Not being a native speaker in English, I still wonder what they're singing in the second bridge. All the websites for lyrics say it's "...winter waves, crust and break..." and then, "And Massachusetts base, and guess cast out to sea and gone for good". To me, it sounds more like "crest" (yep, that's a verb, and a fitting one). And then, "I'm now [/there], so choose your base, and kiss-a-dou(bt) to sea". But the latter still doesn't make sense to me. Can anyone clarify? Ty!
