I miss how holos used to be. Not only was it crazy to pull one, but cosmic holos were so pretty.
I love when Rev opens older sets because there was a chunk of time where I wasn’t opening packs so I get to experience them through him.
This was a nostalgia trip. I miss the days when Holo was the peak of rarity as well.
The Flashfire packs look so good, it’s crazy.
Im addicted to this channel, not a day goes by where I'm not watching a new upload or older booster box opening.

Crazy to think as a kid I never realized just how valuable these older packs would eventually become.
RIGHT? i started collecting pokemon cards back in 2008, stopped in about 2014, seeing people say these diamond and pearl and platinum sets are worth over $100 per pack when we used to get them for about $4 is so crazy to me
You think that's bad? I bought a rocket booster box for 36 bucks back in the day. Granted I pulled charizard, raichu, blastoise and dragonite to name a few but it was $36 lol

What a walk down memory lane. I miss those sets that weren't overrun with ultras. The pulls were so meaningful and rewarding.

@@finnafishfl Ugh so true. Things slowly went downhill when cosmos holos weren't the standard anymore. I wouldn't even mind all the different kinds of rares if there weren't so many of them to keep up with.
@@a-b0t633 yup, too many variants and too many in general. And I just don't like digital artwork as much, its lacks the sole of the old cards. I thought it was full arts turning me off but trainer gallery's are beautiful. I wish they'd do one set with new cards but in an older style. Like the light toxtricity promo from celebrations. Had the look of the Neo gen Holo cards
@@finnafishfl If they'd phase out older variants for new ones it would be less cluttered. Rainbow rare AND gold? Trainer gallery AND alt art? I'm not looking forward to what they're planning to add to the pile in Scarlet & Violet.
I think your best videos are when you start with modern packs and work your way back to vintage! It’s always so cool going back through generations like that!

After base set 2 I’ve never opened up any generation of packs until celebrations…seeing you open all these different ones just pulls me more and more back into the hobby and collecting!
It's crazy how the packs I carelessly teared through as a kid are now worth hundreds of dollars!

Every time you open older packs the artworks on the cards seem to pop. I guess it's the nostalgia and card design that capture my eye.
Everytime you said "oh this is an old school diamond and pearl pack" I screamed LOL because that was my first gen and it made me feel so old ahhaha

ive never opened one of those booster packs, i never really was aloud to buy pokemon cards as a child only really was aloud when the base set was released so having one of those boosters would make my childhood dream come true and i can share the experience with my kids as i would want them to have what i never had i would stream opening it on my channel to capture there reaction forever on youtube and twitch. love you and your content pokerev watching you makes my day every day.

One time he made me laugh bc he loves this common grass type idk if it was venonat or something, but he loves the art to the point where he says man I love this art, it's so artsy. Like c'mon we can do better then that when describing stuff

greatly expanded my collection every since i started watching your channel and i found a lot of my older rare cards recently
It was so nice to see all those diamond and pearl era sets being opened since that's the generation I started off with, can't believe its been that long now. The arcanine is definitely my favourite card there, I actually own it and remember it being my favourite card that I owned as a kid but unfortunately that meant it being man handled a ton and not being in the greatest of conditions now, I still love it though!

I havent ever has the chsnce to open a lot of these! I stopped with pokemon when I was still young and just got back into it 2-3 years ago and will never have the chance to open these which is a bummer! Thank you for all these videos to help me get my fix lol
