God bless your son and the volunteers who are going out and helping out to those in need. Praying for all who have been affected by this terrible hurricane.
Oh my goodness! Thank your son Wesley for me for helping out on beech. I’m from Avery and the devastation there has just been horrible. I have heard from family and friends that sugar was bad as well!
My church is from east Tn and has been to Poplar Nc this week with supplies, cleared out roads and cleaned homes. These poor people said they were the first outsiders they’ve seen since the floods. They’ve also been to several little towns in Nc that have not had any help or supplies brought to them. It’s so amazing seeing everyone come together to help those in need 🤍
Lindy…thank you for being a voice for many. I’ve tried to explain that a hurricane doesn’t normally impact areas of the US as this one has. The damage is literally unheard of. I think people can’t put it into context. I can’t hear the distress in your voice. I lived in Moore Oklahoma and we went through the 99 tornado. It was horrific but the swathe was nothing in comparison to Helene. Can I ask if I can share your posts to other social media platforms? I feel it’s important that others to see and hear the reality of the situation. Love and strength sent to all ❤
Lindy, I commend you for what you are doing to help your fellow neighbours! As you know, I live in Ontario, Canada. We usually get the remnants of the hurricanes that come up through the States. Nothing, of course, at all like what has happened in your neck of the woods. I would love for you to do the second channel, as you mentioned. Thank you for the updates!! 💕
Hey yeah, if you started a homesteading and preparedness channel that would ROCK!! Please do it soon! I've been following the horrible situation in NC not really reported by national media but more through a few I follow such as PermaPasturesFarm and his son ThePermaCultureConsultant, and also Andy & Megan at True Grit Appalachia, and Danny and Wanda at Pecan Grove. Thanks for all you do @Southern Lady 🔥just gave to wine2water great people thank you, your son's a brick, and all his friends responding immediately you folks are amazing, thanks for spreading the message and love and also letting us know of even more organizations like W2W that I never heard of ! ❤
Thank you Lindy for the update and for helping those in need! I’m praying for all those impacted by this catastrophic storm and for those now helping with relief efforts such as you and your son. My Mom is going to be on her way down there, traveling from Connecticut, to help with relief efforts. She works with another Christian organization and will be cooking for all those working hard to help with relief efforts. I wish I could join her myself to give support on the frontlines. I’ve lived in Florida for the past 9 years and the amount of devastation this state sees during hurricane season is unbelievable, but it is truly shocking what has happened North of us there in Tennessee and North Carolina. There was very little warning for y’all and you were hit so hard. My heart goes out to those communities and I’ll be doing what I can to support from here! I would very much love to join the new community you’re looking to build centered around preparedness & homesteading. I think that’s a wonderful idea and your wealth of knowledge on the topics would bless so many Lindy! Thank you for all you do and are doing! I’m sure the majority of us are grateful for the updates and for your kindred spirit looking to help others always.
Your Mama is coming from Connecticut?! Wow! That made me tear up. Please thank her for me. Bless her! And I am so glad you like the idea of a second channel. I will work on that. Thank you for your great comment.
Im from North Carolina, and I like your ASMR but I also agree with your attitude that it doesn't feel right to do ASMR when we have people dying Ive seen stuff both on Twitter and IRL and it is bad
Good morning Lindy, you’re absolutely right they are not televising this as they should. I don’t hear about it as much in New Jersey or Pennsylvania for that Matter. I did find it on one news station not sure which one it was. It wasn’t a major television station. It was probably on the weather channel and we were watching it and I was like oh my God we could not believe how bad it was because they aren’t showing much of it on the news I’m going to send you a donation. Let you decide how it should be used. I know you want us to follow protocol and send it to the Nonprofit organization that’s helping out but since I’m so busy with my mom, I’m just going send directly to you because I know you’ll put it to good use❤I just don’t have the time with all these things that are going on with my Mom. I never knew how exhausting this would be. I Absolutely I’m not getting any sleep except for last night. It is very difficult When you’re the person in charge of somebody’s life….So I am praying for everybody Affected in this tragedy and you are so about being prepared….we don’t really have hurricane storms like that here in the north not even snow anymore the winters are so much more mild. Half the time you don’t even need a winter coat…but lived through hurricane in Florida. Charlie came in 2004. I said the same thing your son said this is like a war zone… thats exactly what it looks like and feels like it’s unbelievable to see a places like your home and everything around you destroyed with such destruction that can happen all in a matter of a an hour. 😮Have a great weekend, Lindy , my sweet friend I hope Your son is safe as well and his girlfriend and parents. I’m praying for all of them.Love to all!!! Esme’🤎🍁🎃 PS you raised a fantastic family, your husband and yourself you should you both should be commended as parents and for showing a great example to your children to everybody else thank you!!! Your the best💕💕💕
@@Southernladyasmr ditto Lindy I am glad you came into my life!! You bring so much Sunshine to me and unfortunately the broken world we live in 🌎🫶✌️you make it a better place.
4:16 I live 10 minutes from the beach in nc and WE were caught off guard. We prep everytime a storm is on the way but this time it caught everyone by surprise. (My job flooded, my dad's house almost flooded, most of the roads are still damaged). I know, it's nothing compared to what's going on westward. I'm just saying even us seasoned coastal people were caught by surprised.
You know, I was so caught up in what was happening in the Western part of the state that I didn't even realize the Eastern part had issues as well. Phew! It's overwhelming and I have woken up from sleep several times thinking "did that REALLY happen?" It seems like a nightmare.
@Southernladyasmr for the most part we are ok in the east. (I think, at least nothing like in western nc). The roads are still damaged and there's houses falling into the ocean up in the outer banks but that's all I've heard. You have a lot on your plate already!
God bless your son and the volunteers who are going out and helping out to those in need. Praying for all who have been affected by this terrible hurricane.
Thank you so much.
You can tell how well you've raised your kids by how they are jumping in to help those poor people darling ❤❤❤❤❤
I appreciate that.
Homesteading and preparedness channel ... YES!!!
Ok! Working on that. I'll be in touch.
Just donated to WTW! Thank you for providing information for us wanting to help.
Great! Thank you SO much!

I would love Homesteading and Preparedness Chanel. 🎉❤ Prayers going out to those affected by the hurricane. Thank you for enlightening us❤
Oh boy! Thanks Coco! And the prayers are so appreciated.
I would love to hear your ideas on preparedness and sustainability.
This is great! Thanks Susan.

I certainly will! Yes, I drove through the Sugar Mountain area yesterday, on our way to Banner Elk, and it was a mess all around there as well.

Oh wow! Bless the folks from your church coming to help.
I had no idea how terrible it was. I found out because of you! Keep spreading the word Lindy!! 💗
Thank you, Katie!
Same here! Thank you Lindy (and YES, I'm very interested in a homesteading/preparedness channel)! Bless your family and all those affected 💜
