the reason peanut died at the end of game 2 is because most special attacks on startup carry your momentum in air, so he used his side special which has no drag and glided off stage, because he is used to little mac's recovery which side special launches you forward immediately

Yea unlike Jolt Haymaker which overrides any momentum, Dancing Blades just reduces air speed and fall speed iirc

Traphood looked so good against a pretty sharp roy, then looks so lost against that menacing little mac.
As a PT main myself, I wish Traphood would have stayed on Squirtle the entire time when facing Little Mac. Little Mac is just too quick for Ivysaur and Charizard (especially Peanut's Little Mac). I still don't think Traphood would have won, but I think he would have performed better had he done so.
Zard can compete with his speed too.
@@memenatsuki2577 It's not about speed - it's about quickness: there's a subtle but significant difference. Charizard is fast, but he's not quick. Squirtle is the only Pokemon in Smash who can compete with Little Mac's quickness.

Zard is very great vs lmac. Like almost everything Mac does becomes unsafe on shield and zard advantage goes doodoo on Mac. Even ivy works but Not without platforms to Hop around.
I think Zard was the call, quick out of shield options and probably the best choice to live against macs attacks, while being able to put him off stage the best too
