As an avid crime reader and fan, this was my 5th festival in 6 yrs in Harrogate and my 8th in total (including Bristol and Reading). The only shame was having no time to get out and see the beauty of Harrogate - simply no time ! There really is nothing more fun or exciting than all the different activities, day and evening, and especially the highlight, the late night quiz. Atmosphere is so relaxed you can talk to any of the authors, any time, no snootiness. I remember I was standing there just out of shot where Eddie Izzard is seen arriving at the hotel, everybody went to meet him. All great fun.
