Thanks man!! Steering wheel is Grant 414 challenger GT Black, there is also a chrome version. Steering adapter I got from ebay, I just checked for part numbers, our Pepboys Auto parts sell it look for 74 thru 94 Chevy Gm truck, C-10, S-10 suburban. It fit as you saw in the video.
Just FYI friend, you may have a fuel pump that is going to go out in the near future. If you get 50PSI, that is enough to keep the engine running, but will have difficulties in starting. With the key on, it should be around 56-62PSI for normal start. Just as a precaution, replace the fuel filter too and re-check since the fuel filter is cheap. Otherwise, you know your fuel pump is going to shit the bed on you.
I already installed a walbro 250 liters per minute and have a video on my channel installing it. That's why I knew the regulator needed replacement. Fuel filter was changed K&N after the pump. The sonoma runs great now.
@@MIC-LS Understood. Just leaving a comment that hopefully those searching for help know what to look for, and a friendly reminder on the pump as its a common enough problem that causes prolonged starts, constant fast turnover when the engine is hot and started again, etc. thanks for the video
Before you replaced the fuel pressure regulator, did the truck give you trouble starting, im trying to figure out if this is what’s wrong with my truck
Will this not make my truck start. Just put new fuel pump and filter. Still won't start cranks but don't pump works gas in the line has in fliter removed pumped and gas came out of the lines just to make sure and now still won't start
Things to look for, fuel pump relay,, crank position sensor, fuel regulator, a bad wire ( connection) to fuel pump/positive wire or ground wire and or a bad signal from CPU all can be tested with a 12 volt test light except fuel regulator. Also clogged fuel injectors will not allow fuel to pass thru, injectors can be tested with a 9 volt battery, when testing injectors listen for clicking sound when powering up. Just a few pointers.
Nope because this engine is in a 1995 GMC sonoma, and I have a Holley Terminator, my new videos will show a new Holley Hi-Rise intake manifold and VS racing turbo. So Nope no codes.
@Ivan Moreno correct fuel pump psi spec is higher than 50 and what you say; not measured by return pressure, are you a special needs person? Does it make you feel better to make derogatory remarks? Get some help.
My check engine light just came up .. i scanned it and it was Code P0300 (Random Misfire Detected) so I'm going to start by replacing the Fuel Pressure Regulatlor EDIT: 2002 Silverado 1500 4x4 5.3
@@naomismith1714 well I ended up replacing the fuel pressure regulator and the mass air flow sensor and it was good up until about a month ago the same code popped back up, im going to try the spark plugs and coils now but I did that a little over a year ago so I don't think its that
@@goodlife5825 I did my plugs and wires and coils and I’m still having the same issue. So I’m thinking it’s the fuel pressure regulator which sucks because mine is inside my fuel tank so now I have to drop my tank. Been through hell trying to figure this out. Good luck to you!
@@goodlife5825 I have a 04 Chevy avalanche 1500 2wd it’s been a nightmare trying to figure out why it’s throwing the code. My issue is I don’t wanna drop that much money into dropping the tank and all that if it’s not the problem you know?
That tip about the O-rings -- exactly what someone would run into their first time doing this. Excellent!

Thanks. You showed a real life look at the what’s and ifs of the FPR replacement.
Great tip on making sure you get all the old O-Rings out .
Thanks 👍
Thank you very much I went nuts because I didn't see the little o-ring stuck inside
Glad to have helped.
That lil clip is a big part too that really hold it in place if it’s on wrong that shit will spray every where
Good job. In finding the ring..I would shoved it in there and messed up.
Thanks for the video.
You are Welcome.
Great video man really enjoyed it
Thank you!!!!
Thank you
You're welcome
Man the replacement regulator went in easy for you. Mines fighting.. I took out the old o ring and still the new one is fighting to go in
Thank you for the compliment. While holding the camera no less, but again thanks!!! Good luck man.
@@MIC-LS think I got it in lol. Thanks
CANT under stand why i can get that damn clamp over the regulator
Imagine installing the clamp while holding the camera and doing this youtube vid.
@@MIC-LS thanks for making the video man. It helped me when I did this job a while back
Hey just curious wat grant steering wheel and adapter you used!? Great video thanks for all the great content have learned alot from all these vids

Thank you!!.
@Ivan Moreno 4.8, 5.3, and 6.0 are all 55-62psi.
Does the little o-ring go back in?
Yes, the new little o-ring goes in. I did not pay attention and was trying to shove 2 small o-rings in. It only requires 1 small and 1 big o-ring.

No I decided to change it, due to LS swapping my Sonoma and I wanted everything new, even the fuel pump is new.

You need a pick to get out small O-Ring wich you forgot to pull out 😅
Yes sir
Thank you for the comment!
If the new has 2 o ring than the old one will too
My 08 avalanche 5.3 doesn’t have one of those 🥺
It would have nice if it did.

below 50 psi pressure indicates a weak fuel pump
