"Tell Sidney: he never got me."
So badass.
I will tell Sidney he got her
Yup , she coming back to handle business once and for all
@@davidpratt87no.
No, it was cringy dialogue.
@@LFAFinFilmshe said this because 1 she was bleeding out and losing consciousness. Also, sidney would come seeking vengeance like she did with dewy. Gale wanted to protect her and her own ego. Gale, like the rest of characters, don’t want to be killed by ghostface
One of the funniest scenes. "Can you hold please?" "Wha-"
Quinn was trolled. XD
😂😂😂
Crazy how that was never done before, but I wasn’t expecting it😭
@Watch with strawberries Ye I was like that couldn’t be quinn you see how ghostface leaped over that couch lol
@Keith’s cinema yep exactly !
The theater audience reaction to this scene was simply AMAZING. When ghostface stabs Gale with the glass everyone lost it!!!
I think it was a second knife
EDIT: Nvm I see I’m wrong, it’s glass
I was worried that this was the last time Gale was appearing in the Scream series. But Courteney did say in an interview that Gale is immortal and if Scream 7 is greenlit then we might be seeing more of her. But she is gonna reach her 60s too so how much will Gale endure with all this?
@@animetechnoblade1009 no it was glass shard he grabbed from breaking the table. At first I thought it was a second knife.
At my theater everyone laughed whenever someone got stabbed or killed which pissed me off
@@animetechnoblade1009 nope it's glass
Gale was a badass in this scene. She fought hard and didn't have an issue going down without a fight. She overcame so much and I hope in 7, we see more of her journey. Her trauma gets overlooked too much.
That’s one of the things I’m definitely loving about the new movies. Out of the core 3, Gale gets more focused on to not only give Sam/Tara support through their own trauma, but also more insight to her past and how she’ll be moving forward without Dewey & Sydney.
Will there be scream 7?
I felt so sad for her when Ghostface started taunting her about Dewey 😥.
@@kallias.3503 Most likely, Scream 6 was very well recieved critically, made lots of money, and they have the momentum to make another movie, as there's so much to see with Sam and Tara as the new protagonists of Scream.
@@animetechnoblade1009 Sidney is coming back for Scream 7.
Hands down, one of the best scenes in the entire franchise. It was an emotional rollercoaster as you didn't know whether Gale would live or die. The audiences' reaction when Gale got stabbed with the glass and thinking if that was it was perfect. They knew how to play with their emotions in this scene. Gale really delivered in this scene and was her best scene.
Yeah this scene and the opening scene of scream 1 is my fav in the entire franchise
Gale could still die though. Not trying to compare 2 different universes, but remember in the show Power
At the end of Season 5, Ghosts girlfriend Angela is shot by Tommy. We all though she died then and there but the show runner said she is alive and will be in season # 6. While she appeared in the opening of episode 1 season 6, Angela died within the first ten minutes of the episode. So it's a possibility that Gale could die off screen before 7 even comes out.
@@flyingsolotiltheend3058 well they said that she was going to be okay at the end of the 6th one so I highly doubt they would make her survive this attack just to kill her off between movies
X2 se me vino ala imagen de gale desde scream 1 hasta la 4 fue un momento melancolico
The choreography for this scene is probably the best in the entire franchise.
Literally best chase/fight scene!
@@noahmatthews-cremomb2562 best fight? Yes, but not the best chase. The best chase is actually the other one that Gale almost gets killed.
This and Scream 2, camera work was outstanding and suspensful
It's so suspenseful. I was on the edge of my seat
I love Gale in this scene. "Could you hold please?" Then uses the redial last call button to find out where to start throwing bullets. Even though this is her first time talking to the killer on the phone she's barely phased. She's been there and done that.
Sid did the same in 3
*fazed
Sidney's was more iconic in 5 when she said I'm bored.

This scene almost made me tear up. After Dewey, I was like “not her too!”
Same here 💔
We can't lose Gale, too.😢
Same here. I definitely almost shed some man tears.
🤛👎
Same! I love that it was her most brutal encounter yet. This is exactly the kind of attack Gale needed 6 movies in. Gave us that quick fake out moment to wonder "oh god did she die 😭" before letting us know she was okay. This scene holds the same kind of vibe and emotion we need on an attack scene with Sidney too. I really hope they can get her on board for 7 💕
Can we appreciate that Gale was the first person to ever attempt to unmask the killer during a fight, Casey was the only one who succeeded but Gale still tried
@Evelyn Gomez she did unmask him. Look at her face before he stabs her. She recognizes the killers

Sidney kinda did the same in scream 3
@@Vergil1876Sidney definitely did the same thing. Only difference was Sidney was hiding from Ghostface while hitting redial to launch HER sneak attack on him seeking her out.
I love how both Sidney & Gale don't constantly make dumb decisions like other people in Horror movies💀
@@imKahlONG tho like i can name bunch of ppl
Sam’s reaction is everything. It’s like she’s worried her new found mother figure would die. Love this bit of relationship between characters and Melissa’s performance really makes this movie.
Not to mention that her acting has improved greately compared to the previous scream
I have a huge question: why do people alert the killer when they have the upper hand? Like in this scene, she has the gun and all she has to do is point and shoot, but instead she has to call his attention, alerting him, and allowing him to run away...
Same with the convenience store scene where the clerk has the shotgun pointed at the killer and he yells alerting the killer instead of just shooting. And before people say "the clerk didn't really want to kill the villain, he just wanted to threaten him"... why? The villain already killed two people in plain sight of everybody, it is best to assume that he was going to kill everybody and just use deadly force.
smh that's movie logic for you. I wish Sam would've aimed for the head an shot instead of calling his attention. But the script needed the killer to get away unscathed, or rather that killer in particular
@@cashewnuttel9054 she wasn't worried about that all she wanted to do was get him away from gale she was more worried about gale dying then killing him and that's understandable gale was losing strength to hold his KNIFE back
@@cashewnuttel9054 to keep the plot line moving. It'd be a pretty short movie if ghost face was killed in the convenience store.
The way she tried to take his mask off was the smartest thing besides hitting redial.

At least Gale survives after a "weak pulse", meaning she still lives with a slow heart beat. I'm happy that she lives.
1:32 I literally started tearing up here, I thought it was the end for Gale but I'm glad that she survived like she always does 🥺
"Jeez, Gale, you've got more lives than a cat!"
Cotton was right.
Me too I literally was so teary eyed in the theatres!
She should have died!
Stabbed 3 times with one being a giant piece of glass in the stomach but somehow lives? For example, look at the first film as Dewey was stabbed once in the back and they were considering killing him off from that.
I know and I'm also sad 😢 that Sydney wasn't in this movie she would of helped Tara and Sam defeat the killers and help gale 😢❤
The reason why Sam was so emotional about Gale in this scene is because of their convo in the shrine. Sam was starting to see Gale as a mother figure and losing her second "mother" was so devastating.
You are making it up
@@andriyemilio7896 Making what up clown? The proof is in the movie.

What I love about this whole sequence is that Courteney did her own stunts.. shes an amazing actress and this sequence alone shows that.
Honestly this scene with Gale made me appreciate her the most, and I'm glad this movie gave us a tiny glimpse into who Gale is, we rarely ever talk about her or her trauma!

This is as close to death as Gale has ever been in the franchise history but Ghostface has never got her!
poor gale 😢
So next to all the wasted opportunities they say was there for Kirby, Gale's usage caused quite a bit of stir. A large part of Gale's character was Dewey being her morality pet as well as being a self-absorbed reporter first.
When Billy and Stu were the Ghostfaces, there was a mutual attraction but a part of Gale was manipulating and using him. During the spree of Nancy and Mickey, it was only his words that made Gale feel remorse and while she felt guilt over Randy's death it was Dewey she told that to and they worked together to try and find Ghostface which resulted in a makeout session with Dewey getting handsy. There was even the way she mentioned Tatum dying compared to Kenny. When Ghostface critically wounded Dewey, Gale was devastated but upon seeing him alive opted to go with him rather than report the murder spree. While she was more than happy to nurse him back to health, it showed that Gale could not handle a quiet and uneventful which broke them up and strained their friendship. Despite this, they continued to work together to catch the new Ghostface (Roman) and watch each other's backs. It mended their relationship enough that Dewey asked for Gale to become his wife which she accepted.
That conflicting lifestyle once again came into play during their decade long marriage. Gale was attempting to write fiction but could not pull it off and suffered from a writer's block. Her wanting to help catch the new Ghostfaces (Jill and Charlie) was attempting to get the creative juices back and do the right thing. It strained her marriage with Dewey but it was mended after Gale was attacked. After Jill and Charlie were defeated and killed, Gale had the opportunity to get her morning show in New York City and Dewey went with her. He was unable to handle the exciting and eventful life which resulted in him leaving in the middle of the night after 2 months without a goodbye and the end of their marriage. His reunion with Gale years later was an overall warm and amciable one despite that. In fact, Gale only really came back to check on Dewey and that was proven. They were just too different and incompatible to be husband and wife but not to be friends. They weren't failures for getting a divorce. It's better that than they hate each other for foricbly trying to make a dying marriage work.
Her devasation towards Dewey's death was very real and her deciding to help put an end to the new Ghostfaces' (Amber and Richie) murder spree was to avenge him with Sidney allowing her the honor of killing Amber. While she promised to write about Dewey's life after the Ghostfaces were defeated, the grief was clearly too much for her to face which was why she betrayed Samantha by writing about Amber and Richie. It was utterly disappointing but this is the first time Gale experienced deep grief while Sidney and Dewey were used to that feeling. Gale writing what she did about Samantha suggested that she had buried resentment towards her over his death even if she knew who Dewey was. The Carpenter half-sister's reaction to seeing her and what they both said to her made her feel guilt and said that they did not regress Gale's character. They all agreed on Sidney earning her happy ending and not being involved in the new murder spree was part of it. The interaction rang more as daughters angry at their mother but Gale's actions were part of her greiving process. Even her new boyfriend was to run from her grief as indicated by her barely reacting to his corpse (As well as needing to find Ghostface.) compared to Ghostface taunting her over Dewey's death. She knew Dewey was a one of a kind man better than anyone and could not be replaced.
As for this scene, Gale was 32 in 1996 so now she's 58 or 59 pushing her 60s. There's also the fact that she took her fair share of injuries against Ghostface so she would not be as agile, fast, or strong as before. Gale promised to help catch Ghostface and they were at a stalemate once she got her pistol but to kill them she needed to see what to aim at hence going outside as Ghostface would not be stupid enough to come to her. After her injuries were dealt, there was no way she'd be able to reach her pistol and aim it properly in time once Ghostface was stunned. Getting the knife was safer but pity she was a second too slow with the stab. I appreciate that while they didn't kill Gale off, they had her come the closest she ever came to being killed by Ghostface.
Gale is a true fighter! She can hit back at anyone
I love the way gale threw ghostface on the glass table😊
Gale was so awesome in this scene. The bit at 0:58 with Ghostface crawling toward her and bringing the knife down like that is terrifying. She was smart at almost every turn - from hanging up and redialing to even small bits like stepping on Ghostface's hand when she went to grab the knife... to immediately attempting to go for the kill. She played it like someone who has over 26 years of experience in the franchise. I would have hated if she died here, but if she had, she would have went out as a smart fighter.
Odd how she never appears in the rest of the film, though. Not even a glimpse of her in the hospital recovering or anything. Just drops out of the film completely with barely a passing-by mention at the very end.
She survived. They mention her survival towards the end of the film. So they do mention her.
She’s such a badass girl. I love her, sometimes more than Sidney. She’s never afraid and She fought very hard and She deserved to survive. “Tell Sidney he never got me”. I love that line.
Congratulation on winning best fight at MTV awards ❤

I love how Ghost Face is always so damn clumsy lol. Really when you think about it, it's completely understandable to be that clumsy in such a mask as they're legit hard to see in.
I really like seeing the Ghostfaces being legitimately confused: here and when Sydney claimed she was “bored” were great.
No kidding, when I saw Ghostface stabbing Gale I yelled "NO!" and nearly jumped out of my seat! I calmed down only after hearing about the weak pulse
This scene was so intense but so sad. Tara trying to pull Sam away broke me
Gale is the smartest among all of them. She hold the killer while on the call then she attempt to redial the caller to know where the killer is.
GHOSTFACE was trying to succeed in what Nancy Loomis failed to do, those many years ago: KILL GALE WEATHERS. The day that Ms. Loomis killed Randy Meeks, Gale Weathers was the target that day and the only reason why Randy got killed was because he answered Gale’s cellphone, became the bait, spoke poorly about Billy Loomis (which Ms. Loomis didn’t take very well), and Ms. Loomis decided to kill Randy instead and save Gale Weathers for another day. So, in this movie, this particular scene is reversed, while all the characters were distracted at the park, Gale is free and clear to be easily killed. Unfortunately, GHOSTFACE failed…again.
Uf the moment when she holds the knife in the last second... FIRE 🔥

When you realize the 12 individual villains across three decades of these films have identical personality, manorisms and speech patterns on the phone regardless of never having met or speaking to the previous ghost face.
Of course, every villain take classes with the others by the news and the history of the kills
Im assuming all of them disregarding billy and stu watched the first “stab” movie in the scream universe and just piggybacked off those phone conversations and mannerisms in order to stay true to the original as its ghostface’s signature move. It would be believable since the phone calls were traced from the 1st film and included in the “stab” movie since Gale probably got her hands on those phone calls. Thats the only theory I have although in this Scream movie, they did say they didn’t care for the movies so im not sure.
