You should consider mentioning places in Scotland that were used for "The Wicker man"; that was a bold movie.

Another good one is The Black Church from In the Mouth Of Madness. The movie wasn't too scary but that shot showing the church is unsettling as hell

😂 I had to laugh when I saw the comments you posted. You actually showed one of mine! Would still love to see one about Alaska!

Thank you for not including Centralia PA for being the inspiration for Silent Hill. That one is way overdone.

Need a Part 2, there are a few more places that should be recognized. Martha's Vineyard from Jaws, for instance.

I've been to most of the places in Washington that the ring was filmed at. It was kinda creep but still super cool to see.

The Oak Alley Plantation was also appears to be the inspiration for the Braithwaite Manor in Red Dead Redemption 2.

Fun fact: I live about 6 blocks from the rounded house from The Hand That Rocks the Cradle (I think it was the doctor's house in the movie. Been a while since I saw it).

I never liked being in Washington State. I know its incredibly beautiful, but the constant fog and drizzle made me feel kind of down....I like rain, but not every single day! It's the same reason I didn't like upper Northern California. My sister lived in Humboldt county (bigfoot country) for years, and it was foggy the entire time. I went to the place they filmed the classic tv movie, "Salem's Lot" in the 70s. I still love that movie! Visiting the actual cemetary where some of the scariest scenes were filmed, and it was actually terrifying during the day! It's a real, old cemetery and very haunted!

Well, this past summer here in Seattle, we hit 108 degrees. Broke the all-time heat record for the city. I was so happy when I woke up today and saw wet ground and clouds outside. It's the best weather we've had in like 8 months.

Wow! I cannot imagine that heat there!! I grew up in Palo Alto, California and we never had an air conditioner because it never got past 80. But I've heard it's all screwed up now, and the weather is broiling in the summer. Now I'm in Texas and last week the heat index was 110. It was on 96 but so humid!! Like swimming underwater. All summer I have been going running around 5 am, just to be able to get out during the coolest part of the day and the dawn breeze. I don't know how my amigos run at noon in this humid stew!!

6/6/06 was my 32nd birthday. I went to go see the "Omen" remake that night. I was hoping I'd be transformed into a hideous and powerful beast. All that happened was being slightly disappointed by the movie though.

My sympathies to you for discovering that you are not the antichrist on your 32nd birthday and for that rather disappointing film.
