This video shows the REAL difference between HDR and SDR without compression or loss. Comparing HDR Rec.2020 to the SDR Rec.709 version, and witness the stunning differences in color and detail (when the grading was done right). Immerse yourself in the future of cinematic excellence... * Can be viewed in HDR in Chrome/Edge/Opera but not in Firefox. Dont forget to turn on HDR in the Windows display settings.. 🎥✨

In case you wonder how much is lost with RUclips Compression. Still images are VERY easy to encode and there's practically no loss at all.
Here are some comparisons of RUclips VP9 HDR encoding vs Original Bluray Remux: slow.pics/c/pp...
🔍 Understanding the Approach:
The SDR version retains its original colors and dynamic range, residing in an HDR container to allow for an unbiased evaluation. On the other hand, the HDR version remains untouched, presenting the original 4K HDR Blu-ray experience. It's all about providing you with an accurate assessment of the visual disparities between these two formats. Keep in mind that the average Joe watches SDR on a non-calibrated TV at 200nits+. This video shows the original SDR 100nits range as it was graded.
🖥️ Device Compatibility:
For an authentic evaluation, I recommend watching this video on HDR-compatible devices. Feel the difference as HDR technology unfolds, showcasing its full potential. If your display doesn't support HDR, RUclips will tone map the images to SDR(compress to 100nits) which is far from ideal.

Oh, this is going to be fantastic! Very pleased that David Fincher is working through his film catalogs bringing everything up to date :)
Hello,
I am trying to find the exact command promt how I can analyze and visualize the rpu layer with dovi.script but I didnt find.
Could you please write here the command or the link where I find it?
Workflow 6-3 or 6-4 to plot the DV RPU.
@@RESET_-bg7kw Thank you! It worked! :)
Still waiting for my HD copy to upgrade to 4K and Dolby Vision in AppleTV. I bought it when it was $5, same with “Se7en.” I’m just not feeling it with physical media anymore, and Sony is being scummy with the forced Steelbooks.
Should upgrade soon... PS: It will be in much higher quality on the Movies Anywhere app.
