The first one is Metro 2033 and the 2nd is Metro last light. Redux is just the remastered of both games. Metro 2033 is based more on the book than they go off on their own. I loved all of them. My favorite is probably metro exodus due to its more open world and letting you do what you want. The other two are more linear story driven. All 3 have multiple endings. Also love all 3 deadspace I can't wait for the original creator to make their spiritual sucessor
Spiritual successor? Original creator? Which games did the original creator make? And this spiritual successor? Where is it taking place in the timeline? Is it starting out from where the 3rd game ended or is it starting off earlier? Is it rendering any of the other games non canon? So many questions...
I remember playing Dead Space one but that was awhile ago so I don’t remember much but getting attacked and chased by Necromorphs or whatever they are called. 😂
Is the Metro Redux books about the lore behind the Metro Exodus Universe/ games? If that’s the case, I would actually be really interested. The Battletech stuff also sounds good as well. What Battletech books do you recommend for beginners?
Unfortunately I haven't read enough of them to really know that. These 3 books are the only ones I can recommend right now (as, to be honest, most of the other books I remember reading still confuse me when I recall them.) These books take place right at the end of the initial Clan War and right at the beginning of a Civil War that erupts across the Inner Sphere (and helps to explain just why the Inner Sphere isn't as prepared as they should be when the Clan's invade again.) So, timeline wise, these books aren't the worst place to start as they don't land right in the middle of any major events, but right at the end of one and at the beginning of another, and as long as you know that ahead of time, I'd recommend them to beginners, but I'd still read up on some lore or watch some lore videos at least explaining some information about the different factions and whatnot, that way you have some context going in. I had none of that when I first got into BattleTech and I still loved these books as I've stated numerous times before (I mean, these 3 books literally got me into Science Fiction and that arguably changed my life forever,) so despite missing context, I obviously still loved them, but I'd still recommend the average reader get some contextual lore first.
Unfortunately, I know little about Metro lore besides what I learned in the first video game, I've never picked up a Metro book and know nothing about them.

Thinking about playing Dead Space 1 still gives me anxiety, lolz.
