The planet is at a tipping point. Global temperatures are rising and extreme weather events are becoming more frequent. Scientists tell us we need to keep global warming to below 1.5% or risk doing irreversible harm to our planet.
The eyes of the world are on Glasgow, where world leaders will set out their plan of action. But the Climate Crisis will require all of us to rise to the challenge - and the role of technology will be critical.
Already tech is helping in the development of greener, cleaner energy. Innovation is driving down carbon emissions across industries. Conservation efforts are more effective thanks to recent advances in technologies including AI and cloud.
But there’s more technology can do. We need the right infrastructure, investment and skills if we are to rise to the global challenge we face.
