i loved the way you film and edit videos. it gives me peace & motivation to complete my chores too. have a great day Christine! absolutely enjoyed it (:
Hi Christine! Normally I love your videos, but I wanted to share some important information with you about countertop "composters" like Lomi (note: I have a master's degree in public policy w/ a focus on energy policy, so I promise I'm not just some nutjob!). I just wanted to point out that, from an energy consumption and emissions perspective, countertop "composters" like Lomi (which don't actually compost, but instead use an enormous amount of energy to dehydrate and pulverize food waste) actually end up consuming more energy -- and thus contribute more carbon emissions -- than they prevent. There've been quite a few similar products like Lomi over the years, all of which ended up being debunked as, frankly, useless. The only real way to compost is to use a space like your beautiful backyard to do something like vermicomposting 😊Happy to share more information if you're interested! Love your channel!!
I'll bring that question to Pela to check their stance as well! I personally wasn't successful with vermicomposting in my apartment and don't have access to a backyard (what you might've seen is my parents' place, so it's not as accessible to us). I would like to think that the Lomi team did their due diligence with this issue with emissions though, but will check. Thanks!
@@simplybychristine Great idea 😊I have no doubt that the people over at Pela have the very best intentions, as do you -- it really just comes down to energy consumption and the corresponding carbon emissions, which in this case likely outweigh the benefits of reduced methane emissions... unless you get all your power from solar or wind, of course!
An answer from the Pela team for you Thomas, as well as anyone else who is looking for more info on the Lomi - "Technology can’t ever replace what mother nature is already good at. Lomi is a good alternative, for those that cannot compost outdoors. While there have been products in the past that do just grind up and dehydrate food waste, Lomi’s patent pending technology adds in oxygen and moisture to truly start the composting process within a cycle. It also uses less than 1 kWh per cycle and we’re looking at evolving Lomi to include energy tracking in the future If you have any questions feel free to email us at hello@pela.earth" - hope this helps!
Enjoyed this video. So relaxing to watch. I love the background music too. I comeback for ideas on how to get by with my own home. ❤️ Thanks, Christine!
Always such good vibes on your channel - love your content, Christine! Wish you lived closer to me in Australia so I could try your cookies :) Take care & God bless
Yup if you don't have too much then there probably isn't a huge need! We tend to have a lot of produce scraps though after cooking, so it works well for us (:
@@priscillajimenez27 the only fresh food we eat is meat and potatoes (including skins) and no waste there. When we do cook with veggies it’s frozen so no waste either. We will only have the occasional skin from an onion or garlic 😊

Morning cleaning is really essential not only for aesthetics but also for our mental health! It gives us peace of mind to start the day.
Thanks for sharing your reset routine! 🌿 Cleaning is also a part of my self care routine - so important for the mind and physical environment.
Thank you Elina (:

Thank you so much! (:
Absolutely a clutter-free home! I love everything about your home. And the rug in the living room is my most favorite.

@ Thomas McCall : no, you're not "some nutjob". You're someone with an education ! Mother Nature shall triumph over the errors of men.
I was unmotivated before, but now I think I'll do a quick tidy-up to begin the week a little better. ❤️

It really is! (:
Love watching your videos! So much in common: Christian ✅ Minimalist ✅
Lol "so much"
*Lists two things*
Thanks Isabel (:
I just like video because I love cleaning 🥰
What is that plant on the dining table I love it
What type of dog you have ? It’s really CUTE .✨💚
Cooper is a toy aussie! (:
Hi! Sorry , where are your coasters from? Are they cork? Are those compostable? And then your napkin you wiped the counter with, where did you find? 😊
What type of plant do you have on your dining table? I love the simplicity of it!
It's an avocado plant!
I would love to know how you hang your sheets on hangers!?
Just whatever way works haha! I use the clothespins to keep the fitted sheets from sliding off.
Nice home. 👋
I like the idea of a lumi but honestly we have almost no food scraps in our house so I’m not sure it’s worth the investment.

What if you collected a month's worth in the freezer?

I love cleaning videos.
Walnut oil will go rancid
Haven't had any problems with ours so far! Fingers crossed, but there are definitely other alternatives if that doesn't work for you.
