Truly, a fantastic lesson especially on the /ʊ/ sound. The /ʊ/ sound resonates in the throat - was the best part for me. I watched at least 10 videos by different instructors and some of them pronounce the /ʊ/ sound differently that I can't describe or write down here. I feel most part of the sound of /ʊ/ is in throat. That makes the job much easier for me. Wish you peace ma'am always.
So grateful for this video. I am taking a pronunciation course in an app and after doing hundreds of different sounds trying to get the /u/ sound right, I gave up and started looking for videos. The magic happened with your tip about feeling the vibration in my lips. So simple but so hard. You are amazing. Thanks again!!!
It is a great lesson yet I'm still difficult to verify how to pronounce of some words between English and American pronunciation. Yet thank you so much for your lesson. Best regards
That can be difficult! That's why I usually tell students to stick to focusing on teachers with the same accent if they can. But at the end of the day as long as you can make yourself understood, it doesn't matter that much. It doesn't have to be perfect.
Wow! You are one excellent phonetic english teacher I have ever come accross on youtube. The explanation is very clear. This is exactly what I have been looking for thanks a million🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Are there any rules, when (in which words) we make the sound the short 'oo' /ʊ/ and long 'oo' /uː/?
Thank you so much!
