- Boris Johnson faced Keir Starmer amid the mass resignation of Tory MPs that started on Tuesday evening with the letters of the chancellor Rishi Sunak, and the health secretary Sajid Javid.
Another blow to the prime minister happened on Wednesday morning, when Will Quince tendered his resignation after wrongly claiming the prime minister was not aware of “specific” allegations made against the former chief whip.

Labour may be right when they say we need a new Government. We need a strong Government at the moment to tackle our massive problems, but the last people we need in charge are Starmer and Rayner.
