded better than ever. This song is an anthem!
