Actually I have seen several that went from full-time to part time. KYD, Changing Lanes, Less Junk-More Journey, to name a few notables. I would say that statistically most of those who started fulltime RV'ing (YT Channels that is) slid back to part time. I mean all those that I mentioned spend a lot of time on the road still, but they went from living out of their RV full time, to having both sticks and bricks as well as an RV. Its okay though...nothing wrong with it. I love RV'ing and have been non-stop from the days as a young teenager with my parents in the early 70's to where I am today. RV'ing is a lifestyle but not my only lifestyle. I love to travel in my rig, but I love to go cruising, rent cabins, and just stay home.....I have several friends with RV's and we are out all the time but we also do other things to travel too.
Paving new paths is another one .
We have seen some of those who look like they are quitting but it was click bait. Cheesy. 😂
Hey Dustin and Leslie. We had to stop fulltiming for a bit. We found an rv resort here in myrtle beach that has annual sites. $900/mo plus electric. It has a Waterpark, the whole 9 yards. I feel it puts tto to shame. Is there someplace like that near where you are going to be? Might be worth looking into. You would have the best of both worlds, stationary except when you want to go. I wish you guys all the best. Rembrandt you only have 18 summers with those grandbabies!!!
Plz don’t take this wrong. I am a 70 yr old grandma. My kids have their own lives and as my grandsons get older the whole family have their lives. I have made so many changes in my life to be closer to the grandkids and my kids but their lives keep moving on, in a different direction. Finally I realized to make decisions for myself because let’s say i move closer to them they could decide to move elsewhere. May not be your situation but they do have their own lives which doesn’t necessarily consider you. I still have a relationship with all of them but not making decisions regarding my life according to them anymore and it is such a relief. I’m not chasing anymore but enjoying every minute with them to the fullest. I am full time rving too.
They are never leaving Alabama- that's a fact. They are young and need our help, so we are going to help. Never going to watch my family struggle while we live it up on the road. We can always travel when things get better for them financially and don't need our help anymore. We're young enough to pause and come back 😊
I would have through hell and back to stay with my granddaughter. She’s now grown and married, no babies.
My wife and I and 44 and 41 yrs old recently became empty testers as our youngest son, of 6 boys, moved out and on his own.. were going crazy with just the 2 of us in the house now, trying to figure out how to live for the 2 of us, we take our rv out and camp, etc.. we'd like to travel some, but having our kids and now 5 grandkids keeps us waiting around, we're not sure what to do with ourselves 🤷♂️😀.. we rented a camper van for a week to see if we like a van vs a travel trailer? Or use both.. idk..lol.. it's so wierd being in this situation, even though we planned this, having our kids young, now we're here and lost ..
You are going to love seeing that grand baby on a regular basis and you are gonna have great memories with her and your daughter. You won’t regret it. And, when she’s older and doing her own thing, you can always pick it up again. Love you guys! Appreciate your videos.

We full timed for 5 years. Got to see the 48 contiguous states by RV and loved almost all of the time on the road. Then the grandkids came, and our focus changed. We downsized to a smaller RV to travel and love this life too.

We didn't get to see all of the states by RV but we still plan to do some traveling.
You are making the right decision. Family is so important, and being a grandparent is the best part of life. We had 8 years of travel and used the rv to travel back and forth between VA and Enterprize, AL, where our grandchildren lived and still traveled out west. It was such a great life. While out west, my husband was diagnosed with cancer. We were forced to sell our truck and fifth wheel and find a place to rent while he received treatment. Had to buy all the furnishings again and buy a vehicle that was comfortable for him to ride in while going through treatment. Sadly, my husband passed away in March. It was a wonderful life and so glad we had that time on the road. Best of everything to you both.❤

I’m watching another family that just gave up RV life for a different path. We have been watching them renovate and furnish a house they purchased. It’s been so fun to stay with them! Hope you keep this channel going whatever you choose to do! Good luck to you!

It’s a hard decision, we are down sizing are home buying land and moving us and the family closer together so we can all leave and return freely live on the same land so we can all help each other and still travel. We’ve been trying to sell some land to be able to achieve this dream and everything is in the air because nothing is confirmed so it makes us think it’s never going to happen and open up the door of doubt. We are in this holding period. 😫🤯 Are grandkids and daughter take numerous trips in the year with us so we will still be any-timer’s. But right now taking the summer off to get this all worked out is hard I feel your pain. 😢😢😢

Very sorry to see the end of this adventure.
But we moved across the country to be with our grandchild and daughter and be there to support them as much as possible.
Being a grandparent is the single greatest joy of our lives and we regret nothing.
We also sold everything and had to start from scratch in our new home.

As a grandpa of 17 grandchildren who are spread around this great country I believe you are doing the right thing, we got into the RV lifestyle so we could travel and see all of them

When your granddaughter was born, I had a feeling that would be the sole reason your lifestyle would change. These are her most formative years and I'm sure you want to be a participant and not just a bystander in her growth journey. Thank you for all the heart and soul you've put into your videos. Just found your sight by accident. We are a retired military family can understand your spot in that respect. We did not chose to RV full-time though it was discussed. Being stable was tough in the beginning, we got used to it but still traveled, lots of camping. Now after second retirement we have a travel trailer and get away. When that baby gets older she will love get away with grandpa and grandma, you will make new memories. Good luck with your new adventures.

We have a 11 month old granddaughter, I love being able to be around her . . . especially at this age, because as she gets older she will get busier. There will be grief, because there is a loss of what you know . . . but these are also new beginnings that will also have great opportunities and adventures! Best wishes!!

We are so grateful that we are able to travel while we are still working remote. I feel like this is a season of like that will change once grandkids come along. We are able to retain our house as well and spend our summers in Michigan.

All transitions can be tough, but no doubt you are making the right call in following your hearts, much as you did when you started your full time RV life five years ago. My g'kids are the reason why I can't go ON the road full time, so we just enjoy the few weeks and weekends we can get out there, and even take them with us on occasion. Paving New Paths gave up full time with their 3 kids because of their RV frame problem and bought an abandoned house they are in the process of renovating. It’s been very interesting and I am glad they have taken us along in their new life path. Family always comes first! We go about 6 weeks thru the spring to fall and that’s enough camping for us. Good luck to you guys and keep us updated!

We totally get it! Seasons of life, family, priorities, it all is constantly changing. We’ve loved RVing so long now that that’s why we chose a less expensive fixer and have been slowly working on that while we enjoy our travels too. You guys can always get another RV later and join all us part-timers! 😃 Relationships always come first, even over experiences, because if you have no one to experience all these things with then what’s it all worth? You’re doing the right thing. And you have a big enough audience now, your channel will continue to do well, even if the video topics bump outside of the RV niche a bit. We’ll be sticking around to see what y’all are up to! 😊

We got off the road and stopped contnet creation last winter. We are still living in the RV until Fall. Spending more time with Family also became more important for us.

It makes me sad that you aren't traveling anymore. But I understand. I've wondered what we would do when/if our boys might have children what we would do.

Being around family, especially grandchildren, is our greatest joy! Best wishes for this new chapter.
I spent 20 years in the military and my kids didn't get to spend much time with their grandparents. And I didn't get to see much of my parents. Now that I'm a grandparent, I don't want to be away for very long from my grown kids and grandkids. My wife and I are happy to go out with our camper seven or eight times a year. Sometimes our grown kids and grandkids come along. We could never be full timers. I applaud anyone who is currently doing it or has done it. It would be a great experience. But not being around our family would suck. You had a good run, now you're moving on to the next chapter of your life. And the experiences you had full timing you will never forget. Good luck.

My Wife and I wanted to say that we have followed you both for quite some time. In fact you were one of the YouTubing folks that inspired us to go full time and see our wonderful country. We left our grandchildren to enjoy this adventure. It is incredibly difficult to leave them. So we totally understand your wanting to be there for your family and grandchild. Good for y’all, every chapter of life is a new beginning. We just hung it up after 5 years full time and are loving the opportunities our new life is providing. Best wishes to all that comes with this change!

😅so sad, but happy for y’all we have 4 grandchildren and enjoy them very much. God puts us where he wants us to be, and I’m sure y’all will be fine. Don’t stop with the videos because of honoring the fallen veterans. We are in Southeast Georgia and would have loved to meet y’all still maybe one of theses days. We are planning to rv in the next couple of years for at least 6 months out of the year. Leslie you’re right there’s a point when grandparents aren’t cool, then y’all can get back out there. Y’all take care of each other and enjoy your family remember we love you guys!
