Very nice. I uploaded a video of the Chinook Salmon run on the American River in CA, but I did not have any underwater shots. That effect really helps tell the story very well. I came from a village on Oak Orchard Creek (River) that empties into Lake Ontario. Never knew there was a salmon run on that creek. Thanks for the great video!
We quite happy with the Backscatter product. Nice lens, threaded housing and a number of filters/accessories are now available from the company. We are currently using Canon XF300's and XF100's above water and the Canon 7D, Sony Z1U and GoPro Hero 2's underwater. Most of the posted fishing videos are GoPro whereas the diving videos are 7D and Z1U. Thanks again for your interest.
Thanks very much for the feedback and suggestions. I missed the main Spring steelhead run here but will be shooting the Fall trout and salmon runs. Also doing some interesting film work with a local hatchery that will uploaded here in the fall when the hatchery fish are released.
bigbossbro part was filmed in the main park and the rest further upstream in Lowville Park. Very different conditions this year with lower water levels and lots of trees down restricting the flow. It seemed like a much smaller run that far upstream. Thanks for watching!
@AnotherAmateur Great video! This one was shot primarily in Bronte Creek, Ontario, Canada. And the underwater footage was GoPro with Eye of Mine lens. Thanks for the comments!
Amazing footage! I come from a village on Oak Orchard Creek, is this far from there?. I just shot the fall Chinook Salmon run here in CA. (On the American River.) No underwater shots though. (What did you use for those?) Hope you'll take a look. Thanks for a great video!
Thanks for that heads up. looks like a better option. "Are all of your videos filmed with just Go Pro cameras or are you using other cameras also" I'm curious as well

Wow, that is quite the budget for the underwater cameras plus the housings...Someday I'd like to get that involved.
Looks like fun, they're fun on a fly rod. I've guided on that river in the spring and fall for steelhead and salmon.

Thanks pkpaulkersey. We missed filming the run this year but will definitely be back out next year for the trout and salmon runs.
Awesome!!!
That was taken with the Pro version. We've since switched to the Backscatter glass lens with filter threads.

Impressed with that Eye of Mine lens. Is that the standard or the pro version?
Are all of your videos filmed with just Go Pro cameras or are you using other cameras also. Amazing footage. I look forward to more of your videos
Great footage
Did you buy one of those expensive casing for the 7D? (They ones that cost almost as much as the 7D itself?)
