@@DeLadysigner To answer some of your questions DeLady, I started this zoo in December shortly after I bought PZ and finished it in April when the SEA pack came out, so it took about 4 months. There are no mesh pieces in the zoo, the only thing I've done since April is add the Africa pack animals in. If we ever get birds (pleeeeeease!) then I will go back and do all the aviaries again! The zoo today is so different to 1985, I was there last week and it is really, really good now. If I had more time I would definitely also do the Zoo as it is today but I'm too busy building my own zoo!

I went to the London zoo recently and theres so much similarities! Of course it has improved a lot since then, but there are definitely some of the habitats like the penguin pool - currently unused and a newer one built - which is really cool

There’s a picture of Queen Elizabeth II ( then Princess Elizabeth ) in the penguin pool feeding them also a picture from 1980 observing the elephants inside the enclosure.
London zoo has so much history, definitely a read.. especially when all the animals were evacuated to Whipsnade Zoo in World War II!

We need sticks, and leaf litter and hollow logs that we can put in enclosures. I have seen a mod pack where they took all the exhibit enrichment items and made them peaceable objects
You can use the leaf bedding & log tunnel enrichment items for 2 of those, not sure about sticks

The reason the wolves' enclosure is greener than everywhere else is it was just a cage in Regent's Park

Maybe the animals who aren't there are mods. There have changed a lot in Zoos since 1985. But we should not forget that many animals (out of Zoos) especially chicken still have a relative bad life and a terrible death (even in this days).
Offtopic: Love your videos very much (especially your own zoos). But this night I was falling in love with my own zoo again. I'm not able to play Planet Zoo, but I are still playing the oldest Zoo Tycoon 1. Have there a new Bird Parc with 49 kind of birds (all of them selfmade). Have five species storks, three species cranes, two species pelicans, two species grouse, three species partridges, two species Rosellas, two species Flamingo and many other birds. And I have "Eve the Harpy (selfmade too) a mythic creature, half bird half woman. Have hundreds of selfmade palms, trees, bushes, flowers, grasses too. Its my best zoo ever (I#m especially in love with my Black Necked Swans and the Flamingos) and now my very crazy idea:

The big advantage of Zoo Tycoon 1 is, that you can make all of your selfmade animals deathless (but unfortunately it mostly works only for the males (except my Geese and Peafowls for Example).
In real life we have five chicken and a proud roaster (offtopic). And a male cat.
How do you take photo in planet zoo?
In theory the next pack would be North America... can you have a North America pack without bald eagles and wild turkeys??? So obviously we will get aviaries right? Please?!🤞🤞🤞
You missed dall sheep, clouded leopards and Bornean orangutans.
You have a good eye! There were also Tigers opposite the Cheetahs and pygmy hippos & rhinos next to the elephants. It's really hard to see everything as the zoo was designed piece by piece since 1826 so there's no real route round it
@@ZSHplays I didn't notice those. I did notice that the skipped a couple of habitats near the giraffes, but she didn't get close enough for me to see what was in them.

ZSH is my tag so I put it in, it's a jokey spin on ZSL which I came up with in 3 seconds for my franchise the day I bought Planet Zoo & now I'm stuck with it forever😄

I built this for a month & then deleted the whole map & started again, learning from your mistakes is the best way!
I know that you probably weren’t agreeable with the reindeer’s enclosure where they had a concrete floor, but you must know, this was 1985 so people were still getting used to making better enclosures so I’m sure it may have taken a little time to realize that concrete floors may not be the best thing for ungulates.

Obviously I know ;) Ive been building a City Zoo myself for over 1,5 years now on the channel, which is also inspired by older habitats ;)
Fun fact: During the Zoo's first planning stages (1975), they were planning on adding exhibits for animals found nowhere else at the time.
Such examples include; polar bears, Orcas, Moa birds & Tasmanian Tigers.
Even Pygmy Elephats from Sicily and bizarrely enough, a Unicorn....

@@DeLadysigner you would have thought even back then that they would have done some research on wild animals and the natural habits they live in before building and creating a zoo but maybe Animal Husbandry wasn't a very popular career back then in the 80's a Bush-Baby would be a perfect walkthrough exhibit animal for this game
