Kickass performance! Had the extreme pleasure of chatting with Mick Jones at a local independent record store in 2002 when Carbon/Silicon was formed. Such a talented, kind man.
My sisters boyfriend at the time won me and my brother tickets for the Higher Power tour in 1994 (iirc). It was an amazing show in a small venue and i literally sat on the speaker for the entire show, staring up at Mick and the band, awesome memory. What made it so awesome was post-show we went out back and Mick came out to enter the bus they were in. He said, "I am covered in sweat, give me minute" It was pouring rain, but we waited, 10 or 15 minutes later he came back out of the bus, he stayed out with Me, my brother and sister, and her boyfriend, and just talked with us for close to 2 hours. Just shooting the shit, and chatting it up with fans. he was amazed at my younger brothers knowledge of his music as we were 113 and 14, and he said he thought kids our age "liked green day." Such an amazing gift and the memory of our 13th and 14th B-day (me and my bro are a year 3 days apart in age) couldn't be better as I am 44 now and remember it clearly. Thanks Mick and B.A.D. as my parents just were getting divorced (among other shitty-ness) and this was a highlight of joy in a pretty dark time.
